Im pretty sure anyone who visits MR in the "techy" crowd is already aware what Android can do. I dont go over to Android Central forums and start trying to convince people how good iOS is. I have far better things to do with my time; and makes you question motives doing that other than simply trolling.

No one here wants to be convinced; we're already iOS users currently or wouldnt be here to begin with. If I wanted to be convinced Id go read an Android-centric site or any of the better resources to get opinions on the Note and Android like real tech reviews and head-to-heads than one anonymous person's opinion.

The correct answer is if they like their Note then keep it; godspeed. But it comes off as simply trolling to take time out to post that on Apple sites (what other answer is expected?), especially when every post by that user is anti-Apple. No one wants to be annoyed hearing over and over how their decision sucks, Apple sucks, isheep, -gate this and that, etc etc etc.

I visit BOTH forums and see these type of post in both Android and iOS forums. There are post like these from non-troll people. Simply, I don't think this person is trolling. I don't like when people trashes either Android or iOS.

I switched to Samsung 2 years ago and couldn't be happier. Imessage is about the only thing I miss, everything else is much better on Android. Google assistant vs Siri and integration with google maps. Android Auto over Carplay, faster wireless charging, better screens in my opinion, bigger batteries, samsung pay is amazing. Apple just hasn't been as innovative as they had been long ago, so being locked into that ecosystem isn't desirable or worth it anymore unless the tech is great, today it just isn't..

I returned my Note 9 for the XS Max. The battery on my Note 9 was really poor, and I just think the iPhone is a better built device.

The note 9 has a 1000 Mah bigger battery than the XSmax.. No way it outlasts the note..

Its 826mah difference. And sure, in a vacuum where you completely negate power draw levels by the display, RAM, CPU and OS differences with background tasks etc. and just look at capacity numbers  That's nowhere near real world though.

Numerous battery tests so far have found the Max and Note 9 are close in actual usage within a margin of error. NONE have found the exact name numbers or unanimous across tests that one is better than the other; thus showing that conditions can vary greatly and they are similar.

I am such a sucker for these *deals* or non-deals.:oops::oops::oops::oops: I got my Max also BOGO $700. It is not even BOGO Free but I did get another max 256 gold for my mother. I will cancel my number to switch to the new line / number.:oops::oops::oops::oops:
Pretty sure if its vzw and you cancel the line you’re still liable. No way the carrier is not getting their money after a bogo.

It maybe 1000 mah bigger, but it doesn't last near as long as the XS MAX. I own both and the Note is at 30% end of day and the Max at 70% with the same usage from 6am to 8pm. MAH doesn't mean anything if the O/S isn't optimized well.

I don't agree about within a margin of error. I get several hours more on the max over the note 9.

Very true....but if you were going to do that anyway...all you pay for is the service and not the device.
Right, if you were going to do it anyway, but most that do not have multiple lines aren't going to do that.

Correct. If you cancel the line before the 2 years is up, you are liable for the full price of the device. It's in Verizon, AT&T, etc contract you sign.

Oh I believe the Max has better battery life than the Note 9 because of OS optimizations.

I just meant that could explain why some tests show the Note slightly ahead and some show the Max quite a bit ahead. There are way too many of variables going on to explain those small difference. Even if you did the same test 50 times it would not come out the exact same to the minute and second.

But I've seen no tests where the Note 9 just flat out crushes the Max by any significant margin worth noting. Ive seen quite a few the Max lasting a good hour longer.

There are a couple of tests that have the iPhone X’s on par with the note 9 in battery life. Again that is the iPhone X’s and not the max.

Anybody know where i could get a free tv with an iPhone X’s?

Best Buy’s latest Samsung deal gives you a free TV when you buy a Galaxy Note 9

Guess galaxy note 9 sales have cratered in the us as well as the rest of the world.

In terms of day to day use, note 9 is much better than xs max in speed of opening common daily apps. It doesn't seem xs max has shown any improvement over x even though CPU speed has improved. The faster CPU of the iPhone (x or xs) doesn't do anything to performance. Strange.

Since I never close the commonly used apps unless I have to restart my phone, this would only cost me a few seconds a month at most. I'll stick with my X and let you use the inferior junk.

That's your personal opinion :p

In the real world, the much hyped a12 can't even power the sluggish iOS.

Please actually use the Max before raise ideas instead of watching video and say blah blah blah
Video is for reference, not accuarate 100%
Many of us here abbadon Android because of their daily use.
And one thing A12 can make it run, I think it’s your brain

Video allows you to see reality instead of some of the rants we see posted here.

At least in this aspect (opening most daily used apps), XS max is clearly behind note 9. :)

Congrats, all whopping 1.38 million poeple who bought one in the first MONTH will rejoice. "Hana Financial Investment estimated the shipment of the Galaxy Note 9 came to 1.38 million units in the first month, which is roughly 65 percent of the tally for the previous year's Note 8 phablet."

Im pretty sure Apple had more pre-orders in the first few hours. "Rosenblatt Securities analyst Jun Zhang estimates Apple received about 10 million preorders for iPhone XS series handsets in the first three days."

Numbers talk and BS walks.

Would never ever consider a phone with a curved edge display that distorts the image. It's a stupid gimmick Samsung needs to do away with. And polls show over 90% of Android fans on those types of sites dislike/hate it or "meh" about it too; 20.45% like it. At least the notch you can get the content to avoid that; can't avoid the distortion on 2 sides of the pone.

Oh yes, so you believe in "reality" in an editted video, so nice, no wonder why :)
I do have a Note 9 myself, I believe in what I do everyday :)

I stopped by my local BB the other night and played with the Note 9 and was pleasantly surprised. I really liked the design and the screen was gorgeous. I’d love to try it but I just don’t think I could leave iTunes, iPhoto or iMessage. I’ve had my 6s plus for 3 years now and it’s been perfect. I’m not sure an Android device could do the same.

6s is from.. 2015? Imagine if you compare the newest iPhones with it. :p

This was an (illegal) stream from reddit, so not easily restarted if I was to exit. A buddy asked me if the Packers were winning

What... Why would your stream exit if you left the app? Multi-tasking also means you can switch apps without the previous app closing unless you are going to tell me a video player app cant multitask?

Useful things that you couldn't do on iphone xs max which costs 2.5 times more than note9 (on contract)

Yeah, someone told me I can draw a triangle or a perfect circle on my phone if I use Spen and Note 9
I never need to draw anything of that on my screen for about 15 years I use cellphone.....
So it's useless to me :)
