That's close to the my color my 7+ is roughly. Do you have a 6s to put the iPad next to? That's what people are referring to that the 7 seems yellow compared to the 6s. I'd like to see the IPP next to a 6s on that settings screen out of curiosity.

Negative on the 6s, i have a SE and it's significantly cooler.

I compared mine to others and it's the warmest for sure and the least bright of them all. Probably compare it to 10 so far.

I'm going to return it this week, hopefully they have a matte black replacement 128 available or not sure what to do...return it and wait?

Yes we are coming up on global launch so id wait til end of oct to try again.

I noticed the yellow at first and now it seems like it's barely there.

I don't think it's going away, but it's more like I'm getting used to it.

I also have the Qualcomm version and I swear it doesn't last as long as the Intel one my wife has the Intel. So this yellow non bright, bad battery phone will be returned.

My iPhone 7+ is warmer toned than my iPhone 6 and iPad mini 4.

I got used to the cooler tone and it's hard to Go back to the warmer screen BUT the warmer screen is easier to look at

As anyone checked under Display Accommodations? The default settings on my phone for colors are like 35-40%.

I realize some screens maybe defective but there is appears to be clear evidence that they have toned the screens warmer.

It is harder to accept the warmer tone but it's more natural in its appearance.

I think before you return your phones try changing the color filter in settings.

Warmer is fine, but not yellow screen. Warm and yellow is completely different. Using the color filter to fix it only kills the Color accuracy.

Nah the results will be the same lol. Either live with the warmer tone 7 and not the defective yellow screens or just move on and skip the 7 all together. It's that simple. If you still don't believe at this point that the 7 is supposed to be slight warmer (the good screens not the yellow ones) then it's time to move on. I find it funny that there is hardly if any, post with pictures that shows the 7 as blueish as the 6s. Yet you somehow believe and try to sell that the blueish screens are on the way after the wave of releases. LMAO you are very entertaining.

Are you saying adjusting the color filter on the warmer screen kills accuracy ? Or on the yellow screen?

Thanks for re-stating your opinion. Rest assured it has been duly noted. There is no more need to post as your thoughts have been heard and recorded.

You should take note of your opinion as well of this issue or non-issue that you keep trying to convey. When you can prove that your theory is right then I will stop and agree with you and admit I'm wrong this whole time. Until then we are all just speculating.

Be that as it may my comment on waiting til after global launch will help avoid a yellow defect screen which we both agree exist, so weather or not the good screens are blueish or slightly warmer the poster will have a better chance at a good one after global launch.

In that regards I agree with you. No point in getting into exchange lottery and not guarantee getting a normal warm screen (not yellow) or blueish if they do indeed exists later in the pipeline for this model.

All of these arguments just makes me laugh. At the end of the day we are being short changed by Apple for not giving us higher resolution and better type (OLED perhaps) screen. I hate the fact that Apple is now or has been playing the catch up on competition. If I wasn't so deep into iOS and Mac OS, I would have probably tried the alternative. I'm a software engineer and have always welcomed the alternative. Technologies change fast and you have to be able to adapt and consider the alternative that might benefit you more. If you don't, you will become irrelevant faster than you realize.

Well that's three strikes and out for my iPhone 7...first two from network supply chain and the third from store.

Gone back (with newfound appreciation) to my 6 with gorgeous display, running iOS10. Frustrating as really needed/wanted the 256GB storage but would rather spend my valuable time optimising my existing 128GB than suffer playing perpetual swapsies on a hugely underwhelming piece of "new" hardware just to get a screen that matches up to its 2 and even 4-year old predecessors.

As others have said, if I wasn't so utterly embedded into Mac/iOS ecosystem, I'd be gone in a heartbeat...

Apple had better step up next September, big time.

So exchanged my 7 with the yellow tint at the bottom today at the Apple Store. It bothered me too much while scrolling and typing.

My new one is now uniform. No gap at the top, no hissing, no nothing, just perfect.

BTW I'm in Europe so maybe we europeans get the phones from other factories, because I have seen so many people with those F2 serial numbers.

My first 7 plus 128GB Gold, had a dim top right corner, and a yellowish area at the bottom of the screen. The unevenness was improving with time though. I know there are doubters that things change, but they do on some phones. Your brain can adjust to a whole screen tint, but it will never get used to an uneven screen. My theory has been based on findings with the iPad Pro plus, that if you push slightly on the screen it goes yellowish under the finger. The screen flexes a lot on the 13" iPad pro because its so thin and big. The iPhone screen may be under slightly higher pressure in parts due to the mounting, build tolerances but after many warm-up/cool-down cycle some of that pressure evens out / reduces. However the dim top right corner was actually getting worse so back it went.

Second phone, 7 plus 256GB matte black, is very even and doesn't look "yellow" but is slightly warmer than the quite bluish 6s plus I had before. I am very happy with this one. I am in the UK and this is the factory information (note the F2L despite being in Europe)

  • Factory: F2L - China, Zhengzhou - Foxconn

  • Year: 2016

  • Week: 38 (19.09 - 25.09)

  • Age: Infant

Well, an all yellow screen from earlier this morning has now turned into a half yellow screen. There's also a drastic difference in the brightness. So there's obviously something wrong with the display, other than just colour-temperature.

Already tried, they have no stock lol.
Same here,. Had 7 and plus, SAME on both my 6S was much brighter clearer and more blues and whites! 7+ going back today! 6s screen in nicer my thoughts..

Then, please bring clarity to the confusion.

the reason why its more 'yellow' is due to the wider color gamut. you get more color detail. a lot of uninformed consumers will like the blue-point look since they are used to it and looks brighter. its why for tv's at stores they are in demo mode giving the same blue look as its 'brighter'

i have a spyder5 pro calibration device and after every calibration the colof profile looks warmer, but you are actually getting more accurate colors and detail from the images you look at.

really frustrating that people are returning their phones for new ones that are going to be the same.

And returning them thinking there's a problem when there's not.

So far I've been very pleased with mine. Colors are vibrant and accurate, more pleasing to the eyes than my 6.
