just curious. are you samsung or tmsc?
TMSC but this is my second 6S+. I exchanged the first due to a faulty home button. That had a Samsung chip and didn't lag either...
Are you experiencing a system-wide lag or is it just for a few seconds after unlocking the phone?

just unlock lag with touch id

me running beta now and seems better let see. if not fixed by early next week ima just exchange it again since my first phone didnt have lag at all

I've restored but getting this brief pauses and freezes. It looks like i need to setup as a new phone which is a PITA! Why do I have to setup as a fresh phone every time... so many threads of people saying 'yeah, it's ok, do a restore, it's totally fine'.

Is anyone else getting these issues?

No issues here iPhone 6s working flawless.

ok another update been 9.1 beta. lag is significantly reduced. almost none. keep monitoring tomorrow

This is annoying me. Had my iPhone exchanged at Apple (6s 128gb) and the lag is still there! A Samsung chip inside. When does it go away or does it ever? The genius did a 9.0.2 upgrade at the store before walking out and then I set it up as a new phone from scratch. This is extremely annoying that you have to freeze on a phone using Touch ID and then wait a second or two for a status bar to appear before your apps respond!! I even tried deleting the Touch ID finger prints and set up just one as suggested by one of the posts here yet the lag is still there. This is pathetic and apple quality control and assurance is being outsourced probably to a guy in Antarctica with no tools to debug the bloody software against the hardware before release!!!!!

I agree, it is extremely annoying! For now remedy for my device was deleting fingerprints and registering only one, and since yesterday I haven't seen any lag whatsoever. At this point it definitely looks like a software issue (some incompatibility inside iOS 9).

Hope it fixed soon!

No issues with lag here on my 6s Plus since launch day and have 5 prints stored for Touch ID.

I have the same issue. Very disappointed. I hope they fix in the next update.

I have a 128g set up as new device and have the same lag issues. Very disappointed. Acts like Touchwiz on Samsung.

My 6S with the TSMC had the unlock lag issue, but my 6S+ with Samsung chip doesn't surprisingly. Both were originally set up as new.

6s+ w/Sammy. No unlock lag l, but I HAVE had it freeze up while in sleep mode. It seems to come more frequently if I'm plugging and unplugging my iPhone a lot.

After recovery restore no status bar lag. But.... I don't have Touch ID on yet. Shame if that's what causing the issues. The best feature has to be turned off to avoid frustrating lag.

Wow what happened to the amazing and powerful A9 processor, surely no one should have lag and you guys also have an amazing amount of ram 2 gb???

So my phone was fine after the first day or so and stayed that way for the past week. But slowly over the past day it has started to come back and has now fully returned.

Not sure what the deal is here, but I hope it's software because I really don't want to bother with swapping it. I've got 3 days left in my 14 day return window..

First phone I had was completely lag free, but had an earpiece problem so took it back and got this one which has unlock lag.

Edit: Now that I think about it.. Yesterday I logged out of my Australian App Store account and logged into my US one to download FB Paper. So maybe it does have something to do with syncing account info somewhere. I've noticed when I do that I have to re-enable iCloud Music and re-sync my music, so maybe there's something else too.... Just a thought
