I'm another very happy customer. The new Wrapsol came perfectly packaged without any hitches. It seems that they used the same method as they used for the old Original skins. This is the wider cardboard packaging that I saw on you tube videos. I'll have picture up later after my phone has fully cured. I just put it on last night using the wet method. Let me tell you that the install was much easier and the bubbles were considerably less. I also installed another one for a friend just now. You really have to make sure that your phone is clean and free of dust. I just mixed a few drops of dish washing liquid in a small spray bottle and I was set to go.

Right after the application, you'll notice that it looks like crap. But you have to understand that it may take DAYS for this to fully cure and come out nice. In 24 hours, there is a significant difference but after about 4 or 5 days, it's very nice. There is a bit of orange peel, but it's nothing like my girlfriend's Zagg cover that she has on her 3G. I've ordered her an original because as she installed hers, she ended up getting two big bubbles that seem to be permenant.

Now, the main difference from the first batch and the second batch other than the packaging is the side pieces. I junked my side pieces because these new ones are much nicer. They are of a completely different design. It comes with three pieces rather than the many different pieces as seen in the first batch. The one thing I noticed is that the was no piece that went between the side volume buttons so I kept the piece from the first batch.

I'll have pics of the film, packaging and finally, how it looks on the phone soon.

Nieval, did you put the side strips that came with the wrapsol? I also purchased the wrapsol original for iphone 4. I read may conflicting advises about the side strip installation. Some say bumper won't fit when it's installed while others say the fit will be better when it's there.

It's a tight fit and if you don't do it carefully you can pull up the edges, in that it looks like there's air bubble in certain areas. I've got the side strips on and used the needle to lift the bumper edges, no issues whatsoever. I have read that if you take the sides off it fits better but i'ld rather keep them on because I don't plan on using the bumper all the time. If I had a cam i'd post pics sorry, but if you've got more questions i'l try my best to answer.

I, like many, got a bad first ultra skin. I called and requested another one and before i could hang up the phone had a new overnight tracking number in my email.

Received the replacement ultra yesterday and have to say it is a definite improvement. The first one was all stuck together and badly cut. The replacement is flawless. I also like the revisions they made to the side pieces. They were easier to apply and look much better.

I had numerous tiny bubbles on the front and back when i went to bed last night, but when I woke up this morning they had all vanished.

I'm very happy with the Wrapsol Ultra, now that they've got the quality control issues worked out.

I got an Orginal for the IP4 out of the first shipment. I sent them an email and got my new set installed last night. The new ones are A+ material. I love the way they look and feel. Thanks Wrapsol for correcting the problem!

Alright everyone that's been complaining about the bubbles...have you done anything besides sit and wait for them to go away? I had bubbles after my installation as expected, but did I stare at them and piss and moan for the next day or two waiting for them to vanish? no...I used my fingernail and pushed all the bubbles out. After 15 minutes no bubbles! wow...so why don't you actually finish the job of putting on the screen protector and quit complaining about something that's not wrapsol's fault.

Received replacement

I submitted a warranty claim yesterday around 9am and just received my replacement. 1 day turnaround time, can't really say enough about their customer service.

I think they got caught up in the whole pre-order deadline and simply rushed their product. It could have had a negative effect on their name/product but they have rectified the situation nicely.

I pre-ordered the Wrapsol Original and the side pieces were all messed up. The new ones are cut perfectly, the quality control has been improved 10 fold.

Remember, this films can be stretched out once you align all the cutouts. Use your license or a credit card to smooth out the surface and eliminate all the air bubbles. The matte back looks fantastic and the front needs the most time to dry and "heal"

I'll be replacing the front with a Powersupport film because their fronts are the best in the business but the matte back is just stunning. I've decided to leave off the sides because I'll eventually put on the white bumper as soon as Apple ships it.

Yes, forgot to mention in my earlier post, but a big pat on the back to Wrapsol's customer service! They are doing an excellent job of replacing the skins and doing so with free overnight shipping. I can't say enough about a company that takes their time and money to do everything possible to correct mistakes, all while being courteous to their customers. I will always recommend them!

Add me as another who got their replacement today and is very happy with it.

