Mine were ordered for Dec 29th delivery from the Canadian store on the first day of order. They charged my card on a Tuesday and changed to prepare for delivery. They shipped overnight from Harrisburg PA and went on a trip around Harrisburg via UPS before being returned to Apple for an unknown reason around 1130 this morning. Contacted chat and all details are right - Apple says they will reship within 2 business days. They have know idea why UPS returned them.

Fortunately for me I picked up a 2 pairs on Monday at International Plaza in Tampa. I imagine by the time I return to Canada they will be waiting for me at my office.

News flash: Customers may receive ugly, bad sounding, buggy earbuds sooner than expected . . .

I know you must be joking here. I smiled and continued to listen and enjoy my earbuds.

Don't feed the trolls- Coal in their stockings instead!

Looking at ordering from eBay. There are some not with bad markup. Just tired of hunting and long wait line with Apple. None locally, because of state not being in big market area.

No shock here, stores are getting regular inventory. I ordered 4 but was able to pick them up in the store this week so I cancelled my order, thus moving orders behind me forward in the queue. Happens most product launches of late. So weird, but it's the new Apple I suppose.

The stores in the bay area have tons rolling in\out on a daily basis. Yesterday I was in a store that had them in stock and thought gosh I could sell on ebay, but then I looked and they're averaging $265 including shipping, and after fees from ebay and Paypal I'd get about $225, and then I'd have to get a box and pay for shipping, which would cost another $10-15, so I'm left with $210, and the price is $159 plus 9% tax here in CA so $173. Sorry, for $37 I'm not going through the hoops to do all that, LOL

But I think there are a lot of people scooping them up in big quantities who are happy with those $$$'s

I'm sure you are one of those people who wears a tin foil hat.

Dont you love how he posted the comment either sitting in front of a computer screen, or holding a phone\tablet in his hand, both of which produce more radiation than Airpods?

How would that work? I actually prefer the seamlessness of these. You won't notice they're there. Glad I could change from Siri to play/pause for the double-tap. Outside that, I can use my watch to change tracks/albums and adjust volume. Pretty elegant solution.
One could create a Bluetooth-based iPod Shuffle (or even smaller) style clip on with buttons. Essentially a Bluetooth remote.

They need to a better job with these estimates! I ordered mine (stated January delivery) and now they're shipping. However, I'm leaving town today and won't be back till January. It's like Apple believes we buy their **** and just sit by the door and wait for it to arrive.

Geez, what chance have Apple got to keep customers like this one happy...

If you would prefer to wait a bit longer then why not cancel your current order and re-order them. That way someone else can move up the queue and get their AirPods a bit earlier. I'm sure most people would appreciate that.

Now I've seen it all. Complaining that Apple is delivering your product earlier than expected? Unreal.

Do you understand the concept of schedules or logistics? Is that something Apple shouldn't have to care about in regards to us peons? You tell people it's not coming during the holidays which is ok as most of us are leaving town for said holidays. Then Apple decides to ignore what THEY told us, and we're supposed to be ok with it!? I have family I plan on visiting, if the AirPods show up while I'm out of town they'll get turned away and I have to re-order them which will push them back even FURTHER then what I was originally told.

Was that too complicated for you to comprehend?

Yes, I would prefer to wait a BIT longer. But Apple is shipping it out for delivery next week. FedEx will re-try three times before returning it at which point I have to put in another order and that'll mean my original Jan 5th ETA is now FEBRUARY. Why is it some people are so simple minded.

You're really grasping at such a stupid complaint. Some people would kill to be moved up weeks early. Should Apple care about your personal schedule? No. Youre the one going away, they aren't changing their shipping around so it's convenient for you. They're shipping AirPods as fast as possible and you're legitimately complaining about it. Some people in this world just can never be happy.

That would of been a great idea to include in the charging case. Or if that's too big, a small SD card side clip that can slide into the charging case to keep it charged. As it stands now, if they release anything like that we'd have a separate item to charge.

This is the case for my order. I purchased them on the 13th, with an expected arrival date of Jan 5. Was notified yesterday that they shipped and are expected to deliver tomorrow! Very shocked (and impressed) by that quick turn around time.

Have you considered the possible reasons for the schedules moving up a bit? Could it be that those people who didn't get their orders in on time for Christmas maybe went to the retail stores this week and got fixed up. Then when they cancel their orders, other people get theirs moved up.

The other possibility is that Apple have managed to arrange additional manufacturing capacity to meet higher than expected demand.

Most couriers will let you request a redelivery date to suit you, or perhaps you can even get Apple to delay dispatch by asking them? In any event, pretty much everyone would agree that under-promising and over-delivering is the key to great customer service.

Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, is it? "They aren't changing their shipping around". EXCEPT THEY ARE! They're shipping outside their OWN time window with no options for the customer to adjust. That's pretty critical considering it's the holiday season and it's a huge travel time period.

I get that, but give us an option. As it stands now, my options are either cancel my vacation to receive the AirPods (not really an option), or re-order knowing they'll be delivered and turned away while I'm out of town. What's even worse, is that I reached out to have them re-route the delivery due to THEIR adjusted schedule and they say they can't do it.

They don't stay in my ears.. and for that reason, i'm out (insert shark tank theme song)
