And last I checked we were still sitting comfortably at #3. The only thing that happened was Ohio State re-extending their lead. It can still happen.
Nope, just screwing with you.
It won't. Some of the undefeated teams below Boise will start to jump them when they play "real" games. For instance, Texas plays Tech, UCLA and OU in the next three weeks. If they win all three of those, they will jump Boise. Same with OU. After destroying FSU, they've got Air Force, Cincinnati and Texas coming up. Win all three and they will jump Boise. Oregon may jump you if they beat Stanford in three weeks (if Stanford is unbeaten at the time). Iowa and Nebraska also will have chances to beat (multiple) ranked teams in the near future, and doing so will be much more impressive than anything Boise has done/will do at that point.
Boise's whole hope this season was predicated on beating a "very good" Virginia Tech team in (essentially) a road venue. Now that VT has lost to a I-AA team, that win is no longer a "quality" win. The only chance you have left is to beat Oregon State, but since TCU already did that, some of the shine has come off. Boise's only hope now is that a situation arises like a few years ago when all the contenders have one or two losses, and even then it might not be enough if those losses are to other top teams.
^^this will never happen but I would LOVE to see Boise State vs. TCU [part 2!] for the BCS title. Did I mention that I also still believe in Santa?![]()
Kyle Wilson struggling to defend Boldin. Probably because of Boise State's weak schedule.
Classic tweet by SI's Stewart Mandel during the Jets-Ravens game tonight.
Florida receiver Chris Rainey has been charged with aggravated stalking.
The post Tebow era at UF just keeps getting better and better; no wonder Urban Meyer damn near had a heart attack last Spring!

Alabama - 63 v. Boise St. - 17? OSU -34 v. Boise St. - 14.
How realistic is it to predict Boise St. beating either Alabama or OSU? How about Florida? Arkansas? Iowa?
They are an incredibly talented team, but they play nobody. Maybe one or two games a year... tops...
How can anyone really rate them or judge them, good or bad? I could beat up almost everyone at the nursing home, but I wuoldn't want to fight Mayweather or Pacquio (or any UFC fighter).

Nevada is just TAKING it to Cal!
Cal was knocking on the door of the top 25, coming in at #29, so this is a great win for Nevada, the WAC and Boise State!
Washington coach Steve Sarkisian calls Reggie Bush "an idiot."
I always appreciate it when coaches just call it like it is. None of the PC bullcrap that we always seem to hear.
Of course, that being said, I don't think for a second that Sark didn't know what was going on back then. I would bet the farm that Sark and most (if not all) of the coaching staff either knew outright or at least strongly suspected and simply did nothing about it.
It's old news nowadays, but I still really feel bad for the kids on the current team. Take away scholarships, but don't take away the ability to play in a bowl game. I understand the NCAA did it to hit USC in the wallet, but those kids don't deserve that...
I agree. That is one reason I actually like Steve Spurrier. He doesn't do much political BS talk.
Anyway, the thing with probation is that the NCAA can't really punish the individuals. By the time those investigations are done, the offending individuals are long gone. So, the NCAA does the only thing it can and punishes the institution. This is especially true in cases of the dreaded "lack of institutional control". One thing has always puzzled me about the NCAA and bowls, though. Bowls aren't officially sanctioned by the NCAA. The BCS isn't an officially sanctioned NCAA championship. Yet, somehow, the NCAA has the power to prevent schools from participating in bowls.
