Mine does have the tint. Going from an iPad1 to the 3 it is quite clear to see it and I noticed it right away upon firing up safari. Can't see it being an issue though so no probs.

If you have nothing to compare it to ala an iPad 2 or an iPhone 4/4S you won't notice..

What'd I'd like to know/see is if anyone with a new iPad has similar hue/color/blue/cool screen. This yellow tint could just be the norm for ALL new iPads.

I just received 2 new ones. Compared both side to side. One has a slight yellow tint, the other is more on the slight blue side. Not to extreme differences but definitely noticed.

The yellow tint one actually shows more detail in the app textures like Calendar, etc. than the bluer tint one (More contrast maybe ?). Very very slight, but noticable. The bluer tint one has its pros as well. I bought 2, 1 for the girlfriend. Honestly cant decide now which one I want to keep for myself haha. Both are same 32GB Blk WiFis

I am simply amazed at the Retina Display. the screen is perfect IMO. My older iPad2 had light bleeds in the corner and didn't annoy so I kept it. Now, I was looking for light bleeds on my new iPad and couldn't find one so I'm extremely happy. I do notice a yellowish tint as you put it side by side with the iPad2 but I would say it is a matter of getting used to. Some people will get annoyed with the yellowish tint. I think I'll be OK with it. This one's a keeper :D

Mine has a more yellow tint. When compared to my iphone 4s and ipad 2 they are very noticeable. Hopefully the yellow goes away.

My screen had a bit reddish/ yellow tint on the left top side of the screen. Could this be the glue thing not dried up? Or is this a defect. Other places of the screen is fine.

I have reddish tint, blue doesn't look blue, for example fb app icon or app store icon looks off because of reddish tint

I have the reddish tint top left of screen. I'm hoping that it is just the glue as well. It's perfect otherwise.

reddish tint here as well. Very slight, even and fades out as it gets close to the center.

Will this fade over time?

That's what I like to know too... It is mor apparent when I leave the brightness at 50% which I usually do. I can see the red/yellowness tint on the left side of the screen, rig side is nice and bright.

Ugh, mine is yellow too, wehn put up next to my iPad 1.

Lame. I also noticed that the blue has a bit of a purple tint. Part of this is due to the increased gamut, but I also think that it is just plain off.

Yellow tint here too, even when it's not next to iPad 2. Noticed it immediately when going to the settings page. I'm just hoping the "glue dries" or whatever.

Kinda mars the gorgeousness of the retina with that warm yellow display :/

Umm, I know this is probably pointless but could we maybe stop banging on about "Yellow Tint" on iPad screens? That particular phrase in the Apple world tends to be used for screens that have an actual manufacturing problem, typically a significant yellow tint over part (or all) of the screen that's way beyond a colour calibration issue. I seem to remember it first cropping up when the Macbook Pro line went LED backlit in 2007 (the first batch of 15" machines in particular had serious issues) but it could be further back than that. I know I've personally seen issues with the MBP 2007 and 27" iMac 2011 and, believe me, you'll spot it instantly if you have a faulty panel.

What most are reporting is a warmer colour temperature on the screen and, while some may not like it, it's not technically a fault with the panel. By not making that distinction people (seemingly a very small number at this point) with actual issues may find it hard to get advice.

If you're not happy with the colour temp then, by all means, return it to Apple for either a replacement or refund. It's your money, you should have a product you're happy with. But maybe try and bear in mind that a warmer panel is not inherently a faulty one...?

I don't mind having a warm screen. The red/yellow tint on mine is a botch of discoloration on one corner of the screen. Anything on the left top corner look different from the other places on the screen.

I already got a replacement but that replacement got a dead pixel and red/yellow tint on the bottom of the screen. :(

Might have to replace it again... hope they still have more in stock...

Okay, so after comparing the iPad next to the Samsung Tab 10.1, the iPad definitely has a warmer screen. But it is not that noticeable when viewing the screen by itself. Here are some comparison pics. :)

I think I have a blotch of yellow tint in one corner of my screen. Hardly noticeable though, so I'm not going to make a big deal about it. Might go away, but if it doesn't, I don't think I mind.

Yeah, if you look at my comparison pics above (the all white screens and pages of text pics), you can see a blotch of yellow on the bottom edge, and lower left corner. I started to notice it about 30 minutes of using the iPad. This might be a very common occurence, so I am not sure if an exchange is worth it.

Mine is yellow on the top 20% of the screen. What glue are people talking about? The screen isnt glued to the glass like on the 4Ss right?

Is there glue from the LCD manufacturing process that can be causing this?

There's a cydia app called color profiles where you can adjust the screen color temperature. Works very well.

My 4s had a rather pronounced yellow tint which I was able to temper using the app.
