Well ucfgrad93 keeps trying to put suspicion upon an innocent (me) - i think this makes him a person of interest.

I have stated my innocence and loyalty on many occasions. I am remorseful for the loss of phil. :( i am upset that i am considered responsible for killing one of our own.

a lot of people are casting suspicion on you, yet you vote for the 'other' person thats being suspicious. smart? we shall see.

not that i entirely believe you, but im going to go with my gut on this one, and with what moyank stated earlier. koodauw.

she says he tries to get the vets out early, and then he voted for philbeeney, starting what he might of seen as an easy lynch (newer player)....

Should I be suspicious that you actually agree with me?? ;)

Sorry, had crap to do this morning.

costabunny. I voted for him/her yesterday #1 because after I had the time to go through the voting activity of the last 2/3 days, the facts point very strongly toward guilt/traitor. In the last 3 days, costabunny has registered many of the deciding bandwagon votes on innocents. It's right there in the voting pattern - including swapping around to join on bandwagons after meaningless votes.

And if costabunny is a traitor, we'll have a decent idea of who he/she is working with, also based on the votes. Yesterday, I wanted to see what the voting activity would be if I didn't reveal my full thoughts - thereby getting a little extra intel. I'm willing to ask people to join this vote because if we're wrong, it's purely bad luck/bad decisions by costabunny and note some random hunch.

I think you make some solid points, and we're far enough in that if we catch a traitor we can get a lot of good info from the votes. one scary thing about newbies (or those that haven't played in a long time) is that they can tend to overcompensate a bit - and that can mean lots of switching. I'm still leaning towards Koodauw, because it's just his MO. There has to be a vet behind this somewhere who knows to go after DP and the like- unless Jav set up a blueprint. But leaving so early it's hard to believe.

However, I'm willing to bet on costabunny. And, if she turns out to be an innocent, hopefully we'll still be able to get a little something out of it.....

One game question, is the dirk just on his own until he finds the bought man?

Or are the the dirk, the sneak, and the lord in waiting all one team to start off with?

Rules say 'Lord in Waiting, the Sneak and The Dirk can PM each other at all times.' so one team.

so if the bought man is active, then they play as a team of 3 (since we got one of them), but the bought man can't communicate with the other traitor, or with either of them if Jav was the dirk right?

Bought Man can only communicate with the Dirk if he's been found.

Your also forgetting that the Red Man could potentially have been found last night so he could be communicating with the others.

----------

It's possible we got the Dirk first day in which case Bought Man can't join the traitors.

On two different days, one of either Comeagain? and JimN failed to even register a vote, let alone post.

A tad harsh, I have tried to vote in all rounds but failed to bold my first round vote.

I'm with Fenris here, was Scepticalscribe writing a pointless non-specific diatribe on wines merely to add to the mood or were they trying to draw the attention of the traitors.

I'd like to point out that that is how Scepticalscribe writes normally. Don't even get her started on certain authors or novels. She'll never stop.

she is a great talker/typer. i learn so many new words when i play with her on these quests. love it.

Certain authors, and books, send me into transports of joy. And as for music, anyone care to discuss Mozart concertos? Then, are the topics of politics and power (best discussed elsewhere, I agree), along with history and culture.

And coffee. And cheese.....And wine. Thus, I will readily concede that I am more than partial to a large glass (or two) of rich, indeed, robust, red wine, the sort that is luscious on the tongue, and perhaps, a little lethal to the liver, and will happily discuss details of real (or imagined) varietals and vintages......

Re that particular post, I think I may have been answering a point DP made about selections of wines on offer in our part of this universe, and wished to add to it, which makes it a response on viniculture, not a 'pointless diatribe'.

And, re the art of conversation online, methinks that the silent taciturn approach is grossly over-rated and - a separate issue, this - subjected to too little scrutiny.......

Thanks for your kind words, my friend. My pleasure......;)

You are absolutely right, of course.......

Not convinced at all by the quote Fenris provided.

