Or at the very least force the vikings to try a long field goal to tie it up. The momentum was with the Saints, so I think that's one reason why it was such a shocking end.

if there was time left. remember the Vikes had no time outs left and very, very little time on the clock. if he doens't get out of bounds they were screwed anyway.

For myself as someone who lived in the Twin Cities for 3 decades it was a wonderful shock for them to get the ball with something like 25 seconds left and were able to score. They made some significant plays that worked. Yes it can be argued the Staints blew it.

I think we all were! LOL... What was funny is we were all screaming get out of bounds, which quickly turned to holy **** he is going to score!!!! RUUUUUUN!

Hahaha, that's exactly what we were doing!

"WTH is he doing!?!?! Get out of ..."

"... Oh my god, there's nobody between him the goal line!!!!!"

The getting out of bounds is usually so burned into the head of a WR during a final push with time running out, it was great to see Diggs have that kind of awareness.

Jags-Vikings would be an interesting SB, quite the defensive struggle probably. I think the Jags D matches up well with the Pats. Everyone knows the way to beat Brady is to hit him without blitzing... once he starts whining and yelling at the refs as he picks himself up off the ground you know it’s over

Can we all agree, other than @maflynn, I think, that anyone other than the Pats will be good. ;)

All I have to stay is that I'm glad Pittsburgh lost, the level of arrogance exhibited by the team, was such that they completely overlooked Jacksonville. I mean the coach was reported to looking forward to the rematch earlier this season. Bell and Mitchell both tweeted stuff about playing the Pats when they hadn't even taken a snap against Jacksonville.

Poor preparation and coaching led to their downfall. Of course the coaches lack of faith in his defense led them to try an onside kick, and I guess if you don't think you can stop them (and they couldn't all game) then they need to try something, but their track record with onside kicks seems to be horrible.

The Patriots would be served well by taking note and not looking past Jacksonville. I'm sure all of the pundits are already proclaiming the Patriots to be the winner and I agree it appears to be a David vs. Goliath match up, yet if you recall, David won that match up :)

And let's face it, the Jags offensive performance in the Wild Card vs BUF had all, or so it seems, of us thinking they were lucky to advance.

Saints fan here... :(

Ahhhhh.... We were watching it with a few Saints fans and the look on their faces after he made the catch and scored was priceless! Sorry bud, maybe next year. Rumor has it, that might be Drew's last season to boot.

Out of the 4 teams remaining, 3 of them have never won the Super Bowl. So, while I'm rooting for the Vikings, I'd be happy with anyone but the Patriots.

That is who I am pulling for. I can't pull for Philly, well because they are one of the few teams I despise and I am hoping one of the teams that has never won it before pulls through and wins it all!

No slight against the Saints, they thought they had the game in hand, and one missed tackle and boom, it all changed.

I should report you to the Staff team for further psychological harm...

In all honesty, what I believe is that Marcus wanted his tackle to be epic. It backfired and here we are.

I was wrong on 3 of the 4 games, proving once again, on any given Sunday (or Saturday)
I've seen too many stupid crazy endings to ever believe it is completely over until the fat lady actually sings, goes to bed and turns out the lights

That said, I'll be doing the unpopular thing and pulling for the Patriots
