Haven't had any lag issues since 6pm last night. But for the first 6 hours I had the phone (6S, 128gb), I had all the described lag here, especially if waking phone after not using it for a minute or longer.

But haven't been able to reproduce all evening after 6pm last night or this morning. Went away in its own.

128gb 6s plus .. fresh install of 9.0.1 and many times when I unlock the phone it becomes frozen for a good 3-5 seconds. Then it plays catch up .. WTF

Touch ID is so fast the phone can't catch up and waits for normal function before unlocking

/sarcasm

For the indexing folks this is mostly confined to unlocking screen and not app performance. In that case it's not hardware it's clearly software

Yesterday I was having the problem where the phone would freeze after unlocking with Touch ID. The top bar wouldn't draw and I couldn't launch an app. It would last about a second. After that clears up the phone was fine. I started noticing it late afternoon all the way to early evening.

Since late last night and so far today I haven't seen the problem.

I just have one issue now. The notification on the Settings app won't go away inspite of upgrading to 9.0.1 and rebooting numerous times. See attachment. Any solutions for this?!

Settings -> Usage -> Check if the ios update is there. delete it off

Guys... i am testing on ios 9.1 public beta 2 now. Seeing if the unlock lag goes away. Will provide an update

Have you guys tried to turn off the transparency. And yes, this will remove the transparent look & feel but it will speed up your iPhone performance
Settings > General > Accessibility > Increase Contrast > Reduce Transparency (Turn ON)

This issue makes the phone so frustrating to use, it even freezes if a call comes in and the screen has been locked for a minute+. My watch is ringing but the phone is frozen, about 5 seconds delayed.

I really hope someone from Apple is reading this.

Count me in on the stutter, froze up, mess. I have everything turned off (location, spotlight, 3D Touch, Apple Music etc)

No change for me, even a reboot didn't fix it

So I am still having minor pauses when I unlock. It's the same as before. Not too annoying but it's enough to be. Lol. I'll wait it out and see if a software fix does it or maybe I need to do a restore. Wipe the phone, restore from 9.0.1 and the restore my backup. I did a restore and then update to 9.0.1 after I got my phone. Who knows.

I set mine up as new, as I do every new iPhone. Same issue. Lags, unlocks lag, app loading lag. My phone also has a wonky silence switch and power on/off switch. How does one get such a new device replaced by Apple this early?? Bought online via Apple.com

I haven't used my 128gb 6s Plus much but it is flying and much quicker than my 6 Plus which did used to lag. No issues with my iPad Air 2. I didnt set my 6s up from new. Just a restore from the back up

I've just received my iPhone 6S Plus last night and every so often it would freeze for a second or two. Sometimes when I was swiping between home screens, it would freeze half-way through the animation.

This morning it seems OK though (so far).

Has anybody else experienced this? I'm thinking maybe the phone was indexing my content but it still seems weird and I'm concerned...