Anyway, my vote is not cast in stone, but Koodauw is one of those camouflage players who always stick around while not getting much involved. Like ucf and some others.
It seems like roric is a long time lurker without participating much, but his general post-count suggests that he has just joined MR - another wildcard just like costabunny. Hmmm

Ok, seems like roric is an old fart here at MR but having less than 200 (counted) posts make him probably the perfect lurker by birthright.

@ ravenvii: no, you haven't missed something about Koodauw - at least that I know of.

I think its strong theory. If you look at twietee's voting pattern its some what similar. A random first vote, then switching to whoever is popular.

That's somehow a simplistic view in my opinion. First day I'd agree, but it's the first day and we have to lynch someone without any kind of knowlegde. Second and third day votes of mine were only changed because all three of my targets claimed to be a special (ss, tomorrow, ravenvii). Wouldn't have made any sense to keep voting for them. Also Costabunny never did cast a first vote for somebody - she always followed - I did that rather often. Edit: she did that with rick day2, but as a retaliation vote.

I voted for you today because I wanted a tie and since I'm not utterly convinced that those lost in the woods-players like comeagain and roric (JimN is not part of that category imho since he always responds when mentioned) you and ucfgrad both fitted the profile I think suspicious. Although you did post some today so I might change to ucf.

Indeed, this is my strategy (if you can call it that) - trying to get the gist of who is iffy and who is special etc. following the ones i think are more experienced is my way of picking up the way to play). If this action make me look suspect, then i am in error and need to be more cautious with my voting. Its hard for a noob that has trouble judging peoples intentions both in the outside and internet worlds.

One again i am innocent please do not stringme up (and that darned panda's vote is no pointer to my guilt as he is just annoyed that I've overtaken him in folding!

Comeon you animal lovers - save the bunny!

I find Fenris Moonlight and JimN a bit suspicious for going after SS with such weak excuses. Especially since Fenris cast the first vote of the day...

Do you two have anything stronger to go on than SS's wine post?

Then, are the topics of politics and power (best discussed elsewhere, I agree), along with history and culture.

Those are great topics to discuss. Especially in an historical context. I'm in a state formation seminar this year and have heard a bit too much state theory, but I'm enjoying it!

Thanks for clarifying. I promise not to vote for you since you have been helpful. :p

OK, to explain my longtime member but lack of posting over the last few years. I am one who rarely posts unless I have something to say, yet this game is pulling me out of my comfort zone and that is a good thing. If you look at my post history, you will see that I did not post at all here from Dec 2010 until this game was announced.

I first joined MacRumors while working as the primary Mac support technician for a state university with about 10,000 students. After having my job eliminated in budget cuts, I moved to the university extension system where I am the only support person for the 4-H Youth Development membership enrollment system for the state. On the upside, I have a corner office with a window that overlooks the lake...if you look between those two apartment buildings. At home I have 6 kids and am active in various volunteer organizations. That takes a bit of my time.

I thank chrmjenkins for sending me the PM inviting me to this game as that caused me to return to this board.

Now back to the game...

I assure you that I have not been a party to killing any innocent. The only person who I have voted for that was killed was the traitor, Jav. At this point, I am not ready to vote because I believe in making a decision and sticking to it. There are a few that I am suspicious of due to their weak reasons for voting and hope to narrow it down to vote quickly.

--------Edited
Ok, voting for costabunny who voted late for Jav (changed vote after the pile on was in session) and voted for philbeeny (again changing previous vote). Somebunny who changes votes like that is very suspicious!

double weep - looks like another loyal is going to be wrongly lynched (I am seeing a pattern developing where the traitors win by us offing each other for them) :(

oh well, it seems my fate is sealed, I shall forgive you all when I am dead. part of the game i guess, but I have tried my best to convince you all of my loyalty.

Costabunny, maybe you should stop quoting a movie where the most evil creature is a bunny!

Also you skipped past me in folding while I was asleep. So that gives me a sad.
