the screen alone is justified for the X being a better device. if it weren’t for the dual camera, the 8+ would look like a 6+. just old tech.

I’ll take the battery life over strangers being able to tell I’ve got The Latest iPhone™ from a distance, but it’s all personal preference at the end of the day :)

In landscape I have the bookmarks bar in the left.... idk why lol.
I figured it out.
[doublepost=1510032941][/doublepost]I guess I don’t see the problem with it not being zoomed. When I’m zooming in it’s generslly to get a better view of something. I won’t have it zoomed in and then pan around much.

Then the right side has cut off content and the bottom bar is still in the way. Try again.
no it doesn't.. try it.

if the notch is on the right and you zoom the site (double-tap)..
it will fill from the left edge up to the notch.. if you further zoom (spread), you will lose content out of the left side prior to any notch interference.

again, try it.

Yes and then it looks like this...

Not acceptable in my opinion.

I agree, the notch is a huge turn off from the X for me. Very poor design decision on Apple's part (something that is becoming rather common as of late). I shouldn't have to deal with this sort of inconvenience on a high end $1000 phone.

Still looks off
of course it does..
that's one crappily designed website right there.
;)

[edit]
that said.. it's such a weak thing to be arguing about anyway.

websites on phones are viewed in portrait in the majority of cases.. (by faaaaarrr)

me personally-- i never browse the web in landscape.. maybe i'll turn it for images/videos online but reading? portrait.. always.

I was kind of torn between keeping my X or trading it for an 8+. I’ve been with Apple since the beginning, and coming from a plus phone that had a home button takes some getting used to. But after playing with the settings to remove the yellow screen tint, now making it more bright and vibrant, I’m starting to really like the X a lot better. Not to mention the speakers on this thing are definitely kick ass. I thought the screen seemed smaller than a plus, but we actually get more screen length than width. That means less scrolling. It’s a new design, so it takes time to adapt. It’s like breaking in some new shoes. I still don’t like the smaller keyboard, but not everything is perfect. But I do realize the X isn’t for everyone, so I believe that’s why they offer the 8 and 8+ which was a really nice option, as well. :)

Better battery, bigger usable screen space, touch id is more natural, better screen (as in no color shift)

Plus my X is giving me eye fatigue and headaches due to the refresh rate.

I was getting eye fatique and headaches from using Galaxy s8 and Google Pixel Xl (1st gen). Funny thing that i never had this with LCD screens.
I really hope that oled manufacturers do something about that in near future (for those unlucky bastards like us) :)

The x is a great phone, but what apple needed to release was the iphone x +. I will buy that

There is no way Apple had enough OLED panels to produce two size iPhones this year. Samsung was the only supplier they can actually meet the demand to manufacture an OLED panel for the iPhone X. The iPhone X Plus will likely be a reality In 2018.
