My iPads have now been dispatched.

Delivery on Thursday (31st) by DPD.

This suits me perfectly, as they will be delivering my Silicone Case & Smart Cover at the same time (the covers were due for delivery tomorrow, but I rearranged for Thursday to coincide with the delivery of the iPads).

Glad it's DPD: That 1 hour slot is superb.

I actually enjoy the build-up to receiving Apple stuff, more than the stuff itself!

Much like the countdown to going on holiday ...

I have mixed result with DPD. They delivered my 64Gb Apple TV 4 on launch day. I caught the guy trying to deliver it to the wrong house. Three doors up. Surely reading the number right on the package is kind of important in that job!!

They deliver all of my sports supplements, and have always been amazing.

Maybe you can hang a sign out of your window for the driver?

;-)

I also use that Parcel app! It's pretty handy and will be logging my iPad tracking details in a second!

Mine has been dispatched, and it's DPD with mine! My favourite courier in all honesty! My pencil arrived today. They were meant to deliver it on Saturday but couldn't be around for the delivery! Super simple to rearrange delivery for today though! :D

Now, the wait begins...

I could stick one of the many Apple stickers to the gatepost??

I agree though, the one hour delivery window is great. Kinda sucks most of the other courier firms can't/won't implement this. It would prevent so many failed delivery attempts.

Did you say 64gb? Thought apple axed the 64gb option for the smaller pro and went with 128gb . My rose gold 128gb cellular shipped this evening but its keyboard was delivered today as opposed to april as per original estimates .
One question . Is anyone here going to put a air 2 screen protector on theirs ? Thinking of one so my existing pencil doesn't scratch it on the long run

24th 08:00 ish.

Just got the email, dispatched. Delivered by DPD(!).

Very jelly ;) this is my first experience with DPD for years and by all accounts they have come on leaps and bounds now. My pencil has just left their Hinckley Superhub arriving tommorow. Not if that iPad would ship, I'd be happy! :D (and hopefully it's also DPD)

Yay! iPad also dispatched 8 minutes ago!
delivery via DPD

I had planned on spending all this evening just checking the status of my order over and over... i'm at a loss of what to do with myself now :)

Is it in the support profile? Has anyone seen shipped without it being in the support profile?

Ah, i thought that might be it. None of the stuff i've bought from Apple has appeared there automatically, i've always had to add the serial numbers manually. Maybe there's a setting on my account i need to change.

John Lewis still have a fair few IPP 9.7 available to order for collection on Thursday for anyone that hasn't ordered yet and doesn't have an Apple store nearby :)

When you place your order you need to be logged in with your Apple ID, and if you were then I'm not sure why it's not there :/

The worst firm is Yodel!

You can literally wait at home all day, like a doughnut!

Same here. I hope they're better than their online reviews.

UKMail is a good courier.

They also provide one hour delivery slots ...

John Lewis is good because you get a 2 year warranty with all of their electrical items.

What's their return policy like?

With regards to dead pixels, specifically ...

I doubt the Air 2 screen protector would affect functionality of the True Tone Display or the pencil since the display doesn't detect pressure, unlike 3D Touch, so tilt and force information will still be transmitted through bluetooth.

Dispatched with DPD.

Is there any hope that these will be delivered tomorrow? Obviously DPD, UPS and UKMail need only one day to deliver and if they're given to them by Apple today...?

There is no chance of it being delivered before Thursday. Apple have strict instructions for all couriers they use to hold launch day products for delivery on that day.

I don't normally get deliveries from Apple on launch day as I usually just reserve and buy it from the Apple Store but I don't see what would be so wrong if they delivered early. I certainly wouldn't mind! :)

It's not something Apple would condone and they wouldn't allow early deliveries. There has probably been the odd lapse in the past where something has been delivered before launch day but its very rare for that to happen. It's highly unlikely anyone will get their iPads before Thursday.

They really aren't....my company at work always used to use DPD and they seemed fine but were an expensive contract so we changed to UK mail and now we get literally about 2 or 3 complaints a week about things getting lost or not turning up on the right date. We only send around 40 parcels a week and with DPD we'd get about 1 complaint a month, if that.......UK mail are so much worse.[/QUOTE]

Whilst the bluetooth connection should work i don't think the keyboard will physically connect to the iPad as I believe the magnets are in a different position on the Pro compared to the Air due to the smart connector. I also have a Logitech bluetooth keyboard for my Air 2 which acts as a front cover when not in use using the magnets. I'll try it when I get my Pro but I'm not holding my hopes up that it will work. Same with the Air smart cover. It in all reality probably won't work.
From what I have read, the Smart Cover will stick to the side as normal but it won't stick to the face or put it to sleep as its those magnets that have moved.
