WVU letting MD back in the game is exactly why I won't give my 2500 to the alumni association for decent season tickets. Mark my words, even if we win against LSU next weekend we will lose to a nobody Big East team soon enough.

Blame that on poor coaching, they flat out let the foot off the gas! When you have that much speed and talent at your skill positions it should be no reason for them not to hang at minimum 40 points running the Spread. Just saying...

The Aggies are going to suck again this year. At Kyle Field and barely beat FIU. Ugh!

I feel your pain. Sometimes I feel like an abused spouse who keeps going back to the abuser. "I thought it was really going to be different this time!". I keep rooting for them, and I can't explain why. It's not like there is much too root for. Geesh, I'm going to need a lot of booze to make it through this season.

Sloppy game for the Horns. I'm happy we got out of Lubbock with a win, but I think this team is headed for at least a three loss regular season. There's no way this team has the chops to beat OU and Nebraska, and I'll bet we have a loss somewhere else too.

In other games, Wisconsin's Shelton Johnson running down the ASU player to prevent a touchdown before the end of the 1st half was one of the most impressive things I've seen in a long time.

With a defense like theirs I certainly wouldn't say that. OU and Nebraska would kill to have a game like that in Lubbock and hold Texas Tech to under 150 yards of total offense. Besides, OU has barely escaped at home against both Utah State and Air Force already this season so it's not like they're exactly a juggernaut thus far themselves.

Agreed. I lost my job with the team when Rich Rod left, he was actually able to motivate players and was a good coach. As much as I hate him, I'd love to see him back.

We have Austin, Devine, and we all saw what Geno could do today. I agree that there is no way we should be struggling to get over 30 points, we should of hung 50+ today, but the 2nd half scoring was due to vanilla playcalling.

This drive is showing promise, but Arizona is completely imploding. A fumbled punt and an interception allows Iowa to tie the game. Crazy.

Both teams sucked on offense. They had STUPID STUPID turn overs and the horns got a touch down because of STUPID STUPID penalty by Texas tech.

Tech is in a rebuilding year right now with a brand new couch and they did a pounding on the horns. I agree dmr. UT is in bad shape this year if that is how they preformed against a unranked team that I am guessing is just going to be barely be bowl eligible this year.

Wow!!

Is anyone else watching this Arizona/Iowa game on ESPN right now??

Iowa gives up FIVE sacks in a row (one negated by a false start) on their final, potentially game-winning drive!

Stanzi should be better than that. When your O-Line breaks down over and over you gotta get rid of the ball!

^^yup, I was watching live last night; Stanzi and Locker both had some AWFUL games yesterday for potential Heisman/NFL talent.

The more and more I think about it, WVU should be balling like Oregon right now. No idea why they go into vanilla mode with all that talent on the roster. Oh well eh....in other news, Oregon just score AGAIN! :D

EAST LANSING - Mark Dantonio rolled the dice, and hit the jackpot Saturday in East Lansing. A fake field goal executed to perfection, leads Michigan State to a 34-31 victory over Notre Dame in overtime.....

Michigan State won the toss, and elected to start on defense. After a David Ruffer field goal gave Notre Dame a 31-28 lead, the Irish defense held the Spartans on three straight plays, to set up a 46-yard field goal try.

That's when Dantonio rolled the dice. Michigan State lined up for a tying field goal, but holder Aaron bates threw a pass to a wide-open Charlie Gantt, who rumbled 29 yards for the game winning touchdown in OT.

Whew!

Now now, let's not get crazy here. You didn't do a pounding on us, we just didn't beat your asses like we should have! :p

With a defense like theirs I certainly wouldn't say that.

I hope you're right. Our defense is definitely the bright spot. But the ugly offense and horrible mistakes just piss me off. Three trips to the red zone in the first half - three turnovers. Stupid penalties all over the place. Still no consistent running game. I think it'll mean trouble for us down the line.

Very true.

I was torn who to go for sadly because of how TT fired Leach I strongly disagree with so some ways I want to see TTU get pounded this year. I am going to miss those crazy 4th down attempt where it is 4th and inches and TTU throws a long bomb to get 30+ yards. It will become more safe plays and the big risk gambles are going to be gone.

You want to see anguish??

Watch/record LIVE With Regis & Kelly, tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM Eastern.

He will be having a stroke, on the air. Don't miss it. :p

He lives for, and dies after, every ND football game.

I guess Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio also couldn't handle the stress from that game. He had a mild heart attack yesterday after yesterday's game. Doctors are saying is resting and recovering, but he will be out "indefinitely". Check out the story here.

As we found out at the end of the Big 12 Championship Game last year, the clock is a very relative thing. Whatever the ref decides is on it is what the teams have to play with. Besides that, teams snap the ball right as the play clock hits :00 all the time.

That fake was ballsy as ****. Perhaps the ballsiest call I've ever seen. Good for MSU and I hope their coach has a complete and speedy recovery.

I'm not sure if Keenum ever redshirted, but does anyone know if you can use a medical redshirt even if you've already redshirted a year?

Yes, you can - if granted, conceivably a player can be around for six years.

Broadway looked pretty good, though. I think Houston has a player for the future.

Wow. Houston lost Case Keenum and his backup to injury last night. I'm not sure if Keenum ever redshirted, but does anyone know if you can use a medical redshirt even if you've already redshirted a year?

Very rarely, the NCAA will grant a 6th year of eligibility. Most of the ones I have heard of, though, have been due to multiple injuries. I feel sorry for Keenum. I wonder if he is regretting not coming out for the draft last year.

Keenum redshirted in 2006, so he would need to apply for a medical hardship to get that sixth year, but I would imagine he would rather jump to the NFL than try to come back unless his draft prospects look really dim.

Former UT-Austin wide receiver Jordan Shipley is a recent example of a player who got six years of eligibility, so it's not unheard of for the NCAA to grant it. But then again, Shipley missed two seasons with injury, not just part of one, so it's a little more unique. And, of course, UH doesn't have the clout UT-A does...

I bet he tries to get the exception for an extra year. It seems trying to get drafted coming off an injury is nearly impossible.
