Just checked. -96. Not the best but not terrible. But frankly, while that will have an impact, as a customer I shouldn't care/worry about it. This is my 7th iPhone, the 3rd in this very house. None had this issue. My wife's OnePlus 8 is literally almost next to my iPhone, no drain. I also tried a friend's Samsung S20 FE. It's on 20% right now, 5 hours on screen time and 3 nights in the same room as my iPhone 12 overnight.
Can't say as I'm using it, but it does feel less tbh. I'm losing 25% overnight, so it should be dead the night after but it's not.

A poll I did on Reddit 3 days ago.
iPhone 12 mini thread, Wi-Fi on, airplane mode off.
I’ve performed another complete factory reset, and set everything up as new (did it yesterday). Thanks for sharing. Sounds like my battery drain is definitely worse than average, although I don't have the mini.
Btw, the aforementioned Samsung S20 FE is now at 17% with 10 hours on screen time over the course of 5 days. And that's with always-on-display on. A phone that costs £350 less than my iPhone 12.
(not to mention that the S20 FE runs at 120Hz refresh rate...)
Really annoyed at this point tbh. Especially given that reports about battery drain are all over the internet but nothing has happened for well over a month now from Apple's side.
The battery life on my iPhone 11 was superb.
I also sent my 11 in for trade-in.Yep. I still have my iPhone 11 (sending it for trade-in today though). It's running on the same iOS version but has almost no drain at all overnight. So it's either iPhone 12 hardware or the combination of 12 hardware and iOS 14.
I just did the same last night and my drain was about 2-3% over night.T-Mobile USA and 12 pro max. I installed maybe 10 apps but left all the settings untouched just to see.I’ve performed another complete factory reset, and set everything up as new (did it yesterday).
I left it alone all night, to index & what not.
I just installed my apps manually, and have put the iPhone on charge.
I’ll disconnect it, when it reaches 100%.
I’ll let you know if the drain persists.

That sounds promising.I just did the same last night and my drain was about 2-3% over night.T-Mobile USA and 12 pro max. I installed maybe 10 apps but left all the settings untouched just to see.
Same for me. It didn't even drop 1% during the night since i took 7.3. Now daytime it does feel like it drains more than earlier...For me 14.3 fixed the night battery drain issues I have been having on my iPhone 12 Pro Max.
What’s 7.3?Same for me. It didn't even drop 1% during the night since i took 7.3. Now daytime it does feel like it drains more than earlier...
Oh well, at least i get something done using battery vs drainage during night.![]()
Sorry I meant 14.3 (was thinking about WatchOS 7)What’s 7.3?
Contacted Apple support yesterday, just to be sure. They ran the usual diagnostics and found that the phone is in prime condition. Then they proceeded to instruct me to force-update to iOS 14.3 again, even though I was already running 14.3
Well - last night I had 30% battery drain in 8 hours. So that didn't fix it... The only thing Apple support suggested now was to read the generic battery knowledge pages - obviously rather unhelpful. However, I asked them to escalate it to the engineering team directly, but given how widespread this is, I reckon they already know (hopefully).
Any news from those who factory reset their phones?
Installing it now, let's see how that goes tonight.iOS 14.4 Beta 1 fixes the overnight drain on my. Lost only 3% in 8 hours with WLAN, Bluetooth and mobile data on.
With iOS 14.3 it was about 10-12%.
Good luck!!! 🍀Installing it now, let's see how that goes tonight.

How do I go about installing a beta?iOS 14.4 Beta 1 fixes the overnight drain on my. Lost only 3% in 8 hours with WLAN, Bluetooth and mobile data on.
With iOS 14.3 it was about 10-12%.
I’d say that’s quite acceptable?
How do I go about installing a beta?
I’ve never done so before.
Thanks.
I think that’s great! I did the same the other day. I reinstalled 14.3 from my MacBook then I didn’t transfer any data from iCloud backup, necessary info is already synced automatically when I login to Apple ID. This time I chose not to restore from iCloud backup. I made sure each app had its own sync within the app or backup to Dropbox etc. I wanted to make it as brand new as possible. The battery has been great since then, so far lost 6% in the past 5 hours with moderate use(no streamin yet) but screen was on for most of the time. Also the yellowish tint somehow got much better and more bluish with True Tone on and screen looks much crispier. Also it runs more snappy. So as you probably know, I factory reset my phone.
Left it to index for a night, then installed a relatively small amount of apps.
Since my last 100% full charge, I’ve lost 30% in a 12 hour period.
I’d say that’s quite acceptable?
My advice is to do what I did. I find that my iPhone 11 had better battery life, but I’ve since switch from Three to o2, so they could play a part in it.
I’m at my Nan’s for the weekend, so will be solely on cellular. I’ll update as the weekend progresses.

Thanks.
Thanks, buddy.
