Heck of a game this LSU/ole Miss game is

Guess we might see the Mad Hatter at work late in the game again :p

Edit: What a stupid, dumb, idiotic, inexcusable, selfish act by the Ole Miss player
That penalty going into the end zone virtually assures LSU of at least a field goal and the game

No excuse
Pathetic

Edit2: TD

Yep.

I realize emotions run high, but that can't happen.

He handed the game away with that.

EDIT: On another note, Virginia Tech just won the Coastal Division by beating Miami.

What do think about that, Ignatious? ;)

The Dawgs get to swat the "bees" in a rare night game between the hedges this year.
You gonna be there chris975d?
I've got my tickets and I am looking forward to working out our frustrations on the Trade School from North Avenue.
For everyone else, it will be on ESPN, but put the kids to bed early, cause it will be an ugly beat down. :)

Ummm...I think I'll just watch the beating on TV! :D As much as I "hate" (playfully dislike, actually) the Dawgs, y'all are gonna beat us pretty badly I feel. We can't stop ANYONE, and although I think Tevin Washington may be a pretty good replacement next year for Nesbitt (Sims is pretty good too though), I don't think we have a chance against UGA. The Dawgs, in my opinion, aren't near as bad as their record might indicate. If there's one weak area to UGA its their defense, and for us to have any chance, our offense would have to play probably their best game of the year. But I know Green will eat our lunch, so the ONLY way we could possibly have a chance is just to get into a high scoring shootout and have the ball last (which is pretty much the only way we've won games the past 2 years). We really never "shut down" anyone's offense.

There were several penalties like that in the game. It shows Nutt has no control over his players, which was the situation he was in at Arkansas.

Ah, that's what I like to see! Stanford demolished Cal in the Big Game today.

Still pretty concerned that there's a good chance that Stanford could go 11-1, with that solitary loss coming @ #1 Oregon, and not get into the Rose Bowl or a BCS at-large bid. This team is far too good for the @!#&^ Alamo Bowl.

I agree it was a dumb move. However, I have never agreed with the dive being an unsportsmanlike penalty. I don't consider it taunting the opponent, but I guess it falls under the "drawing attention to yourself" clause. There is a lot of emotion in this game, and I don't begrudge a guy for being happy for scoring a TD, especially in a big game. If he does a Riverdance or gets in the other team's face, sure. But I don't agree with taking all the celebration out. And that rule next year where they will take the TD off the board is beyond stupid.

I can't speak for the King, but I think it shows how pathetically weak the ACC is.

Down goes Nebraska. I wasn't able to watch, cause we have Oregon State and USC here.

And speaking of the Beavers, have you seen a more schizophrenic team?!

well lets see TTU is going to a bowl game now since they now just became eligible.

A&M pulled another upset betting nebraska. Talk about a low scoring game of only field goals with A&M winning 9 to 6.

Just got home from the A&M-Nebraska game. What an epic night. Over 90k in attendance for an old fashioned defensive slugfest. Best performance by the Wrecking Crew in YEARS (even better than the OU game two weeks ago).

evilgEEk- does VT qualify for the FCS playoffs with that win? Maybe they can hang with Montana... ;)

The refs were HORRIBLE in that game. I mean, WTF seriously. Argh.....at least Neb can win the Big 12 still

yes, I am quite bitter

There were definitely some poor calls in the game (esp. the roughing the passer call) but Nebraska didn't show a lot of discipline with their late hits and Pelini's over-the-top ranting. Apparently he had to be restrained by security after the game because he was going after the refs.

Sadly, that's life in the Big 12: horrible officiating that you just have to overcome. We had all the calls go against us against OU and had three TDs called back (two one on drive!) against Baylor last week.

Unless A&M manages to win the Big 12 South through tiebreakers, I'll be rooting for NU in the championship game.

I wish my area had the A&M game. Instead I had to watch USC get manhandled by Oregon State.

Here's the latest Coaches Poll results. Top 15 are the same, but with Nebraska shuffled to #15.

Boise State has gained more ground on TCU. If the Harris does the same, I wonder if it will be enough to jump those Horny Frogs in the BCS?

Harris poll was just released and Boise State went from leading TCU by 8 points last week to leading by 62 points this week.

I think we'll have a new BCS #3 tonight, so all I have to say is...

ROLL TIDE ROLL

:D

BSU rolled a pretty good Fresno State squad. It'd be fun to see them play Oregon.

And Texas won this weekend! Wooooohooooo! ;)

There's two reasons I want to play Oregon in the championship game.

1. It's the freakin national championship game!! And if we beat the Ducks that might finally shut 'em up!

2. I'll actually go to the game, and it looks like my buddies and I would be takin that 900 mile trip in a 30' motorhome. :D

I'm not naive enough to think an Oregon win is a for sure, but it would be one heckuva game.

Boise will almost definitely be jumping TCU, and barring a pretty huge upset at the hands of Nevada, will have a very good shot at playing for the BCS Championship. Beating Fresno like that was very impressive.

On a different note, check out this video from the A&M game last night. It was shot from the top of the student side (where the freshmen stand). This was during Nebraska's last gasp play with about a minute left (and incomplete pass on Fourth Down).

Kyle Field was rocking last night. Maybe the loudest I've ever heard it in about 30 years of going to games.

No jump this week, maybe next week

What the?!?

First, why was this released two hours earlier than normal?!? I wanted to watch the countdown show. Lame. Thanks, ESPN.

And how the hell did we not jump them yet?!?

Oh well. We'll jump them next week.

The computers like TCU a lot more.

Why do you think they should jump them, being objective of course. I think TCU has been more impressive on the whole this season personally
