Look at the status bar, there are my videos plus many other people, status bar lag, max 5 seconds, nothing can be used on the phone during this time. 5 seconds might not seem like a long time, but it builds up throughout the day.

It's a Touch ID bug if it only happens whilst unlocking.

Not being funny mate, but its not just a touch id bug, i have videos showing the phone without touch id enabled doing it, and with, i have had my handset replaced and I'm still having the status bar lag, me and a few others think it might be an issue with 128gb models, but not sure.

Fair enough. I experience zero lag with mine anywhere. 64GB.

I give up with my 6s+. The status bar lag has been there through 3 restores and never goes away. At times the status bar takes up to 4 seconds to show up and the phone is not usable until the status bar appears. Every time I unlock the phone it is at least 2 seconds of lag and unresponsiveness. All restores were setup as new and only one finger was registered. Lag does not change after a couple of days and sometimes it gets worse. I believe the phone is defective and I'm going to wipe the phone and return to Apple. I can tolerate occasional lag but this is ridiculous.

The 6s that my wife owns had status bar lag when we first got it. After the 9.02 update the lag is only about 1 second. I also noticed on the 6s that the animations for 3d touch when pressing either the phone or message icon were much smoother on the 6s then the 6s+. On my 6s+ when you 3d touch the phone icon to get the menu it appears to drop frames and does not look as smooth. Other than that the 6s+ runs smooth and is quick and responsive.

Is there a correlation between networks with this issue. I've not got any issue of the sort on my 6S Plus. Wondering if there is some correlation between device, network or even chipset.

I have a unlocked device from Apple with Samsung chip. Never had any issue with touchid or with status bar delay.

Not really sure. Both phones are on cricket network. I have pulled the sim and makes no difference. Even put it into airplane mode.

6S+ is a Samsung chip unlocked sim free bought From Apple
6s is a TSMC chip unlocked t-mobile bought from Apple

okay, my keyboard glitches are still here.

I've had some apps freeze up on me, still. and they're not consistently the same apps.

I was trying to show some videos to a couple of co-workers, but they kept freezing or just not playing. also, I was trying to zoom on a few pics, but it was so screwed up - like, only the center portion of the image was zooming while the outer part stayed the same. weird.

Never have had this problem on my 6s+. Lag free since day one. Hope they have a fix for you all affected soon.

My only problem is the unlock lag and it's not because the status bar is showing up after 4 seconds. It's because the phone is unusable until it shows up. Beyond that problem I love the phone.

Is yours a 128GB? Am I wrong in thinking that everyone that's experiencing this issue has a 128gb model? Count me in. 6S plus 128 showing the status bar lag when unlocked. I've had every iPhone since 2008 (apart from the 4S) & it's the first time I encounter this. If it is only 128 models, I might be tempted to downgrade to a 64gb one.

I was thinking that also but reading back through this thread you'll find 64gb users too.

Seems like an easy software fix and I've been waiting since 9.0.2. Count me in for the next beta. The last thing I want is a dodgy replacement.

I read about a user who jailbreak his iphone 6s and installed, enabled virtual home quick unlock and it fixes the issue but of course its jailbreak

Kinda moving closer and closer in downgrading to a 64GB model, My fiancé has just bought a Rose Gold 6S+ 64GB and its like butter, two devices i have had and both have been TSMC devices and both have this issue.

Can everyone try this and see if it helps?

Turn off 3D Touch and see if the issue remains. I turned it off around 2 hours and noticed that the unlock completely disappeared. The status bar no longer disappears at all. I turned 3D Touch back on after a half hour, and the lag is still completely gone. I'm wondering if this really helps or if it's just a coincidence.
