With so many swaps, I wonder when refurbished units will be for sale.

I've actually had better luck with their refurbished units. The replacements I've always got are usually ending up being better than the device I'm replacing. I'm thinking it's due to a second QC moment when they replace parts on it to ensure its up to standard.

Updated to beta 4. No lag like I'd thought I would have after OS update. Device didn't even get as hot as last time when updating.

It's seeming to be faster, the keyboard us positioned slightly higher (I'm using Swype), and that's all I've noticed so far.

that's a paid version, right? Swiftkey is just horrible. it made even the more horrible native keyboard the preferable choice. if only it just had a swiping feature. does Swype allow you to move the cursor around like the native keyboard does?

I only had one lockup today. I tried to unlock with the home button and nothing happened. Then I hit the wake button and nothing happened. Then suddenly the screen popped on and took a screen shot.

This, or something very similar, happens to mine somewhat frequently. It is perfect otherwise. So I don't want to exchange it...yet.

The new beta, doesn't fixed the unlock lag with touch ID, where the status bar disappears and phone is unresponsive for about 2-5 seconds until the status bar comes back.

WTF, did you clean install? anyways i have a new device replaced by Apple today, and have no issues, so seems like it could be hardware.

Yes, I have done everything possible before I contacted Apple. I'm glad you got yours replaced, I haven't received not even a single email from Apple confirming my replacement. Like I previously said, not happy with their slow service.

Believe me it wasn't easy getting a replacement, at first they thought it was because i was running beta 3, and then i had to keep unlocking the phone and showing all the crash logs and eventually it was replace under 14 days as i was just like take it back and i will buy another, haven't got any stuff on this new model so it could be that what is making it not do the same (hope not) but i will be able to test all day tomorrow at work.

Keep us updated. I can't go to the store, they are sold out everywhere.

My 6S 128GB does the status bar delay. Also, there's a 2-3 second delay from the time the phone starts ringing to the time the screen wakes. I've been testing it with Apple Support, and I am almost certain the status bar delay is tied to your phone being idle for a certain period of time. If I continually lock and unlock, it doesn't do it. If I let it sit for a few minutes then unlock it, it does it almost every time.

Also wanted to add this is on a completely bare bones phone. I just clicked through all the setup menus, didn't turn on Siri, iCloud, or anything. Also reset all settings and content twice. Still does it. This is iOS 9.0.2.

Still odd that nobody's figured out just what is causing this. Just glad I was lucky enough not to suffer from that problem.

Got a new 128gb 6S Plus after returning the previous one that was suffering from this.

New out of the box phone has the same problem, delay on unlock after sitting idle. Haven't even set anything up yet!

Must be software...

yeah so kinda pointless of us to exchange for another unit. lets wait for the update

you tested on beta 4 with a clean install? Still having the unlock lag?
Yep clean install and still the same lag. As previously mentioned, it seems like the phone takes long to show the status bar as the phone is in an idle state and needs to power the processor.

darn... ok lets wait for an update. sigh...thanks for testing dude.

I have both 64 and 128 6S+ and the 64 doesn't have that 2 second delay the 128 does can anybody else confirm this? Haven't read all the pages to see what model or memory phone it happens to. Don't really think it's a deal breaker but it is interesting.

i'm on a 6S 64. it has the issue. what versions are both phones running on?

I'm on 9.1 beta 4, but it still did the status bar lag under 9.0.2, 9.1 beta 3 and 9.1 beta 4. Annoying to say the least.

can only hope the final release of 9.1 resolves the issue, or an interim 9.0.3 fixes it
