I wasn't 100% convinced that my screen was actually yellow and not just warm until today. I used a co-worker's 7+ and his screen looked like mine does with color tint accessibility settings on. It wasn't perfect, definitely warmer, but definitely not yellow. I will be returning mine and if it's not right I'll just go back to the 6s+.

This is my iPhone 5S (left) compared to my iPhone 7 (right). Both at maximum brightness and auto brightness off. Picture taken with my D500 in RAW format. A WhiBal gray card is included to set the appropriate white balance in Lightroom. I measured both screens with my ColorMunki Photo and Argyll. The result was 7686K for iPhone 5 vs 6945K for iPhone 7, both higher than the expected D75 and D65 calibrations.

Next I tried to increase the color temperature of the iPhone 7 to match the iPhone 5S using the color tint correction. I managed to get 7607K with this setting

And this is what the corrected iPhone 7 looks vs the iPhone 5C. Not much of a difference compared to the uncorrected one.

Those are two great looking screens

After using the phone for a week. For some reason I feel my display have gotten less warmer and brighter. I don't know it might just be me getting used to the display. I compared it today with the 6s, although still warmer but not that big of a difference in tone and brightness. Give it a week for those that are in the fence of returning or swapping it as long you are within your 14 days window.

Alright I just went to the Apple Store and Best Buy and compared my 7plus to 4 different other screens. All looked exactly the same lol. Yet when I upload my picture on here some think it's a tad yellow towards the bottom from the picture taken from a 6s plus.

Which in fairness doesn't do the best job to display what I see with my eyes in real time. I don't find me screen yellow at all either, I'm pretty picky as well. He whites are a bit warmer compared to my 6splus was, but that's to be expected with the new wider color gamut. I think I may stick with mine as I could exchange it and get a really bad one. I also have apple care so down line when these phones mature exchange it after the kinks will be worked out via apple.

Here's mine I compared to 3 other 7 plus ones in apple and 2 in Best Buy and all looked identical. Taking the picture with my fiancée 6s plus which makes it still seem much warmer in picture compared to what my eyes see. I just can't get the 6s plus camera to capture it close to what my eyes see. Lights on in the room or off. Looking at these pictures I took with her phone it does make it seem pretty warm, but it's cooler for sure it real time/life.

My eyes say its not yellow lol. This is becoming funny and at the same time interesting. The funniest thing is via "these pictures" uses where it's off towards the bottom. However on my phone with my eyes on the settings screen it looks totally fine :/.Everyone will say its yellow, i give up lol.

My phone is also a little less warm or yellow after 5 days of ownership. I know there are naysayers about the whole curing process with the screen adhesive but I can see it with my own eyes. If you phone looks yellow, in my opinion, give it a week before you return it.

Looks pretty dingy towards the bottom

I absolutely see it in the picture lol. But on my phone it seriously looks almost nothing like that. It looks way more uniform. I even asked two best buy employees i know from going in to look at mine compared to the demo units. And compared with all the store models at apple and they were identical. But from the picture i upload via a 6s plus its looks dingy towards the bottom for sure. I wish i had a high end camera to test to see if it photos the same way.

Via the picture yes, In real life it looks nothing close to that its almost frustrating me i cant get a accurate photo. I cannot get the 6s plus to photo what i see. I am going to try in a different room with cooler lighting. That picture i uploaded looks almost nothing like what i see in real life. Its very weird.

Here's another picture closer right up against the phone.

If reference to my screen becoming less yellow.

1st pic 2 days of ownership

2nd pic 5 days of ownership

Both compared to my 6 Plus with the 7 on the right. Not great pics but you can see what I am saying. I'm telling you, if you just got the phone give it at least a week and see if it changes.

You could try to adjust the white balance with an app like Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for iPhone that allows to do the adjustment based on a sample from a neutral object in the picture. The ideal neutral object is a gray card but if you don't have one you can use anything that looks neutral or even white paper and check that the adjusted image matches what you're seeing.

If this is true, why doesnt Apple just keep them in storage for a week before shipping?

Okay so you guys are gonna think I'm crazy....but after updating my phone to iOS 10.0.2 I noticed my screen was brighter and not as "yellow". It wasn't horrible before, but compared to my daughter 6s, it looked much warmer. I just compared it again tonight bc I was thinking no way could it be brighter or less yellow from an update, but it was indeed better tonight. Maybe it has nothing to do with the update...but my phone is better. I'll try to take some photos tomorrow to compare and share on here.

This is very interesting!!!!! What could cause it to change in a week?

I have run into this before with apple products. I think it was the 5 I preordered had pretty obvious yellow spots that went away after about 5 days. Anyway, you can obviously see the difference in the pics I posted.