Forgive me for not reading through every post in this almost 40 page thread, but how is the clarity of the front screen protector that comes with the original? Any orange peel effect? Fingerprint magnet? I had gotten the ultra but got a refund because I got one from the bad batch but I'm thinking about trying the original (just for the front though - don't really want a matte back since I use the Apple logo as a mirror). Already have Bodyguardz on the back and front and there's definitely an orange peel look to it that I don't like. I'm probably going to end up with a PS on the front anyway but I'd like to see how you guys like the Original fronts in the meantime.

Not a user of the Original, but as for the Ultra...clarity is perfect and seems to be unaffected by the skin. It definitely is a fingerprint magnet though! You can see a tiny hint of orange peeling if you hold the phone in the right angle in the light with the screen off, but this isn't visible when using the phone, and you also can't feel any orange peel effect.

I have the clear Ultra back on mine, and you can still use the apple logo as a mirror perfectly with the Ultra clear back on there.

Give it about 3-4 days, that is when the marks and streaks from the packaging went away.

I agree, it takes 2-3 days before the small bubbles work themselves out and it can take up to a week before the big ones disappear. It just takes time.

Mine is looking better today... still not close to perfect, but better. The bubbles seems to be disappearing very slowly. But the marks from the instructions are still there. The back looks almost perfect now, only 2 very small (1mm or so) bubbles remain, and I am sure they will disappear shortly.

I called this morning to get a replacement because of the missing side piece, and they were great, told me to fill out the online warranty form, but that I didn't have to worry about a picture (he said just attach any picture you have because the system won't let you go on without one). I got a confirmation email a few minutes later, and I am just waiting for the shipping notification, hopefully they will be fast!

Ok thanks, I wish they would improve more quickly, but hopefully the clarity of this film compared to other companies will be worth the wait!

So how are the sidestrips installed? It seems like the holes are not cut.

Received my replacement for the bad order of the Ultra film set, I originally purchased. This time I asked for the Original film to be sent to me instead. The install was easy and so far it looks great. I really like the matte back piece of the Original.

Jesus christ people...use your fingernails and push them out. You don't have to sit there and watch them disappear. I pushed mine out and so did other people in this thread and...surprise they disappear.

Is there any way to install the side films without getting fingerprints on them?

Calm down, I would like to try and push them out with my fingernails, but it has now been 18+ hours, so the film around the bubbles is pretty much cured and so it doesn't work very well, and I would rather be patient than possibly mess up the film. Plus most of the bubbles are not big enough to even move, they are microbubbles (probably about 1/100 of an inch in size, so they are grouped together and sort of look like grainy fog, only way I can think to describe them haha) I am sure these will disappear, I just wish it would happen a little more quickly, but I am will to wait so that it looks the best that it can.

Wouldn't the front-facing camera with the Camera App be a much better solution for your needs? :D

This has to be some kind of joke.

I was sent a replacement Ultra instead of the original I ordered the first time.

Why is this such a difficult thing to get right??? This is my 3rd replacement - The first two had this terrible looking oil imprint that would not go away on the face skin and then I figure out this one is an Ultra. Now it makes sense why I didn't have solution. I figured they didn't send it since I only asked to have the front replaced.

This is SO ANNOYING. Yellow Frog replied to me email immediately asking Katie to take care of me. Katie didn't respond to my emails asking if she needed anything else. I received a shipped notification so I figured everything was ok.

I'm pretty much done. Thought I'd give it another shot after the last time but I don't have the energy to keep doing this anymore. I'm going with something else.

This entire thing has been silly. HOW difficult is it to have someone look over what the heck they are sending me and get it right????

I have avoided clear-coat protection for their inability to respond to emails. Here, Wrapsol has been very willing to send me replacements that still aren't up to snuff.

Unbelievable.

I just got my shipping notification for my replacement, and they DID NOT overnight it (I have a estimate of the 13th). I thought they said they were overnighting all replacements...

This has to be some kind of joke.

I was sent a replacement Ultra instead of the crystal I originally ordered.

What crystal? The only options are Ultra or Original. If you asked for crystal on the phone, then they probably figured you meant Ultra since the Original is matte. Are you confusing them with SGP?

Bootsie - my replacement was overnighted to CA. Just received it a few minutes ago, actually.
