I got the e-mail, and when I go to check the status of the reservation, it says it can't be found. Needless to say, I'm going to be pissed if there's no reservation.
I got tired of waiting on the email to complete the order. So I went back on the app and tried to order again. It let me order one finally at 8am. And it's still coming by next Friday.
I was very surprised
All 6's seem to be in stock. Its the plus's that are oos.
Spoke with apple. The customer representative told me that apple wasn't doing reservations. I then spoke with her supervisor who told me the only way to get updates is through the link.

Yea I thought that too, but my gf ordered 9 minutes later and it told her she would get hers between Oct. 1 and oct. 6.
My theory is that these dates are just wacky this year and if you get your order in soon enough, u can ignore the delivery date and just expect the phone next Friday.
Some models are showing October shipping like Sprint and a couple other combos as of right now. Did she get gold? I
Got the same checking with carrier (ATT) systems last night, as I was trying to order once I was able to after two hours.
Checked it this morning not via iTunes logins, but with the B number and it says its there and a link to order will be sent in 24hrs.
Actually the email says 'You will have 24 hours from the time the email is sent to return to the Apple Online store to proceed with your order.', meaning, this email may never come.
I am starting to have low expectations for this reserve system. I should've pulled the trigger when I saw 10-14 days and the carrier systems WERE working (ATT).
I don't get it though. If the carrier systems are working now, why not shoot out the emails for all of the reservations? The carrier systems have been working on my end the last 4 hours.
