So fun to see!
I posted the idea for charms on the open Milanese lug and utter silence swallowed the idea of transitioning "silver" to gyellow gold like my personal jewelry.

Edit: yep this is rose gold but you know what I mean! #
I must have missed that post because I would have up voted the idea. Wish I thought of it, I would have gotten the Milanese. I was hesitant even though I thought the Apple one was pretty because I had a mesh band in the past that was stiff and uncomfortable and pinchy where it joined the watch.

I ended up with the 38 mm SS with black sport band. I do a lot of gardening and landscaping and needed something that could withstand dirt and sweat and being washed off. But I want to dress it up with a leather band eventually. And maybe the Milanese loop.

Don't forget your nails, ladies! Lol!

In anticipation of receiving my 38mm White sport, I got my nails done...crazy, I know!

That was my plan for Thursday! I'm getting a 42mm white sport but I think I'm going to go for pink nails. I like how you got the white all ready for the watch though.

That's what I went with to start, but after my Apple Store try-on visit I ordered the Milanese loop for going out. :D

Now if only my status would change....

Admittedly I had my regular fortnightly appointment, so went with the theme!

That's great! I love it!!

I love big watches (using a 38mm Michael Kors chronograph now)...can't wait to get my 38mm sport with white band. Looking forward to all the aftermarket bands and I'll be getting one of those adapters for using regular bands with the watch too.

Photos from my try-on experience

I love big watches too but after trying on the watch I had ordered (the 42 mm SS w/milanese loop), I decided that it was just too big on my wrist. You can see on one of the pictures how the band wraps around my wrist nearly double. I just thought that it looked odd.

Forgive my pictures - my hands are all puffy from traveling home on a red-eye from Kauai earlier that day. :/

You can see how the 38 mm just looks more natural on my wrist. Since I'm in business it's going to be important for me to have a watch that looks classy and not like I'm trying too hard to show off my new tech.

I ended up canceling my original order and went with the 38 mm SS w/milanese loop and also ordered the green sport strap (Go Hawks!) for fun. I will likely order one of the leather modern buckle strap tonight after looking at the pictures here. I really like those - a very classy look too.

Despite changing my mind on the watch, my delivery date only shifted slightly - May 14-28 where previously it had said the 17-27th.

I'm really hoping that the delivery dates will shift now that Apple knows what everyone wants and has adjusted production accordingly.

Sandy

I felt the same way, Sandy. I usually love big watches, but I thought the 38mm would "go" with more occasions: work, casual, dressy. I'll add some extra bands at some point ( or aftermarket). Can't wait to get it!!

Do you recall your wrist circumference? Distance across? I also ordered the 42 mm SS Milanese and thought better of it, in favor of the 38, during try-on appointment. There was no 42 w/ Milanese in store to compare and I didn't want to lose my early delivery....so....awaiting the 42mm and we'll see.

Sorry I haven't measured my wrist yet. I have a proper measuring tape at the office and keep forgetting to measure. Will do it tomorrow!

If it helps at all I typically have to have 3-4 links taken out of every watch band I've gotten so I would say my wrist is pretty normal.

Thanks for the pics, that combo looks good on your wrist!

I'm feeling slightly envious that I didn't get the stainless case. My rings are white gold so stainless would match better, but I figured I would get the stainless option for the next watch if I think the watch is useful. I'm getting really excited for my watch to arrive, hopefully Friday!

Have you guys seen casetify? Until Friday their bands are $50 and you can put whatever you want on them, also if you look online you can find a $10 off coupon and it's free shipping. This is one of my designs...

I have seen those, what are they made of?

I'm not sure, I'm assuming the same material the sport bands are made of. I just like the idea of being able to customize something different than everyone else has, ya know?

OH OH OH ME TOO!

Sorry got excited there lol

To anyone reading this forum not on an Apple device, it reads like you're a big square fan!

I usually wear bigger watches as well (mens watches), but I opted for the 38mm. So far, I'm the only woman I know that went with the SS Link as well. I tried it on and several people said that they liked that over the Milanese on me. It's not "masculine" but it looked like it could be dressed up and down. I'm loving it and can't wait! I got the Milanese just in case, but I really think I'll stick with the link.

I'm not even coping after this casetify thing! I can have a matching strap to my iphone case.

Oh its the little things!

I ordered the 38 mm as I have small wrists 40 mm width. When I went for my try on appointment I found the 42 mm bulky so I'm glad u went with the 38. It sat just right on my wrist.

Trust me I know!!! I have 27 designs on my account, it's hard to pick just one.

I got the 42mm and I haven't seen many women choosing that size, in getting nervous it's going to be huge on me.

Just bought one  omg I dunno where to stop lol. It's a photo of me and Lady Gaga (proud moment don't judge lol)
