I kinda think mine has improved too. Maybe it's just me getting used to it, but it's only half as bad as it was originally. My wife agrees but I suspect she's just saying that in hopes I'll shut up about it.

hahaha... same here :D

Tint DOES NOT mean defect. Every screen has a different color temp which makes a white more cold (blue looking) or warm (yellow looking).

It is NOT, say this with me, NOT a defect. It is a characteristic of the screen revision. You cannot compare a 6 to 6S screen. They're 2 totally different runs of screens with different tech used.

If everyone's screen is warmer that is just the color temp of your screen by that manufacturer, since there are many in the supply chain. But they all seem to be on the warmer side overall this year. Deal with it or go back to your 6/6+. People are clearly going through boxes at the store and they're ALL the same. You open yourself up to 50 other potential problems to whine about swapping out though if your phone is otherwise perfect.

If only a small # were exhibiting this then it may be more likely to be a defect but not when about 90% of people say they see it too. Either the 10% just aren't noticing it, don't care (as I don't) or aren't comparing it side by side with another phone which makes it even more obvious.

My issue is not with different color temps, I can accept that, but why can't we get uniform screens with out far spots, book spines etc? That's what really bothers me.

BTW this is not a 6S/6 issue. I've had most iPhones/iPads since inception and most if not all models have had this issue. It is possible to get uniform screens but it is def a lottery.

Little concerned here guys, I've taken a quick photo of my screen and noticed it's very yellow compared to my Macbook and iPhone 4 screen. Considering the price I'm not exactly thrilled to see the screen like this.

I love the device but I'm wondering whether to go to my local Apple store and ask about what can be done. What's the verdict from you guys?

I upgraded from an iPhone 6 and the first thing I noticed when setting up my 6s is the screen looks a lot more warmer in tone then my 6.

I got both phone side by side and can confirm the screen tone is a lot more warmer on the iPhone 6s.

This is not a defect but just the colour temperature Apple decided to go with. They can easily fix this with a software update. Everyone needs to understand this is a software setting and not a hardware fault.

From my technical understanding this is what I think the temperatures are set as:

iPhone 6: 7500k to 9300k range
iPhone 6s: 6500k

I'd rather a warmer screen but that seems way too yellow even for my taste.

Personally I'm pretty satisfied with mine. My imagination wants to tell me the whole upper left corner is yellow. Even if it is I literally just got off the Air 2 train, and I don't feel like doing it again. Hopefully Apple expands OLED usage to phones and tablets with the next generation. It'll be great to buy the 7S and not worry about this stuff anymore.

Is it as this yellow or is that screen defective?? Looks like some employee pissed into the phone when assembling it...

So if i order 6s+ from apple store (a net store, we dont have apple stores here), can i return it back if i dont like the screen and make another order? Or do i have to ask a replacement or what?

You have 14 days to return the phone no questions asked. In your case, you can't really tell because your comparing it to a non iPhone device. Put it side by side an iPhone and then make a comparison. But for that picture, yes the iPhone has a "warm hue". I personally like the cold blue tint.

After using it for a couple of days the yellow tint seem to have gone away a bit. I'm now getting more of the blue hue. Not sure if it's just me or what. Just an observation after what someone has commented about using it for a bit and it will change, seems to be true.

Normally needs a few use to warm up the colors.

Return that piss-yellow phone. Bring in that photo comparing the phones and the Macbook and they'll see it is obvious. When I exchanged my retina MBP I did this (brought in comparison photos) and they didn't hesitate to replace.

Just went to the local store, because it was an online order I have to deal with Apple Care over the phone and have a replacement exchange delivered. Bummer.

Seriously? That doesn't seem right? You could just return the iPhone at your store and re-buy / reserve for pick up at that store? Surely you can return an iPhone to an Apple store if you bought it online.

He said I could repurchase a new iPhone on the spot and they could instigate a refund there and then, but there's that period between starting the refund and the money reentering my account which would be unfeasible.

They said there's a separation between online stock and retail stock for exchanges etc, I was sceptical but did a look on the net and their story is true, annoying as it sadly is.

Gotcha, I understand. Good luck with the replacement.

Mine looks like that as well. Not in color tone, I think mine is a little cooler, but the way the screen varies in brightness from side to side.

UPDATE:

Just received mine and it is slighly yellow tinged. It appears more to the top. I will wait to see if it goes away for a few days and if not, will go and get a replacement phone. Also, don't let them shove the Genius Bar replacements down your throat. Within the first 14 days, you can get a new box replacement, so don't go for the service. I'd rather not take my chances regardless of what people say about Genius Bar units early on.

There won't be any refurbs at this point.

Can confirm. Last night I was at the Genius Bar, he said the replacements are still brand new phones.

So are you looking to swap or are you keeping the one you have? I feel like my problem is so minor that I'm more likely to get a phone that's worse than the one I have, especially seeing history with the 6.

My phone looks very similar to this, maybe a touch worse as far as shadowing at the top of the phone. I don't think it's worth getting into the exchange game.

I'm in the same boat with my blue tinted 6s. Looks like I have denim pant stains on the edge of my screen.

The yellowest of yellow crud screens make some iDevices look vintage and cigarette stained.

A warm screen is one thing, some lemons are another.
