can they do a designated secondary delivery place?
i had to phone apple and ask them to tell ukmail to leave with my uni office if i'm not in. not sure if they will though so i might leave a note on the door

Bah, UKMail for me too so no time window. Or do they give a window now? Don't recall them doing so in the past.

At least you guys are getting iPads shipped! Mine is still not even in the support profile :(

On and @jojods do you mind me asking what uni course you do and if you plan to use your shiny new iPad as a study tool? Maybe with the pencil? Just curious :)

They do indeed give a window, it only appears after the driver sets off so don't be alarmed if it says out for delivery but doesn't have a window. Also you get to know how many deliveries the driver has before you so you get a good idea of how quick they are moving.

Aah right thanks, wasn't aware of that.

UPS are my usual. Always the same guy too, one time he said "I always seem to come here when Apple release something" lol.

Yea I always had UPS up until the 6S, and like you I only got to know my driver. There is something nice about UPS, shame Apple don't use them much in the UK anymore

Anyone remember when the tracking number likely to start working eg showing up with DPD?

Do you have the number? Has Apple set the status of your order to shipped? If so then in my experience it shouldn't be more than a couple of hours

Morning everyone,
Just wondering, how do you exactly track on UK Mail and what number do you actually have to put in?
There's options for : consignment / card number
Or
Customer reference

So far, so good. But which of the numbers do you put where?
I got the usual apple order number starting with w,
then I have a delivery reference number in the email
and then
the long tracking number on the apple order status page.
I'm getting confused here. There's too many options.

On the Apple store click on 'Tracking' and your then given some further info, your tracking number should be in blue as its a hyperlink (mine is) click that and hey presto!
Just checked both DPD and Uk Mail tracking and nothing showing yet on mine, will keep checking regularly as that will update at some point soon.

yeah, I did click on the link. I just wondered which of the numbers to put in directly at uk mail, but maybe they don't have my parcels yet (my case should be delivered today)
Thanks for your reply though :)

I have the number and Apple changed the status (last night) to Dispatched, but DPD site still cannot find my tracking number

Once you get your delivery details (most likely later tonight) call them/tweet and ask them to delivery elsewhere, they can do this.

You will get notification details later tonight much later, then more details once it arrives to your local depot early tomorrow morning.

There constantly changing, you wont know until tonight

You won't get any details until it hits the carriers depot, which is mostly likely later tonight

You seem to know what you're talking about. Do you know which number you'd have to use on UK mail to see the tracking. Syncreon works now, but which of the many numbers we got works for UK mail?
I assume they don't have the parcels yet, but it would be nice to track the delivery on UK mail later tonight.

Syncreon have there own tracking details to which if they then give over to UKMail once it arrives at there depot, they'll then give there own tracking details for that parcel, I assume none of them Syncreon numbers will work with any carrier until they receive it and give it there own.

Most of the time the carriers won't have the parcels until somewhere between 16:00 - 23:00 all depending on trunking and depot locations. You will get the details much later tonight once it arrives at the depot, then further detail once it going through the network.

Excellent return policy. No questions asked.

Even if opened, and tried?

I just read their returns policy, and it states that undamaged items must be in a "saleable" condition. But you know what some of these companies can be like.

Have you ever returned an opened electrical (computer/tablet) item to them, and received a hassle free refund?

If there are issues with the iPads I receive from Apple, I might buy from John Lewis instead.

That 2 year guarantee is superb ...

Apologies if it's been asked before but is there an option to reserve at an Apple Store and pick up tomorrow or is it just a case of turn up and hope they have some left ?

for ipad air 2 I didn't know whether I wanted white or black, so I bought both and after a few days returned the white one. Just look after it and they'll take returns just fine. Its a really good policy and is making me tempted to try the smart keyboard to see if I can adjust to it.

Thanks, fella.

Have you ordered your iPad Pro from them, or Apple?

Syncreons tracking is a joke. I just downloaded the delivery app by Ivan Pavlov that a pp mentioned earlier and it's the bees knees.
Note: This is just for my iPad case that should be delivered today(ordered yesterday around 5pm), but I can't wait til it shows progress on my iPad :D

Just received that special text from DPD, confirming delivery of the iPads tomorrow!

DPD really is the best courier I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.

From the text you can rearrange delivery for another day, to deliver to a neighbour, or collect from DPD yourself.

On delivery day, you will be given a 1 hour slot.

You can also track (physically SEE your driver's little van on a map, moving in real time) and you can always see which delivery number he/she is on, and which delivery number you are.

Honestly, they are the best ...
