I don't understand. Wont the desktop be in 2880 1800 res? Can I play diablo at that high of a res or is there something im missing.

I didn't understand the resolution doubling of D3 either. Shouldn't the engine scale to whatever resolution we want? Or are they saying that the engine is rendering at 2880x1800 while displaying at 1440x900?

Overall, I thought the software demonstrated was really underwhelming. Obviously it's too early to say for sure until we get to play with iOS6 and ML, but I didn't find any of the improvements to be all that exciting

Take away the new maps features and basically you have the lamest WWDC of recent times.

VERY dissapointed with the lack of fundamental changes to iOS itself. Give the users what they really want, customization, widgets, freedom!!!

booo :(

A half inch icon is a half inch icon, no matter if it's 64x64 or 128x128. Even though the screen is crisper and clearer, you've still got the same interface space as a regular oldschool 15" Macbook Pro.

So if someone found Photoshop to be too cramped at 1440x900, they'll still find it cramped at 2880x1800. It'll just look prettier.

Rarely. The game needs to specifically support whatever resolution you are trying to use.

Yes, Diablo 3 has been updated for Retina, and with that GPU you should be able to play fine, maybe not with AA, but who needs it at that res?

I have a question, I don't remember last WWDC, do they only do keynotes and announcements on the first day? so there's no chance for iMac or Mac Pro updates later this week?

Apple Maps! Looks like I've finally got access to something as good as Google Maps on Android now!

As good? No street-view, seemingly poor reviews integration (perhaps better than they showed), no offers integration, and it isn't clear how well the traffic integration will work. It is definitely a good first step, but it definitely doesn't look as good as Google Maps for Android just yet.

Well my CC is still in my wallet. Nothing announced today that i feel like buying.

Hopefully you can turn off the traffic crowd-sourcing from your own phone, if you're low on data plan left for the month.

Agreed... purely speaking for privacy concerns, they BETTER provide opt-out options, or frankly, I will NOT upgrade my 4S.

No MBP 17", no iMac, no Mac Pro...

Apple should already know, bigger is better ;)

But seriously, I need a new iMac. Like now...

Clearly there were some things unsaid, but I agree with this. I'm not even that interested in iOS 6. Navigation is nice, but it has been done.

And Mountain Lion appears to be more like a service pack.

I think the 3D view depending on how they are doing it may very well be a decent replacement for street view (depending on if they just model the buildings or actually get photo realistic skins for the buildings).

True, but it's a helluva lot closer than what it has been. And it's lightyears beyond what we've currently got on iOS.

In big cities, yeah. But out in backwoods country? Right now they can't match Google on that front. I've seen Street View take panoramic shots down weird dirt roads no one in their right mind would normally travel down. It's great for finding weird stuff out in the middle of nowhere.
