How the mighty have fallen
Florida State took the Gators and the U to the woodshed this year
They appear to be the program on the rise in the state
Florida has fallen now, after one average season? What has Georgia done then? Amputated at the knee?

That comment was directed at "the U" and their coaching hire
A once proud program that has truly fallen
No, the Gators have not fallen, they had a mediocre season, as did the Dawgs
And with the Muschamp hire, they have the opportunity to dominate again
But Florida State does appear to have the upper hand right now in the state
Oh ok I understand. I was gonna say wow! IMO Florida State beating Florida had more to do with Florida being terribly coached this year, than Florida State being "back." Florida absolutely killed themselves in that game against FSU.

Don Draper couldn't believe it.
Gus Malzahn has more than doubled his salary and received a contract extension that gives Auburn's offensive coordinator one of the most lucrative deals for an assistant coach in the country.
All of Auburn assistants, as well as head coach Gene Chizik, will receive raises. The raises were approved by the university's compensation committee last week.
Malzahn, who had a $500,000 contract, has agreed to a $1.3 million annual contract that is longer than the three-year deal he had been working under.
Gus Malzahn turned down the Vanderbilt job and was rewarded by Auburn. Handsomely.
Is there anybody that still doesn't think the Newton's got their cut from all of this?
A) Define "good record"
B) Tell that to Auburn's 2004 team
By all indications, Florida tried to steal a bigger names away from someone (Stoops, Petrino, Harbaugh, Mullen, etc.) but ended up hiring a coordinator. A good one, for sure, but not the "big splash" guy all the idiots in the media assumed they would get. They didn't steal a big-time head coach away from a power program, but instead got a guy who was sick of waiting on the better job he had already taken "in waiting."
I'm sure the Sun Belt would love to have you.
What is this?? I don't even...
OK, I see the one there...did they hide a 2 in there somewhere?

The logo is a block "Big Ten" which includes an homage to the original 10 members with those numerals embedded in the last two letters of the word Big.
The design firm Pentagram came up with the new logo. And, no, the conference never seriously considered putting a 12 in its logo or changing its well-known brand name to include the number of members today.
I really don't see the point of calling it the Big 10 and putting the word "TEN" and the numeral "10" in there when there are 12 teams. Stupid. From the ESPN article...
No...they actually "hid" a zero in there...according to what I've read, the "G" is also supposed to be shaped like a zero, to "hide" the number 10 in the "Big" of Big Ten...which is 12 teams. But apparently, according to Delany (the Big10 Commish), the name "Big 10" has brand recognition and they didn't want to change it. Just stupid all around to me, especially when you throw in those idiotic division names.
Kind of like how the "Big 12" is going to have 10 teams, eh?
And those divisions are just totally stupid. I thought the ACC divisions were bad, but this one is even worse.
Ha! We posted that (the part I bolded) at about the same time.
Too bad there aren't a few more rodent mascots.
Great (or twisted) minds think alike.

I laughed!
You could also have the "People" (Spartans, Illini, Hoosiers, Huskers, Hawkeyes, Boilermakers) and "Not People" (Wildcats, Wolverines, Buckeyes, Gophers, Nittany Lions, Badgers) divisions, but that's not as funny.
That was my other idea: People and Critters.
