Prossner wrong again. He’s a fake. Seriously, go to his twitter account. Everything he does is to increase his follower count. Not exactly the leaker you trust as you have to question what his motives are. More visibility or actual rumor?

Not to mention I found his account to be borderline vile
Within couple weeks he'll be proven wrong. It's all based on speculation. I honestly believe no one knows the correct dates besides Apple.

I’m excited for the new iPhones, iPad Pros (hopefully) and new AS iMacs / MacBook Pros. Already own Watch 5’s (me and my wife), so I don’t think we’ll upgrade unless there is something really compelling with them. We could pass our Watches to other family members not currently using Watches, so it could make sense to upgrade. Honestly, I haven’t felt this excited about where Apple is headed for a long time. It really feels like they’ve got a great cohesive product line in the works.

Julie suggests in her article that Mac Otakara suggests something which contradicts something Jon Prosser suggests. Might I suggest a thesaurus?

Synonyms: propose, says, claims, purports.

Right, we already all know that. Entry-level, meaning the cheapest, most affordable iPad, which is why it’s geared toward the educational segment (Which, I’ve already mentioned twice now that’s why they launch that during quarter 1 as they have for two years in a row). You’re just making obvious points for the sake of arguing over nothing. Everyone here knows that an entry-level iPad and educational iPad are mutual exclusive.
Not sure the point you’re trying to make, but sometime this fall, most likely next week, iPad (8th generation) and iPad Air (4th generation) will launch.

It doesn’t matter what he says or does, he’s gotten the iPhone SE date right, iMac dates right, so why on earth wouldn’t I believe him in this situation. He has given us actual dates here, where as whatever this website is is just giving us vague release times.
Literally, anyone can say that the Apple watches, iPhones, etc. are launching in September or October.
What very few people can do, and what John Prosser has been able to do, is give us an actual timeframe.
He said the iPhone SE would launch April 15. Every other website said that it would be launching “soon” or “in Q2.” But John said “April 15.” And wouldn’t you know it, it launched on April 15.
So when tons of websites say that the iPhone 12 and Apple Watch series 6 are launching in “September or October,” that tells me very little.
But when John says that the Apple Watch and iPads are launching “the week of September 7th” and that Apple will be holding an iPhone event on “the week of October 12,” that’s some useful information I can go off of.
With that information, I can narrow down possible release dates. For example, we know the products will be launching the week of September 7, but it will not be on September 7 itself because that’s Labor Day. Apples not gonna launch something on Thursday the 10th, because they never launch things on Thursday. And they’re definitely not gonna launch something on the 11th, for obvious reasons.
So thanks to his Twitter leak, I have narrowed it down to Tuesday, September 8, or Wednesday, September 9.
He said that the event will be on the week of October 12. Apple usually holds events on Tuesday or Wednesday, so it’s gonna be either the 13th or the 14th.
See what I mean? This is much more useful information than just saying “it’s coming in October.

Prosser is the most reliable of any of the 'leakers' at the moment, particularly around hardware releases. It seems very likely he does have sources within Apple, of some kind.
His tweet quoted earlier in this thread, about the September and October releases of the watch, ipad and iphones, is pretty specific, so will go a long way further to confirming his credibility if it comes to pass.

He has no more credibility than any of us guessing and getting it right 50% of the time.

The fact of the matter is that model registration filings are confirmation that announcements are coming in September.

Prosser hasn't done anything credible by piggy backing on this information.

You mean the time frame of “ready to ship” for the iMac and Apple TV he said back in March?

Nope. His hit rate is much higher than 50%.

He’s not guessing.

Jon is tripping big time. It is almost September and your telling me that Apple doesn't have a clue when they will release an iPhone 11 Pro or Pro Max model... Yeah right!!!!

He gets a grade C. That's just average - like all of us here.

“iPhone OS”gate... 🤪

Looks like AirTags are going to need silicone cases to actually attach themselves to anything. And there will be reviews on which cases might affect the range or accuracy. And of course, more stuff that ends up in the garbage, unless Apple offers a cheap recycling option when the internal battery, rechargeable or not, wears out. But cases always end up in the trash when they change form factors.
Good luck!

I don’t think September is happening for the iPhones.
First of all, as of last week, we know that they’re still testing different units, some with 120 Hz and others without. If the iPhones are really only a week or two away from an announcement, they would’ve had that figured out by now.
Secondly, almost every single source, not just John P, say that the iPhones haven’t even entered mass production just yet. Every source I can find say that mass production will start in September, pegging the launch for late October early November for all four models. Every other year that Apple has delayed an iPhone model, they still had one immediately released. In 2017, even though the iPhone X was delayed until November, the eight and 8+ still came out in September. In 2018, the iPhone XS came out in September, while the XR was delayed until October.
Thirdly, we have heard absolutely nothing from any carriers or Apple retailers about any black out period just yet. Usually, we start hearing wispering of pre-order dates and release dates about a month before the phone launches, because employees of the stores are told about the iPhone yearly rush. If the iPhones were truly coming out or to be announced in September, we would’ve had heard something from some type of carrier employee by now.
Fourthly, if the iPhone was to be announced at its normal release time, which would be next week or the week after, we would’ve seen invites go out by now. They always go out on the last Thursday of August, and the event is either the first Wednesday or second Tuesday of the month. None of that has happened, so if it is in September, it’s going to be in late September.
So for anyone who is still saying that the iPhones are coming out in September, do not believe them. Even Apple has said that the iPhones are delayed. Apple wouldn’t say that if they didn’t have to, but they have said it. They are literally telling you themselves that it will not be on schedule this year. That is not a rumor. That is right from the horses mouth.
Now as for Apple watches, iPads, and iPad Air‘s, they may come out this month. There has been absolutely no production difficulties for those products, and they were recently filed in the database. So those could be released any day now

These are definitely not having technical difficulties.

I hope Apple releases them but I would not discount the complexity of the Airtags. They have to work at scale, they have to be very reliable, and they have to be very secure. I would not be surprised if the delay may have been caused by security weaknesses that had to be addressed. The delay may be something totally different but the software technology is non-obvious.

You do know that Foxconn is hiring for seasonal workers and this was last month. iPhones are already in mass production.

They still hire. Also, if your theory is correct. Why would they hire in the middle of mass production. Wouldn’t they hire (before) mass production starts? Also...
Sorry if you don’twant to believe me, if you don’t want to believe people with access to the supply chain, if you don’t want to believe analyst, and if you don’t want to believe Apple themselves, but the iPhone 12 (is not) on schedule. It will not be announced next week like it would regularly, if it is announced in September it will be in late September, and even then most likely will not be. There is absolutely no incentive for Apple to announce the iPhone in September, just to not release it a month and a half to two months later. They have already said that it’s going to be delayed, so your best bet is that it will be announced and released in mid to late October.
