Safari on Windows feels faster than both Firefox and IE, so perhaps the test scores that Steve showed were accurate.

No Leopard preview for anyone outside of WWDC??? So my $2500 a year developer subscription is worth crap right now. No way to develop for the new desktop. Real cute. That's what I get for being responsible and NOT taking off work and going to San Fran.

I'm with you on this.

Screw ADC..They get NO MORE of my money.

It would have been nice to see a new mac at the WWDC, but whatever. I am a bit disappointed that the features for Leopard were mostly rehashed from Macworld.

Front Row now looks like :apple: TV.

GO BROWSE THE NEW LEOPARD PAGES!

So much more than Steve said...really!

Safari is definately acting like a beta for me. Only been using it for 5 minutes and its already showing me the "Safari stopped responding" alert.

To me its not all that much faster than version 2.0 and some plugins have become void.

Switching back to version 2.0. Thank God i have Parallels, i can continue beta testing there.

BTW lackluster keynote but not bad. New site is ok but i dont like the dark homepage....hurtful to my vision

Was there really a point in making that an hour and a half long?

I'm pretty sure we saw maybe 4 things that had to do with Apple.

New desktop
New Finder
iPhone SDK

Everything else: We saw it last year.

Oh, and one more thing...

Safari for Windows! That was so stupid to make it a one more thing.

Great to hear the Finder has a consistent window look; but it sounds like the Leopard Finder UI is just copied from the iTunes 7 look'n'feel?

Icky. Puke. :(

A big let down for me. Am I in the minority? I don't think so. I have specific reasons....

October is a long time away (for me)...Leopard news is cool and all but not mind blowing.

I want/need a new Apple desktop and was hoping for an update to the current line.

iPhone? For many many many of us there is no way to get one on launch day or for a long time after that. Not living in the US and now being with the carrier (obviously) makes this product be a dream. It is cool to look at and will probably be drool worthy if I ever get to see one in person.....but until it gets opened up to more users and an affordable price I could care less.

iPod - I want a new one and frankly they need to be updated. I have money to spend on a new one but am holding back until I figure out when/if Apple will ever release a widescreen one. Yes to me video on my iPod is a big deal.

I voted to give this keynote a 1/5 on tuaw.

Once again these are my personal reasons for thinking todays keynote was a snooze fest.

First Safari crash in Windows - occurred when trying to visit this forum, no less. :p

you will get one sometime next month in imac form, from what appleinsider and thinksecret say. just not today.

After watching some of the new quicktime movies on Apple's site, I'm decently excited about Leopard. The Stacks feature is great, we can create App folder Stacks and never have to open up the hard drive in finder - or at least open it much less often!

Google Docs work in Safari Beta.....So when will vBulletin recognize it so we can use the WYSIWYG editor? :)

Great job on the live coverage MR guys.

From what I've read so far in this thread am I one of only a handful of people who actually thought this was a good keynote?? We all knew this keynote was about leopard and thats exactly what we got. Everything else was assumptions based on rumors "it" would be released/announced at this event.

yea it's cool and all but how many computers are going to respond postivily to all the animation features. My first gen macbook didn't display itunes coverflow seemlessly. i mean some of it seems like fluff anyway, i mean who 'needs' the reflection of the window on the dock?

i can't even get Safari 3.0 Beta to install on my new iMac C2D... apparently my computer doesn't "meet the requirements for this update"... eventhough i have like 100GB of free space... wft?

How do I know if I have the new version. I downloaded it but cannot tell if I have the latest version.
