iPhone XS Max XS max vs note 9

well according to users on this very forum the screen looks like crap. and they aren't paid to flip on the "best display" after every release

a stylus is 50 bucks. how much does it cost to replace your crap antenna? oh right, 1500 LOL

Yes the crap screens are indeed manufactured by Samsung, but display mate rates the crap screen higher than the note 9.

So by your logic the note 9s screen is below crap.

Yes it sounds like you had to pay 50 dollars for a plastic stylus when it broke. And when that breaks you can spend another 50 dollars on a plastic stylus.

i can buy 2 note 9's for the price of one ipod? wow that's a SWEET deal

Yea and in three months you should be able to buy 4 note 9s for the price of one iPod.

That’s the principle of diminishing value as a samung user you should not only be aware but used to that.

Hope you didn’t pay full price for your note 9.

Not according to display mate. According to display mate iPhone X’s max > note 9.

But your correct Samsung manufactures both screens.

Hope you didn’t pay full price for your note 9.
It’s not worth much especially after the stylus breaks.

Not true. That's according to you reading with your apple glasses.
This is displaymate rating. Both got A+ rating. Why didnt DisplayMate put something below the rating like what it did with Note9 "Best Performing Most Accurate...". Most probably Displaymate has nothing more to say it :p

Sometimes I absolutely wish I wasn’t a nerd on a tech forum where folks argue nonstop over the most neglible of differences that 99.9% of the world couldn’t care less about.

I can be selective as well.

i mean most people buy phones to use, not to sell so if i can buy a phone that is far superior in terms of productivity more than half of 1500? thats what you call a great freaking deal.

i LOVE how you think the more expensive a product is to buy, the better it is for you hahahaah

sure if a single website is all you will follow on "best screen". not the thousands of paid users here that say differently....

yeah IF my stylus breaks, i can go online and order one.

how are you gonna exchange your ipod? drive all the way to the apple store? lol

So your claiming users are paid to say differently, do you mean argue against display mate?

Are you one these paid users?
That would make a lot Sense.

what? i know you're flustered with the 1500 ipod comments so let me break it down for you.

i'd rather believe the thousands of users on this forum that actually PAID for their phone on the issues they are having with the display.

or you can believe displaymate which flip flop between samsung and apple every single release.....

Not if you break your plastic stylus 4 times than it becomes more expensive as whole.

That’s cool.
You actually started to admit the note 9 is the cheaper product.

Hope you didn’t pay full price for yours.

Yes Samsung displays do have issues.
I concur wholeheartedly.

There is only ONE final OVERALL RATING table. Isnt that what everyone is interested? I am not being selective.

The "Adaptive Mode" which Displaymate has said it was intentional to be vivid. If you dont like this mode, there are 2 others to choose from.

Well so you admit the iPhone X’s max display surpasses the note 9 in one final overall rating table.

So you admit the iPhone X’s is brighter than the note 9.

That wasn’t so hard was it .

and apple keeps buying them. what a bunch of suckers. and charging 1500 for it....

Sure just like note 9 customers keep buying a plastic stylus for 50 dollars. Im sure samsung thinks the same thing about its users.

Enjoy your note 9

Nope. I didnt say that. You made this up :p

Both Note9 and XS Max got A+ rating. But Note9 has additional accolade "Best Performing Most Accurate..."
Sorry, XS Max has none.

I bought the Samsung Galaxy S9 in May and by September I was yearning to go back to my Iphone 8(reg. size).
As a Realtor, the talk, text, and email are super important for me throughout the day, and IOS is just a little bit better FOR ME than Android.
The S9 is an AMAZING smartphone and has lots of advantages. But I also didn't like the battery life. While it can charge up fast, the battery does not last as long as my Iphone 8. I also missed the APPS on IOS.
The bloatware on the S9 was a little frustrating as well.
Samsung Galaxy S9 = Corvette (lots of bells and whistles and horsepower; great in the straight away)
Iphone 8 = Porsche 911 (classically beautiful and grips the road better in the turns; faster in the back roads)

The last iPhone I had was the x.

And yeah it only works between iPhones. Can you send full rez videos/images to someone that isn't on ios via imessage? Didn't think so. Whatsapp can.

Same with FaceTime. Can you FaceTime anyone that doesn't have an iPhone? Hmmmm extremely limiting isn't it?
First of all you’ve never owned an iPhone X, if you had you’d have never purchased a Note 9. Also most iPhone users don’t need WhatsApp because there’s 80 million iOS users US and there’s a pretty good chance we’re already communicating with another iOS user. Secondly, WhatsApp is available for iOS just like your Android. You keep bringing up these things the Note 9 does but Samsung isn’t responsible for any of them.
Let’s face it, your a troll and you’ve been exposed as one. Your just here to argue just so you can get a rise and your Schtick is becoming old.

except no one gets headaches on the note. apple needs to learn how to calibrate better. just horrible.

inferior hardware all around. can't even complete a phone call without dropping signal. yikes....
[doublepost=1538615367][/doublepost]just change the name to ipod xs maximum pro already lol
Did somebody say exploding batteries? Your too easy schmuck.

what exploding battery? my note 9's battery lasts longer than the 1500 ipod. doesn't look like piss either lol

Well I mean ask the federal government why they'd rather use a foreign phone over the iPhone? Lol

Imessage is the same as what's app.
FaceTime. Is the same as Duo except way worse images.
Icloud is just Google drive.
Amazon TV is 4k with Dolby just cheaper than Apple TV.
IPhone can't record super slow mo.
Note 9 can definitely record in 4k and has better image stabilization.
IPhone doesn't have Dolby atmost.

We can go back and forth all day but the reality is, anything you can do on an iPhone can be done on Android but not vice versa. That's probably why the federal government uses it lol
Can you use google drive to back up your phone/tablet wirelessly? I didn’t know it could do that.

I don’t think government employees are doing any complex tasks on their phone. Probably just basic things like email, texts and calls.

What’sapp can be used cross platform but it doesn’t send full resolution images.

lol how did i guess you would suddenly start adding on exceptions? yeah this is definitely gonna lead all the way to me showing you a receipt.

its ok that the note is the superior device. hell even a flip phone at this point is the superior phone until apple fixes the constant loss of signal. just use your 1500 ipod to listen to music for now ;)
I’m not having a loss of signal on my max. I can make calls and use WiFi and LTE just fine.

I’m glad you like your note 9. It’s a great device. Why not enjoy using it instead of coming in here and trashing another phone. They are both great phones. The note can do things the iPhone can’t and the iPhone can do things the note can’t. Either way whichever one you own you have a very powerful device.

yes you can back up your entire phone wirelessly. settings, texts, choose which apps and app data to back up. google provides this service. samsung also has their own back up service. both also provide find my phone services.

whatsapp absolutely does send the full resolution media. at least on android you can. not sure about ios.

I know Samsung provide a backup service. I used it when it first launched with the S7 edge and it seemed to be ok. However when I had the S9 plus a few months ago it wouldn’t back up. It said I had run out of space. It had one 4.7 GB back up of my old note 8 on there, nothing else was showing. I was supposed to get 15GB of space for free. I tried to delete the old note 8 backup and I couldn’t. Then I tried to purchase more storage and it was greyed out.

If the note 9 had a msrp of $750, what would the detractors say? If the iPhone xr was in direct competition with it price wise, would anyone still say the xr was the better phone?
