yep, I agree totally. These days its all about money and well being is secondary. I've recently moved from UK to Canada and I'm shocked how much worse the quality of the food and what is actually allowed in the food here. For all the bad things EU did there was one thing certain. EU protects food much better than North America.
I try to buy as much organic as i can but not always. I also avoid almost everything from USA unless its organic but even then I'm cautious.
So yeah, it is a problem. Food, pollution and modern tech that is being pushed without proper testing.
The stats on 5G are scary not to mention the amount of anntennas that will be need in comparison to 4G. Not saying that 4G is super safe but the difference is insane. With this pace will microwave ourselves.

with you on 5G.
the other day, someone posted a blatantly conspiracy oriented link to someone going on about the health dangers of 5G.
i did click on it and looked and watched bits and pieces of it.
it was obvious that it was stringing a lot of unproven conspiracy type of fake-news about 5G.
but, then towards the end of it there is about 4 or 5 minutes of actual US Senate hearing testimony on the health implications of 5G. this hearing was conducted in feb 2019.
the questioning was done by Senator Richard Blumenthal, a Senator that I respect for his cool logic and understated tenor.
the witnesses testifying that day were representatives of the major carriers now engaged in network upgrades to 5G.
Senator Blumenthal asked if any of the companies have used or seen independent research on the health implications of 5G, or, would be willing to pay for truly independent research. all just sat there and said nothing.
Senator Blumenthal characterized the FCC's failing to initiate conclusive health studies on 5G as the FCC's most egregious failure in its entire history.

Proving a negative, sounds impossible.

NO more 3D Touch, NO more Face ID, AND a new iPhone SE?!?! :D:D:D
It's too much to hope for! But it would be amazing (and maybe keep me with Apple when my SE reaches EOL)
[doublepost=1558743917][/doublepost]
No, it shouldn't, because that isn't why the product ever existed. No one cares what you would buy immediately.

I hope you don't think the product existed to be a "cheap" iPhone. No one cares about that. Only the size, design, build quality, and features. On the first 3, the current SE outclasses all other current iPhones - it just needs new internals/memory etc. It should be the flagship of the line, and I'd pay $1000 for that.

If Apple eliminates 3D Touch in all their 2019 phones, that might be enough to make me hold onto my iPhone XS Max for another year. I love 3D Touch, I think it’s a fantastic feature that Apple has never really promoted or leveraged properly, and it will be a real shame if it goes away.

You should get your phone checked. I don’t have the issues you’re talking about. I doubt my phone has a bug that makes it work better than it’s supposed to.
Try to use Face ID on iPad Pro in landscape mode. Try to use Face ID when holding your iPhone a bit close to your face. Try to use Face ID when lying on the bed. These are situations I often end up typing passcode to unlock my iPad or iPhone.

Full screen touch ID? Isn't that a step backwards? Face ID on my XR works 100x better than fingerprint ID on my iPhone 7. That was pretty unreliable. Face ID hasn't missed yet.

Wonder if the 2020 iOS will continue to look like 2007... Yeah, probably. It's ridiculous that the iOS Homescreen continues to look like an ancient PoS. Can't move icons where you want, just play that little wiggle game of shuffling icons. Unbelievable.

A year from now, give or take, is too long to wait for an SE2. I have two immediate family members with SE's that need new phones and will not go bigger than the SE form factor. I guess I better find some good quality used SE's.

Oops, just checked...out of stock. Sorry!

You know, you don’t have to buy it if you don’t like the SE.
Let those of us who like it have the choice.

How weird is THAT? A person begging for a product not to be made that he has no interest in buying anyway?? As if the very existence of such a product somehow affects their life in such a negative way that they are asking for it not to exist?? Can you imagine seeing an iPhone user posting "Please no more Samsung phones"? How about a BMW X5 owner pleading for BMW to not make anymore of smaller X3s?? Absolutely pathetic. Or just trolling. Either way, not a good look.

It's only superior in terms of security.

Given that is its job, it is pretty much all that matters.

It is far less reliable, sometimes slower, and doesn't work at all in some situations. Not a day goes by where I can't open multiple apps or autofill passwords. That sort of thing rarely, if ever, occurs with TouchID.

It is more convenient, makes notifications private, works when my hands are wet and is more secure, seems like the trifecta. I can say that the version on iPad Pro is even faster and works in all orientations, so I expect a new version for the 2019 iPhones to be similar.

Apple hasn't decided on what they are doing with the iPhone in 2020. So its amazing that the suppliers know.

While the idea sounds nice Barclays record for knowing Apples plans is not that good

I don’t see why Apple can’t have both Touch ID and Face ID. Then users can have the best of both worlds and can use whichever works best for them. Also getting rid of the top and bottom bezels and going full screen would allow for a 4.7” screen in a smaller 4.0” form factor. I would upgrade my older SE in a heartbeat.

Do these people really believe that Apple will walk back on Face ID? After going with it on the iPads, the company has given more than enough evidence that it is fully invested in it. Never mind the fact that once you use Face ID you realize how much superior it is to Touch ID.
Not a chance... Face ID is RUBBISH! Works great some of the time. Touch ID was great all the time. Funny angles and when I am not even facing it. Face ID is great for.. when I wear gloves.

These rumors have mixed up so much. Apple doesn't return to Touch ID after saying Face ID is thousands times more secure.

Yes they are. They aren’t getting rid of Face ID. They are adding in a secondary method for future passport and state issued ID’s on iphones to be accepted legally at places. Just adding not replacing.

RIP 3D Touch :'(

So depressing to hear. Unless they come up with another way to peek and pop in photos and websites, this is horrible news.

If there is another iPhone SE it should be “small edition” and not the cheap-out version. In other words, a modern iPhone designed to be smaller. If Apple would just make an iPhone that fits the physical size of the current SE but with the X style treatment I would buy it immediately.

Absolutely. Something the size of the current SE, but with the X/XS/XR form factor and I'm throwing money at Apple and back to queuing up at midnight for one like the good ol' days.

Doubt it will happen for a while though, if ever.

Hmm it seems to be one of these technologies where we’ll find out the true health implications whilst or after using it! Because as you said few seem interested in doing their jobs properly and as per the norm they are just chasing the $$$$.
The FCC has to test the devices for the different markets I thought like the UK and Europe, and the US, so that’s millions if not billions of people at risk, this isn’t very good.

Bye-bye 3D Touch...

And a few years ago Apple called this 'revolutionary" Now the the dial has moved again. Full screen Touch ID would be good, and it was back when they "couldn't do it"

Nothing has changed :)

Only if you're naive enough to believe this ill-informed nonsense. 3D touch is a premium feature, one of the distinguishing ones between flagship and budget iphone models. It's not going anywhere.

You can’t say that without certainty (Unless you have a source). Even though I’m inclined to believe it 3D Touch _could_ be here another year, as previous rumors indicated that 3D Touch would be deleted last year, and that didn’t happen. But it’s not entirely out the realm that Apple may remove it, as a reduction cost, and use the simulated version the XR has.
