The horse is dead... move on guys.. sheesh...

Dead people and non-participants can only post lolcats from now on. There. It's done.

I actually lol'd hard at this.

Can we PLEASE stop with the "well he did, why can't I" stuff?

Can we just now agree that ONLY players remaining in the game can voice their input on the roles of other players?

I mean, we are all adults here right? Surely this is an understandable position that does NOT require constant complaining

I am not complaining, but I will defend myself if I get accused.

I know I did not do right by stating that post, but if I get cornered by it by someone else out of the game, I will point out the other's intermissions.

In which case, I have.

You’d think.

One more post and I’m going to stop this car!

Too late mom

Well, in a like vein, there are questions and observations I have avoided through the game because I was concerned about becoming monster chow the following night if I opened my mouth. Having something on the line is part of the game just as much as having knowledge is.

Now, I think we all have a reasonable common understanding, so perhaps everybody can calm down and we can get back to murdering one another in a friendly and responsible manner. ;)

I agree completely on all points.

But lying is perfectly permissible by the rules, so calling Jav scummy or hollow or any other derogatory adjective for employing a strategy that you wouldn't personally use is downright low.

I think it was awesome that anjinhamarota was able to finess her way so close to the finish line, but that doesn't mean that we should expect everyone to play the same way. That would get boring fast.

I don't think it's right to insult players for playing styles that are clearly 100% within the rules.

I didn't mean to insult anyone over it, I said it before and I'll say it again I thought jav did a fantastic job defending himself, and I didn't mean to call him hollow or any other derogatory terms! And I do see your point, and I think in this game you probably do have to lie once or twice, but I think that if you can do what anjij and jav did, which is use deception as much as possible without lying, why not? It only makes the game more interesting and you get bragging rights! :p

And I wasn't insulting anyone over their style; If they want to use that style, their choice, I just find that in my opinion, when people don't use outright lies and tries more deception, like anjij and jav did, it makes the game more fun and more interesting! :D

I just want to post something and I won't post anymore about this issue.

Jav's post, deliberally or not, was casting suspicious on someone else. The only reason I then posted what I did in response to his post is because I think people shouldn't immediately be put on a watch list because they can't be online for every second of the game.

The reason I've been arguing since then isn't because I want to be able to keep posting everything I want in the thread; it just bothered me that when a non-player with obvious knowledge that could influence the game (Jav, since he was dead) said something that could make you all suspicious of a current player no one noticed but when I (a non player) said to another non player (jav) "No, you're wrong" then everyone got up in arms about it. Yes, that bothers me.

That is not what happened, and if you read all of my posts you will see that.

I asked you to stop because I had reasonable cause to. I did not ask Jav to stop because I did not have the ability to tell another player what to do (yes, he is still a player even if he is dead, he is then a dead player) and did not think he was breaking the rules based on what happened last game. When it was pointed out to me by mscriv that it is in fact against the rules for jav to continue posting I revised my request to ask that the both of you please stop.

I did not single you.

But why would it be ok for a dead player to influence the game? He had an obvious bias and obvious knowledge that I wouldn't have. I just don't understand that even if it wasn't explicit that it was against the rules.

I cannot satisfactorily answer a question that is based on a falsehood. You show me where I said it I think it ok for Jav to continue posting, and then I may be able to provide an answer. In the meantime, I would suggest you see these posts:

Ravenvii addressed the issue of dead players posting in the last game. While he preferred that they didn't post strategically, he also didn't try to stop it.

<snipped for the sake of length, full post linked>

As I said above, ravenvii didn't stop it last game, so he would need to interject this game. That said I completely agree, I think he should be required to tone it down.

I completely missed that in the most recent rules. Thanks for posting it.

I then revise my request to ask that both Jav6454 and anjinhamarota please stop trying to strategically influence the game.

Here:

There were other posts in the last game, but none where people were directly trying to influence the outcome. Also, it is status quo that "zombies" may post, just like last game.

And again, I wasn't trying to influence the game like you stated. My reply to jav was simply because he was trying to get people suspicious of Don't Panic (i.e. Influencing the game, like you said people shouldn't do) for the simple fact that he was trying to post his opinion early, since he wouldn't be around for the voting.

I said it was status quo; not that I was ok with it, only that I couldn't personally do anything about it.

It is not my intention to keep running in circles. I just felt I deserved to be ableto set the record straight because you were stating that I singled you out when that simply isn't the case.

I have effectively showed that now, despite the fact that you insist otherwise, so I'll drop it.

Just pointing out how

you. can't. just. let. this. issue. drop.

despite you saying you would

Let's move on...seriously everyone and just agree that only CURRENT and NOT ELIMINATED players can speculate and connive against each other

I had dropped it right before your helpful contribution.
