i just old my old iphone 2g yesterday for 400$, is it a good price??
BTW is it 100% confirm that a new iphone will be announced on 8th june?

I am having sleepless nights hehehe

Who would buy (I assume a Gen 1 iPhone) for $400? or even a 3g for that matter? Unless you are not talking USD, could you send them my way, I have some lead I just spray painted gold that I would like to sell them

the only thing a Mac app store would do is severely cheapen all Mac applications. It would kill any independent developer who didn't want to use the store, and it would kill every developer using the store because they would have to slash prices down to nothing. I hope an App Store never comes to OS X.

Well Apple has a major problem on the horizon and that's Windows 7. I've been using it for about a month now in Bootcamp and it makes OS X look sick (in fact I'm posting this using it now with Firefox). It is fast, reliable, easy to use and works great. If Apple doesn't come out with Snow Leopard soon and if it isn't competitive with OS X in features and appearance, they've lost all the advantage they had over Vista. I also think the iPhone is last year's product, it's about run its gamut IMO. Making a big deal over cut and paste and even an improved camera is rather sad IMO. They need to come out with something big. If no new Mac hardware and if Snow Leopard is a disappointment (the features I've seen so far seem really boring) then Apple is going to be in for a hard time this Christmas with Win 7 selling like hotcakes. Whatever happened to the innovative Apple of a few years ago?

So, Windows 7 "works great" because it's "fast, reliable"... But Snow Leopard, which has speed and reliability as its main focus, is "really boring"?

Agree. These semantics are pointless: this is from the company that brought you the "funnest" iPod ever.

Given iPhone OS is the newest architecture with an expanding writer base it makes far more sense to focus on it. Besides, there's a hell of a lot of media interest too to capitalise on.

We've had recent Mac updates - underwhelming maybe - so why have more?

Well, in years past, apple has made a point to encode a teaser into their banners. (Macworld & WWDC)

I.E. "There is something in the Air" = Macbook Air

Pffft. iPhone iPhone iPhone..

I had 2G, I have 3G - jailbroke both of them so a lot of the news of new apps on the iPhone already seem out of date..

Besides, iPhone, like the iPod, is an accessory to me - I want to know what's happening with the MB's and MBP's. I hope they have something juicy at the WWDC and not dominated by iPhone apps or w/e

I'm sure it won't. The reason why the app-store works, is because it's so tightly bound to the iPhone platform. In addition the iPhone doesn't allow any other way of app installation (without jailbraiking).

Apple wouldn't be able to enforce that same restriction on OS X. Developers would run away, because a significant part of their proceeds would be gobbled up by Apple. In addition they would be forced to adhere to a number of content restrictions. If Apple would allow developers to also provide apps like they do know for OS X than the business case for these guys would be easy and quite clear.. Go independent. It would only be a succes for small-time developers that would benefit from the distribution platform.

I live in Denmark, i sold it for 2200 kroners DKK. So its aprox 410 or 420$.
I know that guy was mad hehe, i thought i wont get more then 250$, but i got 400$. So now i am only counting days for the new one to come:):apple:

Always. Define teaser.

They never put up banners that reveal ANYTHING prior to the keynote, but they've always had banners up in the past, and we've always analyzed them to fricking DEATH.

Fortunately, we can't do that this year.

A mean a commercial-like video detailing what's next.

i dont understand why everyone wants something new for macs??
Apple came out with new imacs, macbook and macbook pro for less then 7 months ago. and apple came out with ipod for 8-9 months ago. Now the only thing is remaining is the iphone. Let the WWDC dominate the iphone. Iphone rockssss:D

It takes all of ten minutes to jailbreak and you don't need any knowledge of computers to do it. The app store nearly killed the jailbreak community (have you noticed how long it takes to update jailbreaks?) With jailbroken apps there are little to no restrictions, the same way it would be in OS X, yet that's nearly dead. You're wrong. An OS X App Store would do nothing but harm. I can see an OS X Widget Store, but that's about as far as I think it should go.

I see a long keynote about how great the app store is and not a lot else. They'll give us some release dates, but there will be nothing groundbreaking this year (most likely). :(
