More and more, it's intriguing to see two crazy offensive teams like the Royals and Mets go at it.

I do want to say this though ... at least the games with the Dodgers (with the exception to Game 3) were way more closer than the Cubs series.

Postseason baseball: it's a whole different game. Once again, the little things cost the Cubbies: letting Cespedes steal third, Schwarber's miscue in the outfield, and Rizzo unwisely stepping on first before throwing home, not to mention the outfield ivy bailing them out from another catastrophic mistake.

The Cubs' young hitters just haven't cracked it yet. Solo homers won't win you many ballgames in October. But, they made the postseason well ahead of schedule and they will only get better in coming years as Schwarber and Bryant mature as hitters. That NL Central is going to be brutal!

I'm going to enjoy this moment, last time the Mets were in the World Series I was 10 and all my friends in school were Yankees fans. Needless to say it was a rough time. KC has a great team and they were there last year so it's going to be tough, but I believe in our pitching and big Murph so let's see what happens..... That is unless of course the Jays come back which is a whole nother challenge......

On another note I have to say that I found myself feeling really bad for Cubs fans, man that is a suffering fan base right there, they looked so depressed and devastated. But you have to give them credit they were there on their feet till the end

They sure didn't. Wonder how that will affect them when the play a super aggressive KC Royals team?

I like the Royals and the Mets and I would love to see a 7 game series. But even though KC didn't sweep I think they will get the WS in 5 if they continue to play the way they have. KC gets more dangerous when backed into a corner and are even more dangerous if you let them get an early lead. It's most likely KC's year. Either way, and I assume the AL team will be KC, it will be strange that the last time either team won the series, most players on both teams were not born yet. Unless individuals on either team were on a different team in recent years that won it all, it won't be because anybody is chasing the feeling of winning it again.

This should be good, I hope.

Marty McFly was wrong.
I feel very happy tonite. The NY Metropolitans finally made it to the WS. Last time they won was in 1986 and i was about 10 yrs old but i do remember it. Being born and raised in Queens, NY was an awesome experience in my life...even if they lose, i will still be a Mets fan till i die.

everybody keeps saying that, they were just her a few years ago too... they lost, but still they were there. the cubs going would have been a much bigger deal.

rooting for ya though. GO METS!

I've long planned on buying a 1950s era New York Giants cap (black cap with orange interlocking NY logo) to cover my loyalty to my hometown team and their storied past in my adopted city. Now I'm definitely getting one to show my support for our descendent franchise.

Don Mattingly will officially leave the Dodgers this afternoon. Interesting that the Dodgers offered him a contract and he declined and left. A bunch of people in LA would have predicted it the other way around. I wouldn't be shocked someone like Gabe Kapler ends up at the helm.

What I want as a Giants fan is for you to get rid of your extremely successful manager. But smart money says the LA Dodgers have their best chance for 2016 with Mattingly at the helm. Most teams never win their division multiple times and he's done it three times in a row. Before Mattingly, Los Angeles has never won three Western Division titles in a row.

Mattingly was going into a lame duck season. Better he leave now then get fired either mid way or at the end of the season. They both need a fresh start.

If they tank with or without him, that will be great news for the Giants. It's been since 2012 for SF for taking the division. We had a pretty good year in 2015, even with all the injuries, but LA was always ahead of us no matter what. They had a solid regular season. They countered every streak we had with one of their own. Even without Greinke, it's possible all things being equal that they may take 2016 out west.

Here's what Bleacher said about the Dodgers before this season:

Yes, it's nice to still do well in postseason via the wild card and it was as good as playing catch up as SF had ever done, but the next year was many months of being LA's bitch in the division and that's a lot of painful baseball. We can best them head to head like we did but they had a much better time playing everybody else and we struggled too much, even with weak teams. Even if we don't win the division, it's our arch rivals out front most of the season and that's hard to bare. If we don't get the division in 2016, for once let it be Arizona, Colorado, or San Diego! I think from what I have heard from those fans, it's LA that is hated and feared the most in the division.

now run Puig out of the league.

He has talent and may not be approachable in the locker room or good with the press, but Giants have a few guys like that and can do well as a team, so I will take him (and Greinke) over in SF.

Greinke has such a man crush on the Giants. He totally gets what has made the team successful. I'd love to see him in the orange and black, but he'll be out of the team's price range and the Dodgers will back up the money truck for him.

Magic can put up cash easily.

Grienke is what we need since we didn't get Tanaka, Lester, or Shields last year.

We bested LA in head to head and one of those three aces would have meant first in NL West, not second.

The new owners quote on pitchers: "pitchers break"

They mentioned how they're not particularly fond of give big contracts to pitchers. Especially those whose contracts will end in their late 30s. I have no doubt Zack will want 6 years, 180 mil. Just how good will a 38 year old Grienke be at $30 mil? I'd love to see Zack back in blue, but I've learned not to hold my breath.
