woops, Apple Legal requested they be pulled. That's pretty much confirmation that they are real.

If they're fake, why would Apple legal request to have them removed? Ultrathin keyboard anyone?
These people don't know Jay. Remember the iPod interface? Everyone screamed fake and pointed out all the graphic and sizing errors... They were all 100% wrong and they were legit. People here speculate, but that's all it is. Just a bunch of guesses no matter how "sure" they sound. It's simply a guess.

I agree, and if these designs are rumored to be true, then God help us all. That 17" MBP is still the ugliest thing I have ever seen and the worst mockup of all time.

At least the keyboard's mockup had some credibility to it. Since the Xserve RAID was in the shot with a whole lotta Tiger backgrounds I am not too sure about this rumor.

I really do hope they add the new keyboard to the updated MacBook Pro design. I finally tried out on of the new thin iMac keyboards the other day and I really liked the way it felt...much more so than my current MBP's keyboard.

I couldn't stand a black border on the MBP like is on the iMac though. That just screams "poor design" and "wasted space." I might have to switch down to a MB just because of that, and I really need the performance.

I think they might be real. We will see. Why else would Apple pull them, but not pull all the other mockups we have seen so far? What makes these so special? I think we all know...

Hence the name "Rumors" we're sharing information we found that could lead to something. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

The fact that Apple Legal asked the pages be pulled could mean many things, again as theheadguy said, we speculate.

something fishy... hang on.

Oo lets see! We need a poll. I vote real. Why? Here's an example:

What a friendly company Apple is. From garage born to a corporate behemoth with a bunch of suits for lawyers. And this forum scrambles to bow for The Great Master. Freedom of speech my foot!

If it so much as had an apple.com email address, it was proprietary information and Apple could ask to have it pulled.

If the black bezel doesn't make the total bezel any thicker, which is open to argument, I like it, but I still don't understand why we can't get the wonderful thinness of the TiBook bezel back.

And I've always much preferred the black on metal keyboard to the metal on metal.

Exciting, this, though...

I'm rooting for white keys with the aluminum, like the new Apple keyboards. Black and alum, not a big fan.

have the images moved from one address to another?
then moved from that address to another?
then moved to another address and are no longer taking credit cards?

oh wait, that's a different story... sorry :D

Go get em arn!!!

Apple Legal...

When the photos of the 3G iPod Nanos surfaced ahead of their debut were those images pulled by Apple Legal?

I think I remember a lot of skepticism in the vein of "Apple wouldn't make a new Nano that is that short and squat..." and then BAM, there they were.

I will not be surprised at WWDC if these images turn out to be true OR false.

This makes sense. But it doesn't explain why they are property of Apple in the first place, or why they were even put on the internet, or why the pictures even exist. And if they weren't real, I have a feeling Apple wouldn't be so quick about removing them.

@SamIchi: ooh, white on alum, controversial...

I love that on the thin keyboard, have to say, although I'm not so sure about it on a laptop. Maybe, though...
