don't forget that you will still need to pay for iCloud subscription with the iPhone XS Max because it only comes with unacceptable 64GB storage

I like iOS. I like MacOS. I don't like Android. I don't like Google. I've liked every iPhone since the 3GS. I really like my XS Max.
I don't care about intricate comparisons between phones and their megapixels and flip-flops and whatnot.
Why can't people just be happy with their phone and not start the "my phone choice is better than your phone choice" argument again and again?
Maybe they're not really happy with their phone?

Ha you can’t forget that. People seem to be offended when someone say they don’t like what they like. But when you run into real tech people purist they can admit that each side have things they like and don’t like and leave at that. Me personally I like how apple does a lot of things and I like how android does a lot of things.
As far as google they want way to much info. For instance just to damn turn on geo tag on camera they want to trace your very damn move. Smh. Google can’t figure out their messaging app to compete with iMessage. And they leave you high and dry to depend on third party apps to backup your phone data. Please don’t state that they have an system in place

I can't figure out why google wouldn't just buy whatsapp and call it a day.

I tried Android back with a Galaxy S5. And I'm not opposed to how it theoretically works; the openness.

I am opposed to as you point out my data collected without my knowledge. I'm opposed to third party apps doing what they want in the background. Im opposed having 2 of every app on the phone because Google/manufactures cant get their crap together.

And I'm opposed to Google's apparent backdoor into Android 9.0 shown by their "adjusting" users' settings without their knowledge or consent. https://www.businessinsider.com/goo...attery-settings-on-some-android-phones-2018-9 That is the creepiest of all that they can come in whenever they want and god knows what level of access to everything on your device at an OS level.

So no matter how "good" a new Android phone hardware looks, it will not cure the Google problem.

Then don't use any phone. Many apps in both OSes collect info whether you like or not.
You are not immune even if you are on iphone.

This research shows how much data is collected on iphone compared to android. You can see that amount collected from Iphone is very substantial even if you avoid using any google products. And this is just data collected by Google/Apple only.

As opposed to Apple built-in performance throttling (which is hidden from you) to slow your "older" phone down so you upgrade?

20 vs 90 is a HUGE difference. Im not concerned if Apple knows what apps I downloaded from their own store (clearly they would) or traffic data in anonymous ways.

Large difference then the crap Android gets away with by the graphs with location and ads making up 56-89% of the requests.

Apple doesnt slow down anything to make you from upgrading, stop the FUD already. Supporting the 5S from 2013 with iOS12 directly contradicts that theory; is there even one 2016 Android phone getting updated to the 2018 OS?

I guess Android manufactures deliberately force you to upgrade by not supporting OS updates more than 1-2 years then.

Go troll elsewhere.

You didnt see the part where Google collected 50 from iphone?

Of course, only after Apple got caught doing it.

COLLECTED BY GOOGLE using CHROME BROWSER; last few words of #58 and right next to the dang chart. Are you that dense you can't even bother to read what you posted as your "evidence?"

Wow. Android fanbois are getting really desperate to discredit Apple with a laughable argument that Apple's privacy is in the same ballpark as bad as Google's.

At least Apple doesn't back door remotely into your phone without your knowledge or permission https://www.businessinsider.com/goo...attery-settings-on-some-android-phones-2018-9

Dont bother replying wont wasting my time further as your intentions are clear.

I personally would rather have apples built in power management than my android phone shutting down in an emergency.

Apple doesn’t have built in performance throttling. It was due to the batteries not being able to handle the load when they were worn out. A new ($39) battery solved it. I’m a HUGE android fan, but you need to be real here. Most phones will need a new battery within 24 months to maybe 36 months. Apple was dishonest about what they were doing, but it is fixed now and a phone like the 7+ or 8+ can be used for another 3 years. Android phone performance and resale value absolutely tanks within 12 months or so.

That phrase is for Android phones. Chrome is the default browser and built in to Android so you cannot omit that. On Iphone, the test was done on default Iphone browser.

If you read further down it said "...thereafter, any direct interactions with Google products were omitted from profile.." . So even if Chrome is used in Iphone whatever that was sent by Chrome is omitted.

Obviously the researcher is not as naive to purposely introduce Chrome in Iphone when their objective is to find out how much data was sent even when you are not using google products.

You are so sure?

From what I read Apple can remotely disable your phone

You also have to be a bit skeptical about reason given. People been complaining about slower phones for ages and Apple came out to say they dont slow phone down until they were caught red-handed. Those updates were not just slowing down 24-36 months old phone but phone just one generation before,

Android phone performance and resale value absolutely tanks within 12 months or so.

I bought my Note9 512gb at $450 on contract plan whereas Max 512gb costs $1100 on same plan. Even if I lose 50% resale value I wouldnt be much worse off comparing if Max loses 25% resale value .

impossible to have a conversation with a topic like "XS Max vs Note 9" while staying on topic without people getting emotionally charged, for some unknown reason like it affects them in any way..

But watching the debate unfold from the outside, the iPhone camp always appears to be ignorant. Where as the android camp seems to always sound like that kid in school wearing Fila's shoes arguing why it's better than the Nike's that everyone else is wearing.

how can you perform if the phone dies almost an hour before the note?? lol

btw whats the point of such a high geek bench score if apple doesn't even apply it? Can any iPhone do this? I'll wait.

Face it, your stuck with just another run of the mill android turd that’s not up to the task and will need to be replace in a few short years when it’s no longer software supported. It hurts doesn’t it?

That’s all you got? A few measly minutes of STATED battery and you completely dismiss getting smoked on Geekbench!
Just when I think you Android puds couldn’t get any dumber another one crawls out of the hole.

I thought 85% of the world wear "fila" and only 15% wear "nike" :)

Batteries pretty good too. Hasn't exploded yet. Thanks for asking.

Very strange that XS Max with such powerful processor still slow compared to Note9 in terms of opening app time.

From what I know, android app opened in VM which should be slower compared to iOS native system. Somehow Note 9 (with handicaps like android VM and slower CPU benchmark) outperform XS Max in this aspect. Thumbs down to XS Max. Apple needs to up their game.
