Why not just SSH into your phone and copy the videos over?
I must have missed the announcement that forces people to keep their iPhone. Perhaps these people whose 'patience is just about run out' should go buy a new phone. That'll teach Apple and ATT!
This place kind of reminds me of a large family of rich children. One Christmas, the parents spend considerable amounts and really give good gifts. Thereafter, the children get upset and pout when the parents are struggling with the slowing of the economy or their bonus wasn't as big.
The people in this forum really need to take a step back and look at how good we have it. How many other smartphone providers offer upgrades of any kind? Bug fixes offered for free over the internet? Guaranteed updates in the future? Take what's given to you and be grateful, for s**ts sake.
On the other hand, I will admit that the other phone providers aren't leaving basic features out that warrant people begging for things that should be there in the first place. And other phone providers aren't announcing release dates for certain features and then leaving their customers in the dark when said date rolls by with no mention of that feature and five months later people are wondering if that provider developed alzheimers and completely forgot they had even mentioned it.
But that kind of goes without saying...
Thanks for the answer...what is the difference between an update on iTunes and one from the develpoer connection website (DCW)? Does it mean the 2.2.1 is a beta version or trial? Given the minor update why would it be necessary to update my iphone through DCW? Why is the update not avaiable through itunes?
Maybe you missed the whole 2-year contract thing
And to you all who are praising safari stability, come back in a week or two after actually using the phone and see how many times it doesnt crash. Wasnt it after 2.2 (maybe 2.1) that apple said "safari is more stable, go ahead, we dare you to try and crash it" and then took it down cuz safari would crash? Safari will never not crash, the sooner you get used to that, the better
I'm just talking about this latest update that has blocked people's ability to have Emoji on their phone. They had a potential feature one moment, now they don't.
Just tried to add a new phone number from recents and after going through the normal process, I noticed that it didn't take, anyone else having this issue since upgrading to 2.2.1?
A bug allowed Emoji to be enabled in the first place. That bug is fixed. Nothing was taken away because nothing was actually given in the first place.
Just added three contacts from my recents and they all worked fine.
So, it was a bug? My iPhone still has Emoji. Would you consider my phone defective then?![]()
After installing 2.2.1, images saved both through Mail and through Safari are still blurry if they are large files. Small images seem to work just fine. I emailed myself a 1.5MB and a 4.5MB photo and each turned out blurry. An 80kb image turned out fine, as did several 400x600 images from Safari.
Has anyone else noticed that the image size seems to determine whether the image is saved properly?
I've attached screen captures of an 80kb version of a photo and the 2.8MB version. The 2.8MB version ends up blurry when saved to the camera roll and viewed on the iPhone. The actual images saved are fine if imported onto my Mac, but show up blurry on the iPhone. See the examples I've attached.
Again, the actual images saved are fine, but not when viewed on the iPhone. These are the screen captures from the iPhone screen, not the originals.
You sound bitter.
The sdk is the Software Development Kit used for creating applications for the iPhone.
The 2.2.1 firmware update is what is available through iTunes. I think you were just mixing up your terms.
My iTunes says that my firmware 2.2 is the latest. Anybody else having update problems?
