2020 Macbook Air order status

For those who have a new MBA seemingly stuck in Asia somewhere, keep in mind that with almost zero commercial air carriers flying out of China, there are only so many options for UPS, FedEx, etc. to get shipments moving. And as big as Apple is, right now they’re taking a back seat to other more needed supplies being sent out of China.

I hope that once we’re out of danger zone with this virus, that we all not only appreciate our local brick and mortar stores but support them in our daily lives. They’re all going to need our support going forward.

So I just got my shipping information at 3:00 Eastern Daylight Time. My base model macbook air is coming out of Carlisle PA and will arrive Tuesday. So that explains how they planned to get it to me by the end of my delivery date of 4/7-4/14.

Then Apple shouldn't be charging us 2-3 weeks before. Usually I'm charged with a BTO order and get it in a week. I've been charged 2 weeks ago and likely will need to wait another 2 weeks.

Did they actually charge you and settle funds from your account or did they authorize your card for the full amount, and will settle the funds once it ships? That's typically how it works and can be confusing to some consumers.

Oh no, they charged me the full amount as due in my next CC payment or I will be charged interest...

I have been looking at my tracking the last couple of days and it’s just said it’s in Hong Kong, however looking at the way it’s coming is in a batch with UPS World Ease and when I check the UPS site, the green line is getting closer to the right hand side.. am I going mad? And my eyes playing tricks on me? The last location tracked is HK.

My order moved from processing to preparing to ship sometime this morning - I checked when I woke up and it was still processing and within the last 40 minutes (it‘s just before 8 am EST) it moved to preparing to ship. I also have the pending charge on my card. My delivery window still remains 4/14-4-21.

Update: shipped around 1:30 p.m. Expected delivery tomorrow 4/14 via FedEx overnight shipping from PA to MA.

When did Apple say you should have it Delivered?

Mine still says in transit and hasn't updated since last week. Apple's date for delivery is Apr 15, but they were telling everyone a conservative time. I called Apple and they say i just have to wait. Of course, I have my credit card bill with the charge on it so I'm paying for nothing. Very frustrating.

I ordered the same config three days before you and mine still says processing. Delivery date still says April 17-24, which it has said all along. Hopefully I see something happening soon.

The package arrived saturday morning in quebec city. I hope that it's getting deliver today, I've been waiting 23 days...

4-3 to 4-7 I believe.

Just got off phone with Apple. If it doesn't arrive by tomorrow, they'll send another one out. Of course I'll be back of the line and will likely get it about the time the MBP 14 comes out.

I'm in almost exact same situ...ordered 23/3, 'shipped' 1/4 via DHL, been stuck on 'Shipment information received' at Eindhoven ever since. Delivery date listed by apple as 16/4.

I did a chat w/ Apple earlier today to ask why no shipping updates - reply was you only get updates when it arrives in Eindhoven (ie for last 1-1.5 days of the process). I pushed him for info on where my actual order was currently and he eventually said hub in China, approx 2 hours away from factory. So seems like they've just been sitting in a transport hub for past 12 days going nowhere. Looks like they're prioritising other territories.

In case you're interested as of about an hour ago mine has now been processed in Amsterdam and is now saying delivery will be on Weds 15th...
