I was wrong on 3 of the 4 games, proving once again, on any given Sunday (or Saturday)
I've seen too many stupid crazy endings to ever believe it is completely over until the fat lady actually sings, goes to bed and turns out the lights

That said, I'll be doing the unpopular thing and pulling for the Patriots
lol. i'd given a thumbs up as i was reading this then i saw that last bit and took it away. lol.

GO VIKES! GO ANYONE BUT THE PATS!

It was an interesting playoff, and if the patriots were knocked off fby the Titans, it would have been a fresh super bowl with new teams. With that said and with crazy ending of the viking game, ratings are continue to tumble for the NFL. They have to be concerned at this point, less and less people are watching the game.

Me too :p

I'm not sure this was a good move by the Jaguars, I'm really surprised by this:
Jags players defend Jalen Ramsey after CB's Super Bowl guarantee
"We are going to the Super Bowl, and we are going to win that b----. We are going to win that b----."

If anyone could look down at one team over another, its the Patriots, but so far they've afaik, not really talked much.
[doublepost=1516109385][/doublepost]Looks like the Patriots will be losing both the OC and DC this year. I can't say that I'm surprised, I guess what was surprising was they stuck around for the 2017 season.

I think given the issues with the Defense, Matt Patricia did a great job - looks like he may be heading to Detroit while McDaniels is going to the colts. I think in McDaniels case, he's learned a lot since coming back to the patriots, not just Xs and Os, but how to handle people, as he had horrible people skills in Denver. I saw an interview with him a couple of years ago when he came back to the Pats and he was a more humbled man, who said he realized the mistakes he made in Denver. Self realization of one's shortcomings is a attribute I admire, all too often we as human beings are closed off to that, our pride gets in the way.

Pulling for the Patriots, belchik and Brady can cement their legacy as best at their positions.

Solidarity, bro, and a bit of swagger. Swagger is good.;) Sure the odds are overwhelming just like the Jets facing "the greatest football team in history" in SBIII. Broadway Joe guaranteed a SB win and was widely ridiculed for being so brash. It all rides upon which Jaguars offense shows up: the won that played the Bills or Steelers.

Yet, his teammates mentioned how they used Pittsburgh's words as bulletin board material and now he did the very same thing. Seems like a mistake.

If they win, he is brash, confident and a leader among leaders
If they lose, he looks foolish, arrogant and prideful and got what he deserved

I've always appreciated players that let their play on the field to their talking for them

Exactly, there was so much talk about the Steelers players overlooking the Jaguars and making statements about playing the Pats. Very poor judgement by Ramsey in light of that, and the fact that the Patriots are the last team on the planet that you want to piss off.

In fact I wouldn't put it past Kraft or someone in his camp having leaked those things to the ESPN writer in order to get the team fired up and bring them closer together.

Agreed, I would hold all the trash talking or should I say "guarantee Super Bowl" stuff till after you win the big game! No need to rattle hornets nest!

Can we all agree, other than @maflynn, I think, that anyone other than the Pats will be good. ;)

And let's face it, the Jags offensive performance in the Wild Card vs BUF had all, or so it seems, of us thinking they were lucky to advance.

Or that the Buffalo defense was highly underrated. The Bills' offense was so bad this year that it made the Jags D look better than it really is too. Giving up 42 points is not an elite D.

Looks like the Seahawks are cleaning house.

They've fired: Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, defensive coordinator Kris Richard, linebackers coach/assistant head coach Michael Barrow, offensive-line coach Tom Cable.

I don't know if this a good thing, a bad thing, or if Carroll is feeling the heat for the lack luster performance since his last superbowl appearance. The last two years they bowed out at the divisional playoffs and this year they didn't make the playoffs.

Alright who do you guys like this weekend?

I say:

Jaguars - on the strength of their D-line they shake up the pretty boy a little bit with a 4 man rush and no blitzing to win an ugly one

Vikings - Much better defense than ATL and Nick Foles barely squeaked out a win against them. I dont think he'll be able to do much against the Vikings D

and we'll have one of the most defensive Superbowls in recent history

The next day Belichik will resign proving all the rumors true, he will go on to become the head coach of the Giants surprising everyone and ESPN headquarters will work itself up in such a tizzy that it will self-combust

My prediction would be Pats vs Vikes in the Superbowl. I think at this point I'm okay with any of the 4 winning the Superbowl, but I would prefer a Vikes or Pats win over an Eagles or Jags win. I could easily be swayed to appreciate an Eagles Superbowl win since they have never won the big game before. Sadly, I just don't care that much about the Jags. I've not heard any compelling stories about their team nor do I really feel a connection with any of their players.
