Lies. There is no “hemorrhaging” of users. iPhone user base has actually increased. A gazillion people buying $50 Android phones and changing the size of the pie doesn’t change this fact.

People aren’t really leaving for Android they are just keeping their iPhone for longer

I upgrade every year since 2007. There’s really no reason not to IMO. They get better every year and I just sell the old to make up the cost of the new. Easy.

I usually get jazzed up about the events but I won't be watching this year. I'll catch highlights elsewhere but the events just aren't the same as they use to be. And I don't mean because Steve Jobs isn't doing them.. now its about promoting their clients and relationships rather then showing off their focused products. If I have to sit through another moving lego demo with flying dragons then it better be for a very very good reason. This year just doesn't have any real reason to do so. Only product I may get hyped about would be the Apple Watch because that's my main focus for programming my personal apps (iphone/ipad for clients). But again doesn't seem like much will change on that front either. New screen next year is absolutely worth the wait.

We want a camera that's more amazing every year and better battery life. That's really it. Make the phone thicker at this point just make the battery last a few days and forget AR Ikea I can see my couch in my living room horsesh!!t that rarely works.

IMO less than 5X optical zoom is unacceptable in next gen top phones.
i hope Apple can produce it, although doesn't seem so.

Lmaooo yeah I honestly don’t like the demos. It’s nice to see the power of Apple’s products, buttt... Zzzzzz.

I’m excited about the frosted/matte back and a potential Pro Motion display. And what they’re going to do to replace 3D Touch.

Definitely hyped for the event.

  • A sub-$3,000 price tag
  • A 4K display
  • USB-A, MagSafe, or SD card slot in addition to USB-C
  • A thicker design with a better cooling system
... you should expect to be disappointed.

promotion it would be nice and a selling point, but not this year. 3D touch will be replaced by long press touch, its already known...XR has that

no one wants an 4k display because of macOS scaling and igpu UI delay. USB-A...fewer people...the onyl thing is better cooling and 90W battery to sustain that 16.4" display up to 10 hours
 
If they release that together with the new MBP and the new AirPods it's gonna be a hell of an expensive month for me... looking forward :)

I have an entire thread posted explaining why Apple should adopt a 4K display for the 16" MacBook Pro. It makes a lot of sense, especially if the 16" MacBook Pro defaults to "Looks like 1920 x 1200" to give it more screen space than the current 15", meaning a fuzzy display with 1.25:1 scaling.

Nobody agrees with you. Again just to have more pixels for nothing just to make the current igpu and battery struggle for UI is irrelevant and useless

If set to "Looks like 1920 x 1200", the GPU is driving the same number of software pixels regardless of whether the panel's physical resolution matches. The only difference is the extra scaling step which softens the picture, this is required if Apple doesn't include a panel with a 3840x2400 physical resolution. You really don't know what you're talking about.
