Well here is another follow up...I realized that when there is oil from my hand on the film is when the marks really show up. It looks perfectly clear(for the most part) when wiped clean but the following is what I see when I have handled the film:

You can see the fingers from the instructions on this one:

Tonight I received what I thought was my Wrapsol original. Installed the front first which came out fine, then I moved on to the back. To my surprise that back wasn't matte. To late to call them tonight but I think they sent me an ultra in the original box. I received the spray and the directions for the original but looks like someone packaged the wrong film in it's box. I did use the spray for the film and it doesn't look all that bad but I am going to call them in the morning because I want my matte back.

I advise others to wait a day or so before sending it back. I am actually pretty satisfied with mine now(though it shows finger prints really bad).

This is very disconcerting to me. If the fingerprints are that bad on the front and back, I don't think I'm even going to want to use my Ultra at all. Even if I got the original I would assume that fingerprints are going to be a problem on the front anyway since only the back is matte.

Mine aren't fingerprinting at the moment.

Edit >> Actually, just took a look in the direct sunlight and I see what you mean.

I told you guys, top notch customer service :)

If you have a problem, they will take care of you.

I have no doubt in my mind my Wrapsol original will look beautiful on the phone

Not mine. I can force it on but it doesn't fit correctly and has gaps between the phone and bumper. Just to be clear I am talking about the warpsol ultra with the side skins. With jut the front and back it fits fine but I wanted the side pieces invade any dirt got between the bumper and phone.

So I installed mine today. The clairty is better then the zagg and the fit is so much better than the zagg. I just hope that the airbubbles go away. It was much harder to install than the zagg. I used some of the left over zagg liquid and it made then install easier.

Does your side skins stick perfectly? Mine either has gaps or it's too short. Mine didn't seem to be cut properly. Then again I guess it doesn't help that the side skins were stuck right onto my back skin so I had to peel really hard to get them off the back skin.

Learn from my mistake and be careful when applying the standard Wrapsol! I was attempting to reposition the Wrapsol while it was one my phone so I peeled the film back and (so I thought) sprayed the wetting liquid directly onto the film while it was attached to my phone. Unfortunately, some of the liquid must've gotten into the dock connector port because now the moisture sensor in there has turned pink. Grrrr. Fortunately, the phone still works fine, but I suspect my phone's no longer covered by warranty. Out-of-warranty repairs (even due to water damage) are only $200, so that's fair, but be careful with spritzing that liquid!!

They were a little short but in the instructions it says to 'stretch as necessary to align'. So it took a few tries getting the stretch perfect but it is a great fit now.

Anyone know how long it takes the original wrapsol to ship? I placed my order last Sat and got the confirmation email but have yet to receive the shipping email. I do live in the UK but opted for FedEX shipping.

Also, I really appreciate the great customer service here. I have to reinstall my Ultra (the back was screwed up on delivery and they sent out a replacement quickly). I love the look of the Ultra and I hope it works out! I have a couple of dust specks on my first attempt, front screen, so it's frustrating (but all screen protectors are frustrating to apply). I'm going to do both sides from scratch (so to speak).

For waverers, the Wrapsol will be very protective (should I ever get it on right). The thickness is great, and the screen clarity is unaffected.

Hope I can get this install to work!

Wrapsol not only needs to improve the process of packing and making these skins, but seriously those side cuts are horrible!

Again as a user of a 3GS Wrapsol, I actually found it to be one of, if not THE best product for 3GS.

Had an amazing texture and stayed on the phone for months. Great cuts, great customer service.

Looking at that skin for Iphone 4 makes me think it was hand cut for gods sakes.

Wrapsol, stop selling that stuff, revise it and make this right for your customers.

VERY disappointed in what I've seen in here.

I agree, the side pieces don't fit all that great and I really don't know why they made the sections stop at the antenna joints and leave them open. Maybe now they will make the pieces one piece now that it's good to cover up the antenna joints.

So, I put the Ultra kit on yesterday and I like the fit for the front and the back. The sides are a little tricky, but what people don't realize is that you have to work them to fit the sides. The stretch and even after the application, you can squeeze them to make them a touch longer or just pull them to make them fit.

My problem is the many bubbles that I have on under the front and back films. I hope to god that they go away, because if they don't, these are going back. It's been about 12 hours and I absolutely need for my screen and back to be completely clear of any marks or bubbles. I installed the Ultra without any liquid. If the bubbles don't go away by the end of the day, I'll try and take it off and re-apply it with some water.

Wrapsol, I'll back the suggestion to mail the Ultra kit with some of the liquid spray. Furthermore, go back to the old method of packing. I remember seeing videos of sturdy boxes you used to use for the Original on youtube.

My guess would be if they covered over the antenna joints that would be a great place for a lot of dust and lint to get trapped there, making the film in those areas look like crap.

I bought the original and I think it actually looks pretty damn good.

Once it dried that is. When I first put it on, it looked like ass.

I like the back THAT MUCH MORE than the front. The front looks decent but I personally like the look of a crystal clear screen protector much much more. The sides near the sim card were horribly cut.

Overall, I'd give this a B-. I wish they would sell the back alone. It's really, really worth it. The sides and front... eh, I don't hate them but I'm not "in love" with them.

Install was pretty straight forward. But the way it looks so bad when you're "finished" leaves you very very worried. :p

I wish they sold the matte back seperately as well. The front and sides are just OK but the matte back is their money maker. That matte look is just beautiful.

I pre-ordered the Power Support crystal film...their front film on the 3GS was just perfect.

Here are some pics. You can see that the edges seem to be attracting lint.

I certainly can do a better job working around the edges. They seemed too "short" vertically and I had to stretch it a bit. Obviously, I didn't do it enough.

Here are a few of the sides:

The mess by the volume rocker is lint. I should have cleaned it and re-taken the picture but I am too lazy at this point.

The front and back seemed like they weren't long enough, just by a mm or so as well.

Could you post pictures from the front of the screen on? I just want to see how the clarity is affected, if at all

Is that the original or ultra?

There is no clarity effected, at all, once it dries. I love my Power Support/SGP crystals. But there really is no difference here, as long as you don't get thumbprints or anything on during the install. Make sure your fingertips are very wet and clean!

The sides are exposed because I didn't work them around, for the most part. Heck, it's completely stretchy so you can cover it if you would like. I didn't want to do that. But like I said, the sim tray and dock connector could be better.

And please don't quote the pictures!! No need to see them multiple times throughout the thread.
