After using my iPhone 5 since launch, my iPad 3 feels so slow. Will have to check out the specs on the iPad Mini and make a decision.

I sold mine a few weeks ago and have been using a Nexus 7 in its stead. I miss iOS but not the weight of the iPad 3. I am really looking forward to the smaller iPad. If it doesn't come I'll wait to see what Apple does in the spring.

yeah 16:9 is nice for movies but i dont think it would be good for reading books or websites though

Agreed. Even with the iPhone 5, I'm still not sure about the new taller aspect ratio. Sure, you can watch 16:9 movies without letterboxing, but reading ebooks on the taller screen leaves me feeling a bit off-balance. Sure you can see more lines on the screen, but having the line width stay the same doesn't help me read any faster. I used to turn my iPhone sideways to get the right line width, but now when I turn it sideways the line is too long. :(

I want to sell my iPad 3rd gen just to sell it... but oddly having a very hard time parting with it.

I barely use it though. :T

If iPad mini will have 7" screen, then definitely not, I'm really enjoying the big retina screen on my iPad and I wouldn't change it for something smaller...
To be honest, even if the rumors are all over, I don't want to believe Apple will release such a thing like iPad mini...

I will likely get the mini to play with, but no way am I selling my 3rd gen iPad. I love it - use it all the time.

Why would you?

I'm going to go ahead and say what's going to happen. In late October Apple is going to have their event and announce the iPad mini. And then they will actually do the "one more thing" thing and announce the iPad 3S. The iPad mini (just to piss off people whining about the speed of the A5X) will have the A5X while the new iPad 3S will have the A6 and they'll double the RAM on it.

iPad mini - A5X, 512MB of RAM
iPad 3S - A6, 1GB of RAM

They have to make sure there's still incentive to buy the full size and this will also give them the ability to drop the price down another $100 compared to what it would be if they gave it same specs as the iPhone. It's going to be the touch in the touch-iPhone comparison.

I am replacing all my products with Apple. Have iMac, iPad (new) soon to get iPHone 5 and YES! I will buy the iPad mini. I am a senior citizen and thought I would never use the iPad. It is now my "second" computer, the one I use on the main floor as a computer, tv, net surfer. Carrying the iPad with me when I am out (I use it for my stock/option trading) is a bit bulky, so I WILL BUY a mini with most HD I can. I have 64 GB on my new iPad!

This is kinda like asking if we would trade our new 2012 BMW Alpina B7 for the new 2013 BMW 1 series sport. Again I say what kind of a question is this....

Nope, not selling the iPad 3. We may buy a Mini so we will be a 2 iPad household, and I can finally take mine to work and get rid of the pen and notepad. :D

If it is retina then yes! However if a full size iPad 4 comes out at the same time I don't know what I'll do.

How much less than retail should I sell my 2month old 16gb 3rd gen iPad?

Anyone know if I return my iPad 3 within the 2 week window, will apple allow me to purchase and iPad mini (2 i hope) with the refund?
