Can it be that my iP7's display is much more bluer to the right? I guess it's yellow to the left though. Can a screen have uneven yellow-blue distribution?

Unfortunately your posting history is publicly available. You specialize in complaining about Apple products and yet you keep buying them. Or maybe you're just really unlucky...

At some point you have to consider it might not be Apple with the problem.

I find it to be more unfortunate that you still defending for Apple while we talking about a complete different issue than what you trying to convey.

Would you give me your opinion on the display of my 7 Plus? The iPhone on the right is a 6s Plus.

Unless you want all your pictures of people with piss yellow teeth keep the right one.

My 7 Plus is going back for a refund next week. The screen has a yellow bottom and it's really distracting, especially now tha iOS is mostly white backgrounds. Scrolling in Safari is distracting because you see the yellow move into white.
Sorry but for a £1000 phone it's not good enough Apple.
If you're going to have Phil Schiller boast about your displays on stage then back it up with what we purchase, I know there's discrepancies in displays but not like this.
This is something I could probably have let pass with Apple products in the past but their hardware is just far to expensive now to forgive them if anything is subpar.
I had an Apple Watch on pre-order that I've now cancelled and an amount of savings for a anew MBP when it releases but I'm really thinking of looking elsewhere now.
Their products and services sadly don't appear to be matching their hype.

My iPhone 7 has this effect, too. Additionally getting quite yellow towards the bottom. I will return it. After a week of usage I can't unsee these effect.

I HAVE ONE ADVICE TO YOU ALL:

Use your iPhone for 2 weeks, expecially oudoors!!
In the end, if you still see a yellow screen, than return the phone!

In the UK, all the stores seem to be out of stock. So, getting a replacement phone isn't easy.

I called Apple and they weren't very helpful.

Just out of curiosity, did you even adjust the screen tone under accessibility? This is new with iOS 10 and allows each user to alter screen tone warmer or cooler to their liking. You are no longer limited to accept setting out of the box. You can change it.

You could simply adjust the color tint of the screen. Apple gave us that ability with iOS 10. I just played with it and can adjust screen color tint warmer or colder to exactly where I like it. TVs have had this adjustment for years as do most computer displays. It's actually rather easy to do, more so than going back and forth to Apple Store and exchanging phones. Once you set it to your liking, that's it. Couldn't be much more simple.

I tried that and it dulled the screen slightly. It's not a good option.

Does everyone agree with mi7chy in that the one on the left is yellow rather than warm?

A "warmer" 7 should look exactly like the 6s at first glance, and if you stare hard enough can see the slightest difference. Anything else is a defect and should be swapped/. This is not warm, 6500k or intentional. This is disgusting.

Dont believe me? Screenshot the GPU output and put it on a calibrated monitor - it'll be a nice gray/white like the settings screen has always been.

On my 2014 Retina iMac, that looks very red. And my iMac is not wide color to my knowledge. Only the 2015 iMacs have the wide color gamut.

*edit*

Oh I see. There's a symbol that you can't see without wide color. Craziness.

yep, see it on pro9.7 and 7+ but not 2015 rMB (nor 2016 rMB if I had one, since its not DCI-P3)

Outdoors?
[doublepost=1475198759][/doublepost]Went to the Apple store today and swapped out my IP7 for a new one. The display on the new one was exactly the same as the old one and still warmer than the display models. Oh well, at this point I'm just going to wait a few months and see if things normalize in the supply chain.

After having mine for 9 days now going on 10. Mine is absolutely less yellow compared to when I first got it. I didn't even think it was a huge deal when I got it, but it's when I put it next to my fiancée 6s+ which is a far cooler kelvin screen plain and simple. But at the same time her screen lacks the awesome colors i get in my 7+. But I did fear it may have been a tad yellow. I went compared to 5 different 7+ phones in store and all looked simileZ

It's hard to begin with capturing what I see with my eyes compared to how her 6s+ photos my screen.

It's going to be impossible to get the 6s+ to capture what my eyes see. But I'll post it anyway. Obviously it's far brighter in real time/life. Where it may look a tad pink towards the top via these pictures l, it's not like that. I just can't control how the 6s+ processes the picture. Just look how at a different angle the color shifts. It's going to be impossible for me to replicate what I see. Unless I get a professional camera lol.

The best I've seen in my household. All the other i7 phones have horrible yellow tint that doesn't go away with time. I'll keep mines. It's not close to the cool tint from the i6s+ but hey...

You do understand it will never be as white as the 6s right? They are different color temperature screens I believe display mate shows. When I compare to my fiancées 6s+ sure they 6s has whiter whites. But it also seems on the blue ish side compared to using my 7 now for 9 days.

Have you went to your local BB/Apple store to compare? I've compared mine to 7 different ones and they all looked the same as my 7+. I've even asked people their opinion while in store. I think it's gotten more white over the last 9 days, but it could be placebo lol.

No doubting that some 7 screens seem warmer than others. But if you want that exact white cool tone from the 6s. The 6s will probably be the only choice. Until they change to the OLED screens in the possible future.

Same concept I think if you get a TV professionally calibrated. Things will probably be on the warmer side with red and white tons, more natural. I myself prefer the cooler side. But it is what it is.

Yeah agree but mine was more yellow compared to even a warm screen which I would be happy with so I'll try again in a month or so!

I am totally with you. Everyone's eyes & preferences are different and if it will bother youit will just piss you off in the long run & take away from the experience of the phone as a whole. Luckily the 6s is still a great phone! IN all honestly my 6s+ felt just as snappy as my 7+. Oddly the animations were a tad smoother to, but that can be fixed in a software update. I just really like the new camera, i have used it a ton in low lighting concerts already. And it has been MONEY!

As a 7 plus owner i am curious to see what next year brings! I am on the IUP so i can hand mine in and upgrade next year. Maybe a OLED screen with SUPER bright whites haha!

Well, an all yellow screen from earlier this morning has now turned into a half yellow screen. There's also a drastic difference in the brightness. So there's obviously something wrong with the display, other than just colour-temperature.

Already tried, they have no stock lol.

My iPhone 7 has no yellow tint. It looks like the phone on the right. The display seems brighter and sharper and more vivid than my 6S. My brightness is not cranked up all the way like these phones in the photos above. I am using the default settings. Brightness is about 1/8 of the scale.

I'm obviously happy with my phone. I would be unhappy if my phone had a dim and yellow display. I would probably return it as defective.

On what basis are so many here saying these display issues are normal?

The basis is an undying love for Apple and an unwillingness to admit Apple makes mistakes. A lot.

Good to hear about your screen. I know Apple isnt making the 7s any warmer thats a myth. Any variations in displays is pure manufacturing qc.
