Even though I am excited for Snow Leopard, I think I'm actually a little more excited for iPhone OS 3.0 :D

Can't wait to upgrade the OS on my new MacBook Pro and my iPhone 3G around that time :)

Oh, and lets see Final Cut Studio 3 Apple!

Snow leopard at WWDC? No. A potential release date? Maybe.

My prediction: an announcement for a "October" release date for SL that will get pushed back til sometime in 2010. :(

I'd love to see the return of SJ At WWDC

Looking forward to SL. If it's released in june, I will buy a 13" unibody macbook, if it's not I will probably wait for the fall laptop revision. Does apple have an upgrade policy for purchases made less than X amount of time before the release? (i.e. like MS')

I'm not upgrading to the new iphone, but 3.0 (likely?) will be great.
Cinema displays are long due for an update as well

Here is my prediction for WWDC 09' in June: Steve Jobs returns, but makes his appearance using the first ichat video via the new iphone! Steve takes the stage and showcases Snow Leopard along with iphone 3.0!

Maybe the general public will finally get a good look at what's coming in Snow Leopard. I couldn't believe nothing was said at MacWorld.

I don't really have any complaints with Leopard but what features I have seen with Snow Leopard make me interested. I'm always interested in optimized OSes and that's what's touted for SL.

I'm running the developer build on my developer build and the performance increase is insane. Just wait until you try iy you will want to spend the 150.

Will snow leopard bring performance/speed upgrades and multi-core support for the 32 bit core duo processors? as in those on the 1st gen intel macs?

Is it going to run on Core Duo systems? Probably yes. Are you going to see performance gains? Probably no. Real performance gains will be seen on 64-bit systems, especially those with 4 or 8 or more cores.

I thought it very ballsy and innovative for Apple to spend a year of development on performance and not features (ie, Leopard to Snow Leopard).

I'd really like to see more companies focus on such things, and I'd really like to reward Apple for their efforts by upgrading. However, if I'm being totally honest, I have to say that Leopard runs awesome on my MacBook. It will be hard to justify $150 (CAD) upgrade when everything is already running great.

How, it wouldn't take much of a feature to make me upgrade but I think they have to give me something more that just a performance hike. Even just a sexy new look and feel would probably do the trick for me.

I might pay for a good performance hike... except I'm still only on PPC, and I'm not going to pay for an entirely new computer. I'll probably end up skipping Snow Leopard entirely, and getting new hardware after 10.7 comes out (around the beginning of 2011, perhaps). Unless Apple come out with a netbook-type thing before then (yes, I want something lighter than an Air), that might get me to buy new hardware.

I really hope Snow Leopard gets released no later than WWDC. It will be the most exciting product release by Apple in 2009, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm going on the basis of recent events and not getting excited about this one at all....

The next iPhone

One of my teachers at school was telling me that his girlfriend works for a company who make phone camera parts. Apparently, they have had an orde from apple for millions of parts for the end of may

and no more specific info.

I dont want SL to come out. The longer it takes, the better the OS will be. But if they do come out of it. Its going to be so great

How will I, as an ordinary user, benefit is my question?

I'm not negative on SL at all of course. Just want to know how it matters to the average Mac user given the current OS seems very nice to me...

Yeah like if Microsoft actually tried instead of spewing a bunch of incoherent crap like usual. I remember when they pushed vista back for "quality control purposes..." If that was the reason we would never get anything from them.

i predict that rumors will flare about ideas that would never happen!!!

and then the big event... and all Apple will release is

iLife: June: 2009

Apple will want to announce the third version of the iPhone before June 29th, as that's when the first batch of iPhone owners' two-year contracts with AT&T run out.

This theory is turning a little stale don't you think?

I thought the same for a while but out and about, mostly all I see is iPhone 3G's and the occasional V.1 iPhone.

I'm thinking there aren't as many V.1 owners as some people here think. Most upgraded from the first one and anyone buying since last July has a 3G iPhone unless they snagged a first gen offline or something.

But anyways, I'm really hoping for a new iPhone to be announced at WWDC! Can't wait! :D
