Or that Samsung semiconductor has reached peak sales? Meaning decline in profit for Samsung semiconductor from here on out?

they could post record profits or record losses, either would matter to me. the only thing i care about is a phone that can do MUCH more than an iphone and lasts just as long.

the only person that brought up profits was an apple fan who could no longer argue that ios was better than android, so somehow how much the companies made was what they turned to lol. kind of like your go to response when i ask if your iphone can do something.

I see, posting financials from a year ago is ok.
But after three consecutive quarters of declining profit this year at Samsung mobile and suddenly you don’t care.

LOL people like that are the best type to mess with. It's easy to rile them up. It's tough for them to accept a cheaper less powerful phone can do more.

So what if it can “do more”? Isn’t it all down to what the user actually wants to use it for ? My iPhone does everything I want it to. Doesn’t it also have the best mobile display currently on the market too? Also it’s the most powerful smartphone on the market to date ?

I don’t get all this arguing. You’re happy with your device, and we’re happy with ours.

If a lower resolution screen with lower ppi with lower max brightness and crappy pwn tech is your definition of best screen then sure....

Next thing you'll tell me is the xr screen is just as good as the XS screen.

None of those stats matter when it’s been tested and proven to be the best on the market. Google it.

I just don’t understand why people are arguing. They both have their merits and drawbacks.

I believe it can do less than an iPhone.

Can’t do iMessage, FaceTime, iCloud and icloud copy and paste, can’t be used with an Apple Watch or Apple TV. Forget about HomeKit, continuity, handoff, airdrop, AirPlay, or any of the other apple protocols. Doesn’t do 4K at 60fps as some users have reported let alone for more than 5 Minutes. No 3d facial recognition or Dolby vision. Oh wait it has a stylus, glare and false touches from the curved display that makes it all better.

In actuality the note 9 can’t do much at all.

But you enjoy split screen, numbers over the keyboard, and scrolling screenshots.

And apple users will enjoy the rest

Imessage is the same as what's app.
FaceTime. Is the same as Duo except way worse images.
Icloud is just Google drive.
Amazon TV is 4k with Dolby just cheaper than Apple TV.
IPhone can't record super slow mo.
Note 9 can definitely record in 4k and has better image stabilization.
IPhone doesn't have Dolby atmost.

We can go back and forth all day but the reality is, anything you can do on an iPhone can be done on Android but not vice versa. That's probably why the federal government uses it lol

The iPhone categorically preforms functions and features beyond the 9 and at a higher price sells a lot more than Samsung ever could with the note 9.

There is no going back and forth. None of those options work the way apples solution does across the ecosystem and devices. For you to even suggest these inferior alternatives and I’m understating inferior are comparable to what apple offers proves to everyone you have absolutely no idea what you are taking about.

Honestly when was the last time you used an iPhone wilts any of the features I listed?

Because if you haven’t you won’t understand.

Enjoy your stylus apple users will enjoy everything else apple affords them within their ecosystem.

If you cheap out ona device you will cheap out on features.

OK explain how Imessage is superior to whatsapp? One can work with every single phone in the world. The other works ONLY with Apple phones. Sooo.....

Same with FaceTime. Explain how Duo is inferior in any way?

The last iPhone I had was the x.

And yeah it only works between iPhones. Can you send full rez videos/images to someone that isn't on ios via imessage? Didn't think so. Whatsapp can.

Same with FaceTime. Can you FaceTime anyone that doesn't have an iPhone? Hmmmm extremely limiting isn't it?

They simply DGAF about anyone and this little meeting wont change a dang thing as to how they operate as they make their money off selling your data and ads; they make $0 on Android itself since its given out free.

haha, well, from my own experience since I've owned both phones, my iPhone Max clearly beats my Note 9 by huge margin on battery life and performance. My Max is around 70% by the late evening where my Note 9 was always around 30%. Same usage. Sorry, but maybe under continuous use the Note 9 is marginally better, but the standby when not using it on the iPhone is what kills the Note 9 which would drain your battery just sitting there doing nothing.

My father works in DC high up in a federal agency (top level just under the head) and is only one of a few in his whole agency that uses Android. They can choose Android or iOS; from what I know of it's only Samsung Galaxy and the "newest" they give out is the S7. Biometrics are completely disabled and you must use a complex rolling alphanumeric password as biometrics are too insecure a login method or the government and you could be forced by foreign players to unlock your device with a fingerprint or face and get government systems access.

But Android is generally "poopooed" in the federal government and the vast minority of devices. Androids are overall harder for their IT department to device manage, and do not get security updates which is deemed a general security risk (have to use Knox, because the NSA developed it, to do anything as Android is not secure enough itself to gain approval in top secret clearance environments). And no one in IT wants anyone sideloading stuff which is the biggest security hole in Android. iOS can go right in as is into any security clearance situation, no limits it's deemed secure; that says it all in itself.

It has nothing to do with what the OS can do or a US vs. foreign company. The only Androids banned are ones with (alleged) ties to the Chinses government like Huawei and others who have been caught with spyware on their devices. Those are all just excuses.

It's definitely not a money thing; every department has to spend their whole budget every year or they dont get increases (dumbest thing I've ever heard) so they blow money on stupid crap to hit their budget. I always ask my dad why he doesnt have a case on his glass back S7 and the answer is if it breaks they hand you a new one. So while they aren't giving out newest gen devices (I'm sure they extensively test before going out to thousands them is mostly why they are a gen or 2 old) they aren't pinching pennies either saving $100 on a phone

Dont bother feeding the troll. Someone needs to get outa mom's basement and get a gf or hobby instead of trolling MR all day long; that's one hella waste of time.

Sales do not always mean its a better product. The iPhone is the single best selling phone in the world.
I use them...I have had everyone since the first iPhone and love my Xs Max.

There are other great phones out there that do not match the iPhone in sales......that doesn't mean they are not great phones.

Where are the new iphones on sale already? I have yet to see any Xs or Max on sale.
 
Dont trust displaymate even when note 9 was awarded it the best display ever cause im sure displaymate just get pay buy apple and samsung.


Isnt it weird to u that displaymate only review iphones and galaxy phones (mobiles screen). We have hundreds or android phones with oled screen but no... displaymate only decide to test iphone and samsung in the mobile department.


Now we know iphone xs uses samsung oled, note 9 uses their oled... hundreds of android phone uses samsung oled. The award are base who has better calibration. knowing that 95% of oled are from samsung. Why only have those 2 phones and give the award to their newest flagship.

Last best screen ever award are.... note 8, iphone x, galaxy s9, note 9, now iphone xs. Next award will be S10.


Dxomark is the same. Still giving best photo award to all the news phone while pixel 2xlnis around number 7 in the list and Still the best phone camera yet.
