Eh, I don't think the Big 12 will be around long enough to re-expand back to 12 teams. The money that kept the league together will never materialize. Texas is going to go independent just as soon as their TV network (backed by ESPN) is up and running. A&M and (probably) OU will go to the SEC, and the rest of the league will scatter. I think TCU will probably go to the Big East (maybe just in football) in a few weeks.

OU and OSU have to stick together. OK has a law in place that requires those 2 schools to stay in the same conference. I also do not think UT would be willing to go independent. They would never be able to pull in the the money. Now UT leaving that I would expect but I think they would want to make sure that some other Texas Schools go with them.

Newton started today ...

I really don't think there is anything to these allegations, it just seems like a convenient time to be slinging mud in hopes of tarnishing him before the Heisman vote.

If he did do something wrong, let's see the proof.

Really?
I believe it is all true
College football is dirty

If BYU can go independent in football, Texas can, too. BYU going indy actually makes it more likely, in my mind, that Texas will. With ESPN bankrolling the 13EV0 Network (UT won't have to put down a single penny), the money will be there. No league, including the Big 12, will be able to survive with one of their marquee programs having a separate TV deal.

Yeah, there are too many stories coming out. Something happened there, but it will take a while before it is all sorted out.

I'm torn on this game. One one hand, I want to see the East Dawgs pull the huge upset, but on the other hand, if Auburn goes to the BCS title game, all the other teams below them will get better bowls.

Utah really hasn't really scored a touchdown in two games. They didn't get one today and the one against TCU should not have counted.

So, Boise State caught a TON of crap in the media (and some in here) for beating Louisiana Tech by 29 points.

How much (if any) crap will TCU get for going down 14-0 to San Diego State? If TCU is held to the same level of expected perfection that Boise State is then going down 14-0 to the Aztecs should be TOTALLY unacceptable, regardless of the fact that they will still win.

We shall see...

It's either true, or it's a very organized mudslinging campaign.

My own opinion is that it's probably true, but the kid is still innocent until proven otherwise.

Which is why I said, let's see the proof.

If someone can prove something, then so be it.

^^I was wondering the same thing about TCU. They did NOT look impressive in the second half of tonight's game. :(
Here's hoping the big wigs don't dock off votes for SDSU running up 21 cosmetic points after halftime.

I'm talking about punches being thrown and players being ejected ...
