Nowhere in the rules does it state that the Red Man select who he reanimates. It says if a traitor is lynched, he reanimates them. My assumption is he reanimates the first one (and the 2nd one if he can do it twice). But maybe I'm being too literal.

True, makes more sense that way in reality... I take my question back, although the role is a bit on the passive side then.

I want to play!

On a side note, I think The Bought Man should not show traitor, when scan by the seer, if he did not defect yet on the bad side.

A wonderful theme for a WW game. Sadly, it appears to be a bit too complex for me to be of any use other than aimlessly voting. Still, if you need another player, I guess I'll play.

We technically have a "full" roster but I can adjust the rules and roles to let more people in. I'm going to let people continue to join until 9 PM PST tonight since sign-ups have gone so quickly.

For those who played last game, this is mostly the same. The exceptions are that the undertaker absorbed half of the specialists' lynch identification ability along with another new role, The Faceless Man. I've changed TFM's ability so that he sees every person that is a target of a good action each night. Not what the action is, its result or who instigated the action. It is a passive role (I send the PM without them asking).

Since the specialists are gone, no good guys PM'ing each other.

The other significant change is that the kamikaze is an indirect role. If The Red Man is alive (and has contacted the other Traitors), he can let them carry out a Kamikaze attack against the Loyals, up to two times. If they have not contacted him or he is the lynch target, nothing happens with a Traitor death.

I will be telling good and bad people the exact role of good people in post-mortem scans. The Master of Whispers (living scans) only gets good or bad. All Traitors scan as simply "Traitor."

I think it should if The Red Man gets two attempts (which I find a nice addition).

I changed it to two since we got an extra villager.

Questions:

- I take it that The Silent Sister / Lord in Waiting isn't told the specific role of a dead player, just like last game? I didn't understand that actually. Which notification would the LiW and SS receive when scanning the MoW? Both 'Traitor' or 'Good Traitor'? The first would mean an advantage for the Traitor-fraction, since they'd know that it must be the MoW then.

Post-mortem scans get the exact role of a good player. Traitors only scan as "Traitor", thus there wouldn't be much reason to scan a dead bad guy since it would be announced in the thread.

- Is protection extending into the day or does it cease after the night it was given?

It is night only, as it was last game.

- If I understood SilentPanda correctly, he handed in some Kill-requests before the night actually started. Is that possible for The Red Man as well? I'm just asking because of the different time-zones we're playing in (also because it seems lot's of people here haven't got time to follow constantly because of work, kiddos, alcohol or marriages), so if I were The Red Man and see my fellow Traitor in a i.e. 4-4 tie and about to be lynched, can I send in the PM already? I would like that to be possible.

I've always accepted PMs ahead of time. The Red Man does not send PMs to GG unless he controls the nightly killings. If a Traitor dies and TRM has been contacted, that player must give me their kill choice directly. The traitors, even The Bought Man, will know if TRM is alive and his ability applies to their death. Still, I will send a PM requesting their choice if I don't have it yet.

ouch, that went quick.

Do you want in? There's still time.

“...the man who passes the sentence should swing the sword."
"...a ruler who hides behind paid executioners soon forgets what death is.”

You're in. To offset you, I gave TBM two scan attempts the first night too. Of course, I'll take one last pass at balancing once the roster is final.

If people have other ways to contact QoS, SS and jav, they may want to do so so that they have a chance to play if they want.

If we get more players, I may end up adding another vanilla baddie, a medic (good version of TRM with one time choice) and/or consider adding a night's watch equivalent back.

im sure those 3 will see this thread today, and the PM you sent.

There were once a talk about dragons. Yes, far to the east, beyond the sea Where in in this land of Valyria lays the deep roots of the House Targaryen. Yet, something else musters... a new scent of life beyond those ancient roots of flying fire-breathers. It is a long descendant of Aegon Targaryen that stems from a line long forgotten.

It is I, Jav Targaryen, how will lead you all. Bow to my power and my dragons.

Thanks for the clarifications, chrmjenkins.

One last thing (i promise): could you add a link to each night/day in the OP (preferable each event/narrative), please? Would be really nice and much more comfortable to work with later on. Thx!!

Yes, I did that with the last game I ran and people greatly appreciated it.
