idk if there's a trend with certain devices, but my issues are on a Silver 6s+ 64GB from T-Mo.

I know it's not dependent on whether you restored your iTunes backup or not. I restored my AT&T 128 from backup without problems beyond the first few hours when it was indexing. But others who started clean still have problems. And I don't think the color of the phone or the carrier or the amount of storage capacity have anything to do with it either. It might come down to specific apps or configuration.

Whats wrong with your device?

and I think some more before that.

my bad. thought you were asking what different devices we had.

I only had one lockup today. I tried to unlock with the home button and nothing happened. Then I hit the wake button and nothing happened. Then suddenly the screen popped on and took a screen shot.

This happened to me once...

Thats crazy. Seems like it isnt even solved in 9.1's development....

You meant the screen unlock right?
No mate. I mean when i unlock the phone, the status bar takes a few seconds to appear, during those seconds the phone can't be used, doesn't register presses or anything. Going to clean install 9.1 beta 3 and see if that makes a difference.

No, it doesn't make a difference. I tried the same, a clean install for both 9.0.2 and 9.1 beta 3 and it didn't resolve the issue. It is annoying that the phone is completely unresponsive until the status bar appears again. What I'm surprised is that the "genius" at Apple support didn't know what status bar was. They are going to send me a express replacement because they want to test the phone. Mine it's not even registering my steps, it says no data. I have an iPhone 6s Plus. I hope I receive a brand new phone and not a refurbished one. I would be upset if it is a refurbished.

Your right, still the same issue. To be fair, i still think this is a software issue and not hardware as other than the few seconds of no status bar, the phone flies.

I explained to Apple that my device

1. reboots to the apple logo randomly

2. freeze while unlocks

they offered to replace the device as i am within the 14 days period

do you think replacing the device helps?

i am worried the next replacement unit / new unit is gonna have more defects than this. (can't find any cosmetic defects)

Cant do more than try and if you have any issues just take it back, its a shame this is happening. Im still thinking this is a software issue though

same. i am 90% sure its a software issue. if i replaced the phone, the next phone may be worst off and have defects.

true, very unlikely though but there is always the chance. Hopefully an OS update will sort this, if not i will replace in a few weeks/months

If I receive a defective unit, I will let them know and return it. You don't have to keep a defective unit.

is it affecting you?
Yes, it is. I asked for a replacement. When they receive the faulty unit, they will test it and see what could have been causing it. They either want to see if it's a hardware or a software issue (that's what they told me when I spoke with a senior advisor). I'm saying some users because I have heard just a few people complaining about this.

does the replacement do it? I have had two 6s Plus now, bought as separate purchases and both have done the "status bar, taking a few seconds to appear" thing. I have not had the other issues after a settling in period of a few hours.

I haven't received the replacement yet. If it's a software issue, why there isn't more people complaining about this? It is very annoying to wait until the bar appears just to use the phone. Also, mine is not recording my steps, simply says no data.
