Just received that special text from DPD, confirming delivery of the iPads tomorrow!

DPD really is the best courier I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.

From the text you can rearrange delivery for another day, to deliver to a neighbour, or collect from DPD yourself.

On delivery day, you will be given a 1 hour slot.

You can also track (physically SEE your driver's little van on a map, moving in real time) and you can always see which delivery number he/she is on, and which delivery number you are.

Honestly, they are the best ...

Syncreons tracking is a joke. I just downloaded the delivery app by Ivan Pavlov that a pp mentioned earlier and it's the bees knees.
Note: This is just for my iPad case that should be delivered today(ordered yesterday around 5pm), but I can't wait til it shows progress on my iPad 😀

On and @jojods do you mind me asking what uni course you do and if you plan to use your shiny new iPad as a study tool? Maybe with the pencil? Just curious 🙂

They do indeed give a window, it only appears after the driver sets off so don't be alarmed if it says out for delivery but doesn't have a window. Also you get to know how many deliveries the driver has before you so you get a good idea of how quick they are moving.

@int79 sorry bud didn't get a notification, I study economics and social policy. Hopefully my shiny pencil can upgrade my note taking skills and with notability I can record my lecturer. Really looking forward to reading coursework on the true tone display!

Have you ordered your iPad Pro from them, or Apple?

apple. Easter holidays means difficult to get to a store so I ordered online and Apple were live first. Although demand for ipads seems muted so no real rush.

although now I've just found out I'll be in Reading on Thursday so could have picked up in store either at Apple or JL. Will use the opportunity to try the keyboard out instead.

Any ideas?
Where did you get your UKMail number from? I tried the one from the Apple site but that only seems to work on Syncreon

Take the very long tracking number from apple starting with 3 (at least in my case) put it in the delivery app and select uk mail. It will say something like : delivery info is not yet available
Click on the ... In the upper right corner and click on 'track on website' from there you can click on more info.

I'm having this exact issue, really annoying!

Edit: Can't even track the status on UK Mail's website despite it showing on Syncreon's... I assume UK Mail haven't assigned it their own tracking number yet?
 
The issue is most likely because the carrier doesn't have the goods! So they can't provide any details until it's in the hub depot for distribution to local depots.

This can be anytime from now until midnight

Thought that could be the case hence my edit above! Thanks 🙂. You seem insanely knowledgable about deliveries!

Have you selected UKMail as the courier when inputting the shipment details into the app?

I've made this mistake before.

Also, with regards to the shipment/consignment number, it's always best to copy & paste.

We all make mistakes!

Additionally, did you know that you can track on the company's website directly from within the app? This is a handy way to check that you've entered the details correctly ...

Yeah I've taken all the usual steps, going to assume that it's as Blujelly says, they've still got all of today to assign the packages to the drivers etc so I'm sure it'll sort itself out before tomorrow. They seem pretty good at texting with updates so far anyway so I'm sure I'll get delivery slot soon.

Just glad it's getting delivered to work so I don't have to stress about being in!

UKMail are just as good as DPD.

They provide delivery updates and tracking that's the same as DPD
Do they send you an one hour slot as well or can you see how many deliveries they are away from you? That would be really good. I was a bit sad when I didn't get DPD.

Yeah they give you an hour window, with tracking to see what delivery number the driver is on etc
