i had a few freezes yesterday that didn't even let me power off the device. The screen was freezing up and non responsive. I couldn't do anything but force restart.

I noticed a few times when I was switching safari into private mode, it would lock everything up for about 20 seconds. I go into private mode quite often to umm, you know, umm view news stories that only give you a certain amount of free articles! Yeah!

Well, that would explain your slippery iPhone.

My 6s+ is also lagging on the status bar after unlocking. It's very annoying (especially for a brand new phone). Once the status bar appears, everything is peachy. I have tried all of the remedies that have been recommended, other than restoring as a new phone. I had to do that last year to fix my music issues, and I'm not looking forward to doing it again.

Mines was freezing for the first two days after you unlock but it just magically disappeared

It's a background, syncing, indexing, or something software. Mine did this too. I'm just happy it's working perfect now. Next time I move to a new beta I won't freak out because I'll know the lag/freezing is temporary. =)

I have the same issue and I can confirm this is not an indexing issue at least not for everyone. You can't tell me my phone has been indexing for over a week? Plus, I reset as a new device and the problem is still occuring. That said I personally think the issue is related/linked to Siri Suggestions. Once I turned off Siri Suggestions (General --> Spotlight Search --> Siri Suggestions Disabled) my phone is buttery smooth and that's with Touch ID enabled. The one common theme with this issue is it appears to be more prevalent on the 128GB models.

If it is Siri suggestions then why does my phone, which is 128GB work just fine with that feature and all others turned on?

After 10 days of heavy use I have had no problems at all with my phone.

I wish I had an answer obviously results will vary all I can tell you is what worked for me to correct the problem. I also have a iPhone 6s 128GB running iOS 9.0.2.

I hate to be that guy and I really don't believe this to be the issue but maybe it has something to do with the different chips (TSMC vs Samsung) Like I said I really don't think so I do feel this is a software bug.

I'd love to tell you which chip is in mine but I'll be damned if I'm going to run some dodgy bit of Chinese software to find out. Maybe some such utility will come out from a more trustworthy source.

There have been a couple utilities. Mine wasn't a free one though.

The app I used was called System Status.

I use this one as well awesome app. I have a TSMC chip :) I am going to see if 9.1 fixes the issue if not I guess the next step is to do an exchange because I sure as hell will not continue using my phone without Siri Suggestions I just see this as a temporary solution. This problem a side I am loving my iPhone 6s.

TSMC chip here as well, which supposedly performs better. and some word on another site says for those having issues most likely have the Sammy chip. hmm...

about a week and a half, and my issues are still keeping up with my usage. and today was such a laggy day with this phone especially switching between an active call and some apps. oh, and BT connectivity has been so frustrating.

do you not get the status bar taking a few seconds to appear after unlocking the phone?

Don't take it back, mine does that for one day after purchase, and it doesn't do this anymore.

Don't waste your time for a swap.

Might have too mate, its been like this since launch as well my touchid doesnt seem that great, doesnt seem as fast as everyone elses.

I get a 'pause' when I'm in my calendar.

It happens when I go to invite someone to the event. I type the first letter of the contact's name and suddenly there's nothing else happening as I'm typing the 2nd & 3rd etc letters.

After about 10 seconds, it suddenly 'catches up' and all's well again.

I have my contacts stored as part of my Hosted Exchange email from MS if that helps.
