Just Outside Fort Boise, Idaho
September 20, 1843

The party had dwindled to down to a bedraggled six. The last few weeks had been the roughest. Considering what they had survived up to that point, it was a testament to the unforgiving nature of the mountainous passes of Idaho. The wolves seemed to be as hungry as the Kirksvillians were. They had been attacked nightly since Snake River and had taken to sleeping in shifts. Losing that bundle of supplies during the fording of Snake River had hurt them terribly. There were no trading posts between the river and Fort Boise, and they had struggled to kill anything edible.

They chewed on bark to keep their stomachs from rumbling, their pace slow but determined. Fort Boise was only a few hours away, and it meant the chance to trade for the provisions that would see them through to Oregon.

As they traversed a rocky hill, Ezra Sheppard (imaketouchtheme) lost his footing and slipped. There was nothing to brace his fall but his own arm, and the travelers all heard the sickening snap as he landed. A bit of his bone had even broken the skin. He cradled his limb, moaning in pain.

“Blast it that hurts...”

Sympathy was at an all-time low for the group, but Telly (Pluto) offered his hand to help Ezra up. “Come on, we’re almost there.”

Ezra winced in pain. “Please, I just need to sit for a minute.”

Josiah (-aggie-), Oliver (TechGod), Nash (Koodauw), and Henry (Tomorrow) glanced between each other. How could he possibly want to delay their arrival at Fort Boise another moment? They were starving, and that hunger surely outranked the pain of a simple broken arm.

Oliver spoke what the rest of the group was thinking. “Come on, man, we have to keep moving. Surely you can push through the pain of your arm? We’re almost there, a good strong spirit will make you feel better.”

Ezra was suddenly angry. He had done everything they asked him to do - he had taken the worst chores without complaint, washing dishes and clothes, taken their ribbing because he was the youngest. Now, when he needed but a moment to collect himself, they refused him the courtesy?

“You know what? The lot of you can go rot. I’ll get to Oregon by myself. And good luck washing your own clothes and pots!”

He stomped angrily to the wagon, yanking his pack free with one arm and stuffing it with a share of the provisions. His pride let him ignore the searing pain in his arm and the folly of his decision. The rest of the group was far too tired and hungry to argue with him. If he wanted out, then they would be happy to oblige him.

imaketouchtheme was a loyal, and has exited the party.

It is now NIGHT FOUR. Specials, please PM me and rick your moves.

Fort Boise, Idaho
September 20, 1843
Night

When the remaining Kirksvillians finally crested the hills above Fort Boise, things suddenly looked even bleaker than before. The Fort was completely flooded through, and for the time being, utterly abandoned. The stalls used for trading were empty, and there was nary a scrap of food left behind. Even the birds had the good sense to move on to better prospects.

Oliver Tull sat on a rock, heavily. For the first time on this journey, he wondered if he would make it to Oregon. The hunger had sapped them all of their strength, and their hunts as of late had been exercises in futility. Even the berries Nash discovered earlier had proved to be poisonous.

Josiah (-aggie-) did his best to rally the party. "Let's hold fast. Surely there will be something past this fort. And the hunting will improve. We'll leave in the morning."

Nash, Telly, and Henry left to set up the tents. Oliver hadn't moved from his perch on a rock facing the hills. Josiah walked over to him and put a hand on his shoulder from behind.

"It will be o -"

As soon as Josiah touched Oliver's shoulder, his slumped body fell over on the rock. He had been stabbed in the temple with a nail from their wagon. Oliver's eyes were wide and vacant, with only a trickle of blood slid down his beard. It had been swift, at least. Josiah sighed. They still had not ferreted out the murderer amongst them. And they were running out of time.

TechGod has been murdered by traitors.

It is now DAY FIVE. The day will TOMORROW at 12:00PM PST or at majority lock.

I must have been a massive threat to the lone wolf:cool:

;)
I had an absolute blast QoS and Rick, really good narratives and I wouldn't mind another game;)

So it basically all comes down to this vote.

Yep.

I scanned SS last night and she was the alpha WW.

Is it possible to extend the vote until 12:00pm on Saturday ? I go out Friday nights after work and I'm usually not back till late.

I could vote now but I prefer not to be the first vote. With the majority lock, the WW could end this quickly.

Note - I'm leaning towards voting for Tomorrow.

Absolutely. rick and I are benevolent gods. :D

DAY FIVE will end at 12:00pm PST tomorrow.

You sound like a hunter lacking in confidence. I wonder why?

Tech gets whacked by the werewolf, you immediately pop in and say it's down to today's vote, when there's still three of us and only one traitor? Sounds to me like someone got infected, and your comment on today's vote has more to do with you looking forward to your victory than despair over losing a villager.

I still think aggie is innocent, although I'm a little less sure than i was. I thought about voting for Plutonius, but I'm going with Koodauw.

I am lacking confidence. I am torn between Tomorrow and Pluto.

Tomorrow keeps trying to read into things that aren't there.

Pluto did a really good job of laying out why he would be a bad target for infection.

Ill be annoyed if it actually is aggie and we had locked on him once.

I want to vote for pluto, but I feel we have such a strong bond killing the traitors together. Decisions decisions.

I'm waiting to hear aggie's opinion. I'll post a vote in the morning in any case.

I'm torn between Tomorrow and Koodauw. Leaning towards Tomorrow, due to that vote change stuff the other night. I just find it hard to believe he changed it that quickly and not knowing I would've been voted off on the majority. However, maybe he missed the fact that Rick and Queen stated that. I sure did. On the other hand, I haven't played in a very long time, so I didn't know they had gone to a majority vote rule. I have to admit I just glance over the narratives.

I won't be around at the deadline so here is my last thoughts.

I am not the wolf.

We all seem to think its tomorrow and someone else. I don't have a great reason to vote for tomorrow, other than he's still alive, and would be a good choice to infect. (But all of us would have been.) IT does say something that were suspicious of him though.

If I vote for tomorrow though and Pluto is the wolf, he can show up, vote and game over.

If I vote for Pluto, pluto and Aggie can still vote to get tomorrow.
or if aggie show up first and votes for pluto as well, as long as no other votes change, that would probably do it.

I know real life happens and you can't always vote when you want to, but it seems wanting to wait till later would be a wolf tactic.

May the force be with you.

You and Tomorrow are sure that aggie is not the WW so we will put it to the test. I will vote for Koodauw giving him two votes. If aggie is the WW, he just needs to vote for Koodauw to end the game. This will clear aggie or end the game

The problem with this is if tomorrow is the WW, you guys made it impossible to vote him off, unless I vote for him now and you change your vote immediately to tomorrow.

The fact that you didn't vote immediately to end the game, clears you.

I'll change my vote to whomever you pick.

Changing my vote to Tomorrow. I believe the deadline is 12:00pm pst and I'll be checking for post until then.

Note - I think the WW is Tomorrow because
1) Tomorrow started the vote against imaketouchtheme although he was not a major suspect (I know that aggie and I also voted for him).
2) The WW usually votes first at the endgame (huge advantage).
