Well he did say 'please'. I thought about swooping in 1 minute before the deadline to change my vote since I was harping on people about it for the last day, but now there's no reason since you did!

Now you're SUPER SUSPICIOUS in my book.

See; no good deed goes unpunished! :( i am NOT suspicious

Gareth was fatigued. What the sun did outside seemed to have no more bearing on what he was actually doing. He had been given some extra hand maidens for help, who were next to useless for his tasks. Sure, they could wash a potato, but last he checked, a potato didn't need help into its undergarments or its hair brushed to a mirror shine afterward.

"Oh, so why do they call him the vulture? Is it because he's so ugly?" the small hand maiden asked the other.

"No, that's Merrick. No, they say it's cause whenever death comes 'round, he's always waiting," the other said confidently.

The first one seemed amused. "That's silly, he...," but she stopped when she looked up in his direction.

Gareth became aware that he was staring.

"Useless" he muttered.

They exchanged uneasy glances.

Then Gareth knew they were there to check up on him. He started chopping the vegetables on the table more erratically, not looking down.

"Ahhhh," he yelled as he nicked his finger.

And he was running. With butcher knife in hand, he headed for the great doors. He nearly tripped as he raced around corners, bracing himself on the wall after each turn.

He had to get out.

"LET ME OUT" he screamed to guards as he came to the door.

They drew their blades and faced him, not saying a word. They stood their guard, advancing and retreating in step with him.

"Didn't you hear me?" He had meant to say it with anger, but it came out as pleading. "I just want to leave."

They offered no reply, staying poised to attack.

Gareth charged. His cleaver sparked off steel as he tumbled toward them. He felt a cold pinch in his neck.

philbeeney, a loyal, has died. It is now night 3.

It's so heartbreaking to get offed so early in a big game like this one...makes me wish I could have joined in the festivities a bit longer.

Once again, chrmjenkins, great narrative!

I hope they serve proper 20oz pints of decent beer wherever I'm going. :D

here we go.
it tastes just as good here in the OtherLands

Mord was disappointed he hadn't taken any prisoners with all of these people. No small men to give him gold.

"We can't leave!" one of them shouted.

"Why has she trapped us?" another moaned.

He couldn't think why you would want to. Stupid people.

Mord was sad no one died that night.

It is now DAY 4 and everyone survived the night.

Great News! Everyone lives!

This could mean two things though:
1) The Vulture protects a Loyal (or The Master of Whispers) and Traitors attempt to kill said Loyal: No deaths that night.
2) Traitors attempt to kill The Red Man. The Red Man, the Lord in Waiting and The Dirk are told what happened and no deaths that night.

Am I missing anything?

isn't there someone who knows the moves of who is targeted each night?

Do they know both sides of the wolves and the villagers? Sorry everything breaks down to wolves and villagers for me.

If they know who the bad guys targeted and who the guard protected, and they dont match up, might be time to speak up eh?

If I have the rolls wrong for give me, this game's a bit complex for me.

Don't think so. Let's hope the vulture protected someone and they didn't find the Red Man.

Faceless Man only knows loyal targets.

If we assume the worst case that the Red Man has been found. Then its either been by luck or a subtle hint. I was willing to give our good Lady Scepticalscribe the benefit of the doubt yesterday when she posted this during the night when Tomorrow died, but its perfectly possible the traitors had already decided to kill Tomorrow. I'm sorry 'interesting reds from the Reach ... almost worth dying for' sounds like a plea to be killed to me. Any defense Scepticalscribe

Ouch. Death by (poisoned) fork - what a rotten way to go. Even more rotten when you are a loyal, mistakenly killed by over-eager comrades. My deepest sympathy, Plutonius; I had not ever seen you as one of the enemy.

For now, let us redouble our efforts to identify the murderous miscreants - known to themselves as Traitors - who seemingly live among us.

However, the whispered rumour that speaks of that cellar which is said to contain ancient famed reds from Arbor, along with some of the nectar which passes by the name of Arbor Gold, and suggests that some 'interesting' reds from Reach may be found there, sounds rather attractive........almost worth dying for.

A little fast out of the starting blocks.

Ah, yes, that was a discussion about the merits of various vintages of wine, as I recall.

Foe the record, I am not on the side of evil. I have stated this before, but shall now repeat it. And moreover, I'll simply say 'twould be a most misfortunate act to do away with me.

Whew, we all survived!:D

Yes, that is very good news indeed.

And I agree with the analysis above. Either the Red Man has been found by his searching fellows, or, a protection worked and a planned kill did not. Let us hope it was the latter......
