a procedural question for the ChrmJenkins the Almighty:

when the instakill is used, does it reset the day by cancelling all votes and re-establishing a new deadline (if one was set), or things go on as before, with just the votes involved (by and for the insta-killed) being voided?

All votes for killed are vacated, new deadline is setup. Other votes stand. I will setup the deadline explicitly since I'll have to communicate the insta-kill via post.

I vote for philbeeney as he voted for me and I got wasted at the weekend and completely forgot to follow the game.

All looks academic now.

I don't wish to be a pooty-parper, but one does have to boldeth the accused for the vote to count. However, getting wasted on a weekend is an acceptable excuse for not following protocol. :D

First of all: I want to know where the narration goes. ASAP!

Second: I wasn't sure ucfgrad was a traitor. I was merely saying hello (and wanted to play with my new toy-catapult). He can hang tomorrow for all I care. He was quite cool and stayed silent while being wildely accused, I'll give him that. (And take some brief notes to myself)

Third: Are you seriously questioning my loyalty? While hiding in my shadow!?

Sir Twietee, no need to be so defensive. Of course I don't believe that you are a traitor. I have no proof either way but you have seemed to be very loyal to the crown during my many years of service to you.

Would you like me to procure companionship for your lordship this evening and sleep outside your door in the hallway to prevent anyone from bothering your nocturnal activities ?

ScepticalScribe yes you are right Mylady, and don't forget it when you'll taste my wrath tomorrow as I will lead your traitor litle self to the gallows... As you could say, a magnificent view for everyone...

There are only a few hours left my lord before your sword will taste blood once more. Only one voice remains silent and few trust the self proclaimed Targaryen lord Jav.

Lord, the deadline has been reached - here are the official tallies of accusations for the day. jimN did indicate a disliking for philbeeney but didn't register an official accusation (name wasn't bolded) but it would have made no difference to who will find your blade awaiting them.

FenrisMoonlight - Squire in service of the King's Justice

Merrick hadn't stopped pacing the halls since Lysa's strange audience that day. His boots had clicked every hall in the Eyrie more times than he could count. He knew his body needed to rest, but his mind was having none of it. He was going to find out something through dogged perseverance.

He was still pacing in his dreams when he came to. His face slipped from his fist and he nearly broke his nose on the table. He muttered soft curses when he realized he had fallen asleep while allowing himself a small break. The darkness of night had settled in on the room he had finally decided to rest in. As he began to stand up and resign himself to the fact he'd spend tonight in his bed the same nameless guardsman as the night before, he heard a soft murmuring from somewhere.

He slipped soundlessly to his feet, fighting to blink the sleepiness from his eyes and clear his head. The sound seemed to be seeping through the stone walls. He couldn't even make out distinct sounds as words, but he was sure it was talking.

He began to silently creep around the room, in growing circles to try and determine the source of the sound. Once he determined the direction, Merrick was able to determine which hall to take. The whispering grew louder.

He was a fool. If soft words could be heard this easily through the hall, his feet hammering through the halls probably kept half the Seven Kingdoms awake. He had done nothing more than work up an appetite that day. His stomach protested audibly, reminding him of that.

Merrick's ear met the door and the words finally started to make sense.

"...the boy... seless... maester ... ood... blame..."

He pressed his face flush with the door, straining to hear more.

"...and that's why I've always told you... what good is a hand if it has no blade..."

Merrick shot erect. His hand lashed over to the pommel of his sword, tugging wildly at it. He sent the sword skittering across the stone floor. DAMMIT. With clenched teeth, he threw himself to the floor, desperately feeling for it in the dark. He heard wild scrambling and scraping from the other side of the door.

He found the sword and lurched to his feet, throwing his shoulder into the door. He saw a mess of heels flashing through the other door.

"STOP!"

Merrick raced forward, charging toward the fleeing voices when he saw one of them catch a toe on the stone floor. The conspirator's hands grasped wildly at the air as he crashed to the floor. Merrick was on him before he could finish turning over.

He lifted the traitor up by the collar of his doublet. The traitor sputtered words at him as the torch in the room sent his look of shock to fear, menacing and back.

"You better start talking" he barked at the man. In response, he only sputtered gasps at Merrick as his head slumped forward and he went limp. Merrick could hear footsteps hammering away from the far door.

Merrick let the man fall to the floor, where the torch caught the blade of the dagger in his back, casting shimmers of amber on his lifeless body.

jav6454, a traitor, is dead.

Excellent. :D

Worth noting are the final, pile on votes when momentum swung toward jav. Saving your future skin by voting off a teammate is a common tactic by traitors.

Morning all, good story telling although I am a little lost as to how this all ties back to the original werewolf games. Can someone humour me and just tell me if the fact that Jav was described as a traitor mean he was a baddy.

Is there anyway to bold when using the forum from the iPhone? Not the end of the world if there isn't, I'll just have to get to my laptop more often.

Seems like we can be rather sure jav wasn't this games Athena. Not 100%, but should be more than 99%.

While that is being right, I've given a speech as to why I would vote for Jav instead of DP when he had only two votes, long before I've switched or any bandwagon occurred. Ask DP! :D
But I do agree with your general auto-accusation.

jimN, I feel your pain, bolding on the phone is no fun! But then again since when are these games meant to be fun and entertaining?

To put a word or more in bold on the phone;

put square brackets with a 'B' in them before the name and Square brackets with '/B' in them at the end of the name :)

SilentPanda started the bandwagon on Jav and ,though not cleared, he could be considered very doubtful.

Sir Twietee did urge us to switch to Jav from ucfgrad93 after ucfgrad93 picked up many initial votes (before the bandwagon on Jav occurred). That would make Sir Twietee less likely to be a traitor unless ucfgrad93 was one also.

well, it seems we are off to an excellent start!!!
there is a chance that jav is actually the master of whispers, AKA the good traitor, AKA the seer, but i would imagine Jav would have said something in that case, as there would be absolutely no reasons to keep it secret with this format.
so i think we are in the clear for that.

any bad traitor is a good scenario, but best case one IMO is if he was The Red Man, as we would have taken away the kamikaze killings from the traitors.
The Dirk would be quite good too, as we wouldn't have to worry about The Bought man anymore

and great story, chris!

in this game, in general traitors=wolves. however, our 'seer' (the master of whisper) is a traitor/wolf, but is aligned with the good/loyals.
we don't know for sure yet if jav was a bad or good traitor. well, actually the traitors do know, or will know for sure by morning.
for the bolding, just type a B between brackets before the word and /B between brackets after the word.

as mentioned above, he could be the seer, although one would hope he would have spoken out, since he did participate to the discussion towards the end.
